The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Ards South Eastern NI

In the month of May I have been twice with my father and once with a friend to Maxemoo. It is a delightful spot with real farm charm. The owner, Heather, provides a warm smiley welcome. The food is delicious. There is a large imaginatively designed open air seating area at the rear to relax in. A few minutes walk from the wonderful Millisle beach. Highly recommended - give it a try!

We visited at lunchtime to celebrate SEAG results. Although it was just the two of us, there were many groups waiting despite numerous empty tables visible in the restaurant. No one approached anyone in the queue during the 15 minutes we stood there. Eventually, a staff member came over and said, “Your table is available, but I need to clear and clean it, and I’m busy currently,” before returning to work on other tables. This gave the impression the restaurant may have been understaffed. Once seated, it took a long time for our order to be taken. When the waitress finally brought the menu, she stood over me, waiting for my order, rather than allowing me a moment to decide. That said, the food arrived promptly and was fresh, warm, and very tasty—absolutely no complaints there. However, the service left much to be desired. It seems additional staff may be needed, and current staff could benefit from further customer service training to ensure guests feel properly attended to. While the food was excellent, the overall experience could be greatly improved with better organisation and attentiveness.

A busy little cafe with a great menu and excellent service.

Great food, busy so there was a wait. 2 adults, 2 kids had lovely lunch. Half our family are gluten free so options available here made it great for us. Would be happy to return.

Cosy place for food and drinks in the Comber area, they had sports on the TV and there's an upstairs for events

Took my little girl to the bathroom and saw a member of wait staff use the bathroom and leave without washing her hands. Food was fine but I am now concerned about hygiene standards.

Such a lovely cafe, excellent breakfast really tasty and arrived quickly after ordering. Really kind and helpful staff were able to find us a table with space for a pram on a busy Saturday morning. Big thank you to Sugarcane!

We fortunately got the last 2 Christmas sandwiches. Absolutely beautiful with superb quality ingredients and presentation.Topped off with a proper cappuccino in a mug.Thank you to the owners for a terrific lunch.Merry Christmas.,Alan and Andrea

Went here this mrn for late breakfast. Cldnt believe how busy it was. Quirky place with a modern twist. Food was lovely and very tasty. Good service and friendly staff. Most breakfast average on £9. Will definitely return.

First visit for dinner at the Whitehouse Inn and LOVED everything. We’d Crab claws, Scallops & Brie for starters, looked so good we didn’t stop for photos. Mains Seabass in white wine & prawn sauce, Surf & turf, a huge Sirloin steak with a full portion of Portavogie garlic prawns on top plus the chips, mushroom, tomato, onion rings & peppered sauce both where exceptional 😋 Followed with delicious deserts. Highly recommend this restaurant to all

Ice cream always great in Mauds but very strange to have stopped selling milkshakes and coffees more than half an hour before closing!

They serve really good Milk Shakes. Their ice creams are good too. During better weather you can sit outside and enjoy your purchases.

The small shop on the waterfront serves a variety of ice creams and on a hot day it was busy. They serve Mullins Ice Creams which come in many delicious flavours. We chose honercomb. Now that's ice cream!

Such a great place to be in and look at, unfortunately couldn’t get someone to take our order. After 15 mins went to the bar to ask if there was anyone taking orders. It was breakfast, when they did, the food was awesome, but the service was shocking for the establishment. Terrible.

Called in with the grandkids, excellent service,the staff very friendly,I had a delicious latte,we all had toasties which were packed and really tasty,then yummy buns after,felt very relaxed with the young ones as plenty of space,and the decor is superb,very interesting,artifacts and pictures from local history ,will definitely return.
