I firmly believe that the prices charged at Picnic are too high for what you get by the way of the food and coffee. The food is okay for a deli come cafe but on occasions can lack consistency. You try something and enjoy and the next time it is not quite the same which results in dissapointment. Maybe it is just down to a different member of staff putting together the dish.

I have been a long standing customer at Picnic but after this morning I will not be back.A remark, made as joke, to the member of staff who was behind the counter about the cost of a latte being reduced in line with the current reduced price for milk resulted in an exchange of views with someone else who was in the premises. Unfortunate but I will go elsewhere from now on.

Picnic still continues to offer excellent food and service. Never been served by any member of the staff that was not polite. In fact if there has ever been anything wrong I have found that they listen and endeavour to put it right.

Lovely gluten free cheese and ham toastie with a nice fresh salad and coleslaw. The lady who served me was very friendly and helpful.

Called into this bar with my family for the football final. Was told on entrance it’s a “mixed bar/public house” When England came on the tv they actually turned off the sound for the national anthem which is sick. So I sang it at my table and got told off? Also when England scored we got told to “pipe down” yet when Spain scored not a word was mentioned. The wee boy who worked behind the bar was an absolute sour bake. When ordering drinks he gave so much attitude I actually had to report him. The one bar tender was lovely, chatted away all night. But as for the rest of the staff there still living in the 70s Definatley not a mixed bar and 90% of the staff need an attitude check. It’s football get over it Guiness was decent tho Won’t be back

Delicious and faultless as always. Never had anything other than positive experiences here. Staff are always professional and food is always very tasty. Well worth a visit.

My family and I arrived at this cafe just after 2pm on a Monday. There were no menus apart from one on the wall behind the till, which for a place with two long rooms to sit was rather inconvenient. We were informed that they no longer served breakfast which reduced our options by half. I ordered a club sandwich which came with cold, processed chicken and a ton of mayo. They refused to serve us bacon on toast for our little one although my sandwich contained those ingendients. There was no kids menu. I also ordered a piece of lemon meringue which was truly old. Apart from the friendly staff this was a disappointing experience.
