We popped in twice once for a coffee then after looking at the menu came back for lunch the menu is small but the quality is amazing. The staff were lovely and helpful. Already planning on going back. Just wish it was close to home so we could visit more often. Whilst we were there a constant stream of people came in looking for a table it it’s only small so I reccomend you book. The owners are Italian and it was so nice to hear them and the customers speaking. Took me back to my last holiday.

We visited the restaurant mid week. It is a small joint as others say, with tables crammed in. The team are also very slick so our turn around was barely over an hour, which is disappointing when you’re spending £100+. That said the food was stunning. I never order steak out as most places cannot serve it well but seeing bavette on the menu (which is what I cook at home) I went for it. It was AMAZING! Great food 🤩

I've been visiting the Blacksmith's Arms for several years and it never fails to impress. The tiny bar is great for meeting and chatting to people, from visitors to the lovely local clientele. And the food is amazing – Michael and his lovely team are cooking to such a high standard that you are spoilt for choices and the prices are very reasonable too (both food and drinks). The inn itself is packed with period charm, including roaring ranges and open fires, old slate flooring and low beams (watch your head when you go in!). And the location, just outside the beautiful village of Broughton in Furness in the Duddon Valley, is breathtaking. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The Hive is absolutely adorable. Best cafe I've ever been to. We visited for lunch as part of our holiday in The Cotswolds. From start to finish it went beyond our expectations. We were warmly welcomed in by the owner. What a lovely lady!! We had the homemade soup of pea, courgette and lettuce with a homebaked cheese scone. Absolutely delicious!!! Seems strange to have soup in August but it was just what we needed. The cheese scone was divine!! Had a really lovely latte and my husband had tea. The decor was really welcoming and comforting too. All the staff were very attentive and helpful and it was very evident how well it was being managed by the owner. Definitely a must if you want some lunch in Stow on The Wold.

I have wanted to come here for ages. I moved to Guildford about a year ago. Savoury pancakes are my favourite and so hard to find. This was one of the best pancakes I have ever had. My son ordered a hot chocolate and also said it was the best ever. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Very reasonably priced and so nice to eat and drink somewhere that felt so genuine and warm - hard to find these days! Thank you! (I also never leave reviews for places - but I felt they totally deserved one!)
