Food is good I like their breakfast lunch wasn’t great when I went and the prices are a little more expensive. Staff are lovely especially the owner.

Gorgeous cafe, so bright and contemporary. Their breakfast fry is delicious...perfectly cooked. I always get a flat white coffee, absolutely perfect. I had the Rueben toasted sandwhich today, it was fab. Staff always great

Kids pancakes and brownie went down a treat, the fresh fruit was a great bonus too. Service was friendly and server engaged well with the kids. Not the first time I’ve enjoyed coffee and food from this coffee shop and will return when back in Comber and in need of a café.

First time in here,food was beautiful, definitely be back, very friendly staff, great atmosphere,⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, one of my go to place now!!!

I bought a sandwich but wasn’t very happy about the taste & quality. I opened it and there was a lack of ingredients in it. A very small amount of cheese, red onion & sauce. To be honest the Tesco meal deal wraps taste better and are approximately half the price. I did try this cafe before, but thought I’d try again. But twice disappointed now.

Come here often since I moved to the area, and really enjoy everything about this wee business. Local produce good well, service always very friendly. Very simple product done very well…. Keep it up!!!

Fish goujons were great, some of the tables need to be refreshed.

A warm welcome with fast service. One of the best frys I ever had. The quality of the produce was excellent and you could really taste the difference, not the usual cheap and cheerful. Great experience, well worth a visit.

Wonderful fresh food, you will roll out of the place if you can squeeze it all in! Lovely tray bakes too. So well worth the stop in comber!

Service was great, atmosphere was great, although it did feel a little cramped, had to talk loudly to be heard. Just my personal opinion, if you're a business & busy you wouldn't be complaining. The food pricing was fair for what you received. However my dish of salad, potato, poached egg, nuts, & some sort of cheese, wasn't that nice. Can't remember the name of it but it began with a p, (pryanne)? Something. Apart from that it's 4 stars from me. Cheers

From we went through the door we were greeted with a happy smile and offered our table. Our meal was delicious and served quickly. All the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. I will definitely be back and telling all my friends about my great experience, thankyou.

You will struggle to find a nicer place. Coffee and food are fantastic and the service is impeccable.

Today we visited the cafe, there was one member of staff who instantly took issue with us, dirty looks and an attitude. We sat down and ordered a flat white and a piece of chocolate cake. After seeing the cake on the counter, cut into lovely big slices I chose it instead of a tray bake with fresh cream… My friends also chose two flat whites and two custard tarts. Which turned out to be soggy sadly. The coffee was some of the worst coffee we have come across, needless to say it wasn’t drank, and my cake was a sad and sorry half a slice crumbled up on a plate with some cheap whippy cream on the side. (See photo) No one asked was everything ok, one member of staff was cleaning (which is to be expected in a busy cafe) whilst the other stood glaring at us making me feel very uncomfortable, Very strange behaviour. When we went to pay £9.95 for a flat white and the slice of cake. Absolutely crazy money. Sadly we won’t be back.

Lovely welcome. Nice atmosphere. Very clean. I had the vegan sourdough sandwich, this was delicious and came with salad and a wee pot of french fries. The sandwich was avocado mushrooms and vegan cheese... Very tasty. Family members ordered fry ups and scones. Everyone was pleased with their meals.

My work colleagues and I stopped in here for our breakfast one Friday, and it did not disappoint..... the sausage was unreal! Undoubtedly, the star of the show. Great clean, non greasy breakfast, and the service was second to none! Definitely give it a shout, you will not be sorry.👌👌👌

Great food, fast and friendly service and our waitress went the extra mile for us by clearing a table near the window so we could have a nice view over the square. We enjoyed a bacon, brie and cranberry panini and a pastrami, pickle and cheese toastie which was delicious!

We had the early bird offer on a Thursday night and really enjoyed the delicious food. We had a starter of squid which was a big portion and salmon and chicken for mains. Presentation and taste could not be faulted. Definitely worth giving it a try. Staff were very friendly.

Visited here for the first time today and ordered breakfast items. I could tell the meat was of top notch quality, all really thick and tasted so fresh. Staff were lovely and service was really quick. Think I have found my new go to place to eat out now! Will be back and I highly recommend to others! Thankyou!

I had just had my wisdom tooth removed, and chose a softer menu option. The waitress was so emphatic and made my latte cooler, served with a straw. Thank you so much.

Had 2 coffee, very nice. But when presented with the bill, the waitress said how much of a tip, it was automatic on the handset. Don't like that, Won't be back.

Such a lovely place! The food is really good, we have went many Sundays for breakfast and even if you don’t have a reservation they will try their best to fit you in.

Food was tasty but a bit too salty. Expensive for lunch, so will probably go elsewhere for lunch. However, evening menu looks to be better value so will probably give that a go.

went here as we heard good things, it was lovely inside but the waitress got my order wrong, and one of my friends melts had a singular slice of chicken and a squirt of sauce all for £9.50, you could of got a better sandwich in a tesco meal deal. The chips were £2.50 extra and we’re basically skinny oven chips and u got a handful. Shocking prices and awful portions.

It was nearly closing time so the cafe was almost empty. Coffee and traybake nice and because I was the only one there service was great.

Excellent from start to finish. An early start out on the road and arrived to the cafe absolutely famished! Asked the staff member to recommend something tasty and filling, it was that and more!! So friendly and welcoming, I'll definitely be back.

Not having been to Sugarcane for sometime my wife and myself have returned to find a very refreshing atmosphere and the Staff doing such a very welcoming job making our visits there very special. The food is excellent and well presented.

8 of us visited here for a post parkrun breakfast. We hadn't booked and cafe was busy but manager was extremely helpful and let us wait out of the rain until tables became available. Great breakfast served and excellent service. Would definitely go back.

Just had an Irish breakfast at the sugar cane and it was probably the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Could not fault it and the staff were lovely and friendly. Highly recommend! ☺️

Good experience. The staff on Saturday @ 9:10am bubbly and welcoming 3 friends got "mini Ulster" all would highly recommend. Porridge for me again I would highly recommend. Started tto fill up as morning progressed with cyclists families and friendship groups all of which created a great atmosphere.

My hubby & I came across Sugarcane Bistro yesterday on the hottest day ever in N.I!! Had been planning to visit another coffee shop but it was closed. What a wonderful find Sugarcane Bistro was. We arrived around 11am & had from the breakfast menu. (Breakfast until 12MD). Sugarcane has wonderful friendly staff, excellent service, delicious food & excellent coffee. Will be definitely be back to try the lunch menu! 10/10 Sugarcane Bistro!!!

We love the SugarCane Bristro! The atmosphere is soothing, the coffee is fabulous and the bites are delicious! My only suggestion is to add oat milk to your milk options.

Called in for a fry, Under Covid had to be a takeaway. Must say it was tasty, soda was a bit blackened. For a large fry and tea was £10.40 bit more expensive that the usual all ingredients were freshly cooked and would guess sourced. Would call back.

A local bistro with a family feel and great food. The menu covers everything as a meat lover myself and vegetarian wife you will ever be stuck for whats on the menu with plenty of specials on for good measure !Food is always fantastic, service is friendly and attentive with a price for a meal to match. The have beers on draft and also a great variety of craft bottled beers available as well as wine.Great to call in and grab a takeaway coffee as well and a cheeky tray bake if out for a walk, cycle or just passing through the beautiful town of Comber and sit in the square just opposite and watch the world go by.Highly recommend and have been visiting it weekly for years !

Visited last Friday lunchtime and got 2 BLTs to go as well as some traybakes . BLTS were amazing, the bacon was such good quality and bread so fresh. Traybakes were scoffed in no time. Really good value and high quality food.The 2 girls working were so warm and welcoming. Will definitely be back and will try the takeaway for evening meal next, the Christmas pizza looks so tempting!!

In these difficult times this family run business continue to provide for their customers awesome food with a smile. Our last meal was a lovely cooked breakfast at home. Really looking forward to eating in when we are allowed to do so! Thank you for all your support for the other independent businesses in the town!

Love this place, food is always excellent, this time as its lockdown we thought we would get a takeaway, I got the the christmas pizza and chips, well my partner and I shared the pizza, it was so scrummy,even living in the next town over the food was still warm, will be ordering again from there, hopefully quite soon to

Excellent little bistro with engaging staff. Called in with no booking on out tour of Northern Ireland. Nice to see they take great Covid measures but let’s get to the food. There’s definitely something for everyone but I tried the local Scampi. It’s was whole tail scampi and was served with what I’m told were chips that’s are made from potatoes that are grown a few miles away. I washed it down with a local ale. I like trying out local produce and there’s seemed to be plenty of it. To finish I had a lovely lemon tart and a doubled espresso which has a most beautiful crema.All the staff were happy and smiling and nothing was a problem to them.

Cycled from Belfast en route to Portaferry. Stopped here for breakfast in this little market town. Cafe on the square adjoining neat gardens.Busy which is a good sign and a nice menu selection. I chose the mini breakfast which was plenty. Made with local butcher's sausage and black pudding served with proper leaf tea. Very well priced and excellent quality. My two co travellers enjoyed it as well.

We had lunch in this bistro on Wednesday after doing the Comber greenway walk from Belfast. I had the vegetarian risotto which was lovely and my husband had a vegetarian pizza which was also nice. This place also serves beer and wine. Reasonably priced and good food. Would return.

Excellent place i dropped in for coffee and scone one day took a peep at their menu and came back a week later for a fry with a friend. Very clean staff doing wipe down of tables and chairs after each sitting.

I visited Sugarcane on Thursday morning for breakfast with my partner. The service great, very quick in getting us seated and placing our orders. Tea & Coffee was with us in only a few mins and the food was out in around 10mins. I had a fry which was delicious, lots of locally sourced items and great to see that the fry wasn't swimming in oil. My partner had Scrambled Eggs, Salmon & Toast which she loved. Highly reccomend and can't wait to return for dinner!

This is my go-to for breakfast and coffee stop if I am in Comber as food is delicious! The breakfast is amazing and the scones and tray bakes are always gorgeous and a little bit different from the norm. They always use local produce and the staff are very friendly. So we went for dinner and it was fantastic. Our group had chicken wings, pate, beef daube, scampi and the salt and chilli chicken strips, and everything was superb. The only disappointment was we all ate so much we couldn't try the desserts! Guess we'll have to go back!

Went for a meal with friends on Saturday night, place was really busy with a nice atmosphere.Food was excellent, even our picky friend was able to choose 3 courses and said it was the best meal she'd had in a long time. Lovely wine complimented the food and staff were very friendly and attentive.We will definitely be back to try breakfast next time

Beautiful clean cafe with friendly efficient staff. Food was delicious, the chicken stack in particular is one of my favourites. Always busy which is a great sign, and has a great atmosphere.

The best cooked breakfast I've had! They take pride in using local ingredients and the quality of the food is high. Great selection of options for breakfast and lunch. I haven't been for dinner. They have high chairs, colouring pages for children and baby changing facilities.

My husband had a large bowl of mussels and I had a Dexter beef burger with chips. We both really enjoyed the meal and there was plenty to enjoy! Pleasant and quick service.

Called in for a late breakfast with kids to warm up after cold morning at sport. Kids pancakes and porridge was perfect choice for them and breakfast baps for the grown ups. Very tasty.Would've gave a 5 but once food ordered it took a long while for it to reach us.

My husband and I frequent Sugarcane a lot because of the fantasic food and friendliness of the staff. Their Wed and Thurs Mussels and burgers are brilliant value and also delicious.

Attended with my family. Previously have enjoyed breakfast and lunch here. Thought service was fine but meal very average. I had squid for starter I have definitely had much better elsewhere. The chicken stack for main was very very disappointing too many uncooked onions, tasteless Mash and tough chicken. Overall very disappointed this place seems to have gone down hill since my lady visit which is a shame.

Went to Sugarcane today for our last Saturday breakfast of 2019 and the food was lovely and up to the normal great service. Even thought they were very busy both staff and owner made sure they took the time to speak to us and check all was ok. Pleased to say after the issues we have had with other restaurant over Christmas period it was such a delight to have a lovely hassle free breakfast. Thank you

Went to Sugarcane for a three course Christmas lunch with coffee included. Very good value and a very nice meal. Only down side I thought was that tables were a little cramped but the food was great.

Popped in today (Sunday) for a late lunch with partner when passing through Comber (nowhere else open?!)

Organised a table for 4 via email, (super quick responses) food was wonderful I can definitely recommend the scampi, we had some wine which was great too. The strawberry cheesecake was amazing and the fact so many things are gluten free was great. Thank you for a lovely lunch we will definitely be back

Went in for breakfast with a business contact but very busy with tables packed closely together. All felt a bit rushed and people hovering to get my table. Left and went to 14 The Georgian House instead and what a difference. Best cappuccino I've had in NI.

My Girlfriend and I come here pretty often, we always receive a warm welcome at the door and normally have our own wee table. One of the waitresses Emma is remarkably lovely, always remembers details of our orders and makes our visits to the bistro feel a little more special. In regards to the food you have to try it to understand just how good it is, from the simple things like ham and cheese Paninis to the variety of traditional Pizzas or the creative specials, there are plenty of options to choose from and each comes served with a smile. Whether you're going in for a coffee date, a bite of lunch or a nice dinner, the sugarcane cafe/bistro never disappoints.

Took my mum here on a whim for dinner. The menu had a great selection, perhaps a little too much, made it very difficult to decide. To be honest everything sounded great. Early bird very good value for money.

Went to the Sucarcane for a spot of lunch and was warmly greeted at the door by what seemed to be the owner. The café had a large menu and all looked so good. When the food arrived it was hot, big portions! Food was amazing! Would definitely be heading back!

I brought my daughter here during the week for lunch. It’s our favorite place to eat. The food is beautiful especially the desserts . The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are friendly. It’s always the first place I recommend when someone asks me where’s the best place to eat !! The donuts are to die for by the way!!!

I was over visiting family in Bangor and i went for a drive around the Ards peninsula stopping in Comber for lunch. We decided to try this place as we noticed all the plaques and awards outside on their wall. All i can say is I wish there was somewhere like Sugarcane near me back in Scotland. I was greeted by a smiling waitress and shown quickly to a table. The menu was extensive but there appeared to be lots of locally sourced produce on offer. I decided on 2 courses and had a wonderful garlic and chilli prawn starter served on the best ever sourdough. You could tell it was proper sourdough and not just any shop bought one. The prawns were big and wonderfully cooked and the butter with garlic and chilli was divine. Not too hot but just the right amount of heat from the chillis. For my next course I opted for one of the special which was a sizzling beef dish served with rice. The skillet came out and sizzling beef it was. It was really tender beef and obviously a decent cut too. Again the portion was great and the price a lot less than i'd be paying back at home. If i'm ever back again i'll be sure to call in again. It was probably the best meal I had on my trip across.

Went for lunch and wasn’t impressed by their overpriced menu. Food was no better than cafe near by. This is my second visit and not worthy of their awards. Very disappointing!

Went here for lunch with family when we were seated we weren't even told what the soup of the day was we then waited 45 mins for our lunch while waiting we observed 2 tables of people that came in 15-20 mins after us 1 table was served before us the other at the same time to make matters worse our food did not come out together as one of us had to wait a further 5 mins.i ordered a panini and the filling was non existent and the chips was cold.Never again.

First time here and it was really nice although very casual cafe style restaurant especially at the time I was there 4.30 - 6.30.

Despite living within walking distance, I haven’t been here in ages but I’ll definitely be back soon! Visited on a whim as I had a family member visiting me. We hadn’t booked and it was really busy but the staff went to great effort to fit us in. We were just in time for the early bird menu and thought it was really good value. Food was delicious and came really quickly - lots of good quality locally sourced ingredients. There’s a vegan menu as well as vegetarian options. Staff were really helpful and attentive. Highly recommend!

Love this Bistro except cant make a flat white

Visited here for the early bird menu on a Sunday with my partner and we were both very impressed. Had the mushroom soup which was a special that day but I would really recommend it if its on again! The staff were pleasant and helpful too.
