In the month of May I have been twice with my father and once with a friend to Maxemoo. It is a delightful spot with real farm charm. The owner, Heather, provides a warm smiley welcome. The food is delicious. There is a large imaginatively designed open air seating area at the rear to relax in. A few minutes walk from the wonderful Millisle beach. Highly recommended - give it a try!

Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere, but the staff were amazing!! Nothing was too much trouble no matter who it was they all had time for a chat and always kept the logs topped up on the lovely fire and checked in with us to make sure everything was ok! Will most definitely be back ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor and the music playlist was right up my street. Unfortunately I just wanted a bog standard breakfast although presentation was lovely and you can't go wrong with Waffles and bacon it's was delicious bar the fancy salad smothered on the plate. My mum got the cheese burger and was spicy which was not specified so Unfortunately my mum did not enjoy it. Not bad pricing if your into that sorta style. Just not for us.

Went here this mrn for late breakfast. Cldnt believe how busy it was. Quirky place with a modern twist. Food was lovely and very tasty. Good service and friendly staff. Most breakfast average on £9. Will definitely return.

My wife and I called in on a decidedly blustery, rainy day. Perfect day for a hot bowl of soup. The friendly staff recommended the lentil and bacon soup. We both chose it and opted for the granary bread accompaniment. We were not disappointed. Far from it. It was equally delightful in taste as well as texture. I would heartily recommend the establishment. The next time you look out your window on a rainy and windy day - plenty to choose from in Northern Ireland!- put your coat on, venture out, and seek out the soup of the day in Maud's in Newtownards.

They serve really good Milk Shakes. Their ice creams are good too. During better weather you can sit outside and enjoy your purchases.

The small shop on the waterfront serves a variety of ice creams and on a hot day it was busy. They serve Mullins Ice Creams which come in many delicious flavours. We chose honercomb. Now that's ice cream!

Visited for lunch with my mother. Very disappointed overall tbh, especially after seeing all the positive comments on social media. The first impression walking in was the acrid burnt oil cooking fumes and we left with that smell on our clothes, not pleasant. Was there a problem in the kitchen? We got a table quickly enough and had our order taken soon after, bit surprised having to pay upfront, and it was obvious the guy was under a bit of pressure - we were asked several times was it beans or mushrooms with the fry. The pot of tea came within 10 minutes but its unacceptable that it took a further 20+ minutes for the food to arrive, and guess what - no mushrooms! I went to the counter to ask for them but they never did appear unfortunately. To be fair my club sandwich was good but the fry was very greasy and whatever oil it was fried in doesnt taste great. I don't think we will be back, we visit Donaghadee quite often but will be eating elsewhere.
