We had my Brother in Law over from the states this week and his partner had seen this restaurant on Tick-tock. Very glad she did. We had a great experience here, the food and service were truly great. The place was full to bursting on a Tuesday night which speaks volumes in itself. The service was amazing, our waiter was always checking in that everything was good but not intrusive at all. We had three starters between four of us, the croquettes, hulomi fries and the Chorizo and prawn dish, all were very good, the prawn and chorizo was scrumptious. We followed this with the big meat platter, piled high, cooked to perfection and loads to eat. The only reason I have rated the atmosphere a little lower is that we were seated in a small back area by the kitchen and consequently it felt a little less vibrant than the front of house. This did not change our view that we will be coming back.

This restaurant is awesome, if you can sit in the front and don't have to order delivery, but if you can't, the likelihood is you won't have the same experience and with delivery the restaurant will either not be available or even if it is, your order will be cancelled within 40mins when it gets too busy despite scheduled delivery. We love this restaurant and love it to be local, but we have been let down too many times now to order again, hence the missing star

We go here fairly regularly, and the food and service is always exceptional. This is a place where everything on your plate and in your glass has been thought of carefully to make it as tasty as possible. They take care of people too - most recently I spent my 40th here and the whole team made it really special. I’m looking forwards to many more visits, and I can’t recommend Streatham Kitchen highly enough! Thanks a lot!

We had a great evening with awesome food and great service, I recommend to book a table it can get busy... The service is great we had Jack and Monica looking after us , thank you guys I really appreciate it. We choose a table at the back, it felt like a private room we absolutely loved it 😊. The restaurant decor ,the music and design all come together and compliment the dining experience.

This review is months overdue, but I had an excellent time at Streatham Kitchen. I ordered their bavette steak medium and it was absolutely exquisite. Cooked exactly as I requested and the meat was perfectly tender and intensely flavourful. It came with fries & corn which I thoroughly enjoyed, and I finished off the meal with their excellent brownie & ice cream. Highly recommend a visit to this great restaurant!

Excellent food and great service too.

I am confused as there are lots of 5 star reviews. We paid paid 130 pounds and barely got anything. The platter says 2 to 3 people !! 1 portion of chips between us?? Which is a small size for one person. 1 steak, 1 sausage, 1 black pudding, and a small bit of chicken. And 3 lamb chops Tasted OK. Very disappointed. You can dress it up as nice as you like but that is bad value for money. Edit: I see you have responded by saying you served us 2kg of meat Which is clearly a lie, looking at the picture i have attached. Obviously not 2 kgs of meat.

Huge portions. The scallops and the chicken burger were good. The service was attentive and friendly. I liked the decor.

Ok I’ll start off by saying I do feel a bit bad writing this, as the food quality was exceptional and the staff were lovely, and they allowed my dog in too, ….but unfortunately we left feeling ripped off and hungry. First off, don’t advertise a “sharing platter for 2/3 people” when you’re providing one basket of chips and a couple of different type of tiny sausages … which I had to cut up in to three measly slices for all of us, like a mother to a baby … The friendly waiter said the chips is “at least for two people”….brother you literally get that same basket of chips with a meal anywhere you go. There’s three of us here…. I mean I get it , overheads are through the roof these days, electric bill and rates sky high, ain’t easy, but how much does it cost to provide a couple extra sausages and chips ?? Logically speaking as well surely if you see there’s three men … a sausage for each, no? Not asking for much? So that platter was £75 ,that is 25 quid a head, and for that you got less meat than you would buying a single mains somewhere in Chelsea or Kensington. And that’s other thing , we are not talking fancy location, this is, let’s be honest, a sh*t hole part of town, and I’m saying that as a local. They’re clearly getting enough custom because of their high rating - which is why I came too. But I think given the prices, the rating is too high. Hence my review. Shame cos like I say, lovely people , lovely food, just ref ugee camp-sized portions. …we all got home and had to go on Uber Eats… Edit: Have shared my thoughts with friends and it appears that I’ve probably been a bit too nice about it… that was not 80 quids worth of meat in any universe..royally shafted! And I’ve seen other pictures of platters and they are far bigger. Have they only recently reduced the size ? Or were they low on meat that evening and we got unlucky ? They did they simply not like or trust us? Would love an answer.

Food was excellent, having two children with us we weren’t offered a children’s menu until the adults wanted to order! Also asked for table water several times but it never arrived, staff weren’t attentive and we had to ask for more drinks and for plates etc to be cleared. It’s not a cheap place but the food was excellent, suckling pig was amazing. But service in general was lacking.. having said this I would still got back as it was our first visit, to see if this was the norm..

Make sure you're hungry as you are in for a feast at this wonderful but unassuming London treasure. It's 3 milk pudding is AMAZING.

My birthday meal was such an amazing time from starter, main and dessert. Because we enjoyed some of dishes so much we ordered more. Every dish was flavoursome and the presentation with perfection. The squid was the star of the show - never tasted squid SO tender, and full flavour. I was amazed, but not only the taste but how it was presented on the plate. Could tell the chef consider every detail. Highly recommend the dessert too I was blown away how well is complemented the food. Lasty, our waiter was awesome. He was attentive and friendly and gave us recommendations - we couldn't fault the service. 5/5 stars!! Highly recommend making the trip you won't regret it.

Amazing food, service, atmosphere and patience as our family started the night complaining that they wanted to go somewhere else but thankful we stayed and ate at Streatham Kitchen. Sweet potato chips, king prawns, salad and steaks were excellent.

This is the best meal we’ve had in London and maybe one of the best meals of my life. Everything in the plate was exceptional even the corn which I don’t normally like. The meat was absolutely sensational I cannot wait to come back.

Got the meat platter for 2, definitely shareable between 3 (which would be even better value than it already is!) Everything on the platter was delicious. Wine was good and the tres leche to finish was divine! Service could've been slightly better but would still highly recommend this place. Will be back for the seafood platter

I could write a 2 page review but..just trust me on this, just go and ask the for the meat platter (i think thats whats called)..i actually wanna go back and try the rest of the menu and i almost never wanna go back to the same place..the mojitos were also some of the top 3 best mojitos i ever had..Jack and the owner (so sorry, i forgot your name) were awesome and they deserve all the success coming their way..just trust me on this, you need to go

A fantastic restaurant. The food was really delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked. All served with sauces, dips, salad, vegetables and chips. Everything you could possibly want. The dessert which was a lovely end to the meal was also great. Recommend the leche dessert - it was something new for us and delicious! The staff were really helpful and welcoming; the staff did everything they could to give us a great experience. The platters are generous! Everyone ate very well! We had a great time.

We preordered the suckling pig and it was the best I've ever had: crispy skin, tender meat, beautiful gravy and potatoes. We couldn't finish it and it was still good the next day.

Honestly the best steak I have ever had in the UK. It was unreal and unmatched. Salted to perfection and the sausages were insane too. I have thought about that every day of the week since 🤤

We help our Supper Club at Streatham Kitchen last Sunday and we pre-ordered the Suckling Pig for the group. We had some calamari, halloumi and the cerviche for starters, to accompany the pig we had the bavette steak and the pulled pork with stewed beans which was delicious. The show and presentation of the meals were top notch and we thoroughly stuffed ourselves. If you are looking for a little bit of theatre with the pig then this is the place, they also have other meat and seafood platters. A beer and bottle of wine set the meal perfectly.

The best dinner you can buy in Streatham. Small, perfectly executed menu. Generous portions and friendly efficient service. Wine list is small and unremarkable, but the food more than makes up for this deficit. Not many tables, so booking is probably essential.

Can easily rival the best in Central London. The location is less than ideal, but the food more than makes up for it. The chef is a culinary master. Every dish was excellent. Generous portions so come hungry. Was busy on a Tuesday so book ahead. Service was friendly and considerate. Hope to see this restaurant proliferate to new restaurant branches. Can’t imagine how good the burgers are and look forward to coming back.

One of the best places to get some killer meat and seafood. The meat platter we ordered was massive but incredibly delicious, the meat was perfectly cooked, some of the best sausages we’ve eaten and the sides were certainly not an after thought. Service was really warm and prompt and the a lovely cozy atmosphere! 10/10

Friendly efficient service, staggeringly good food. Just a great experience. Portions are large so make sure you turn up hungry, you won't want to leave anything on the table. Every bite was sublime. Can't wait to go back.

Honestly, I do not have the words to describe how great this place was. It's SO GOOD. It's easily the best place I've ever eaten at. And yes, I'm aware that is obviously limited to the places I've eaten at but I promise I've eaten at good places. ANYWAY, RAMBLING. It's amazing and the seafood platter is a super recommend and it's just so good. Go! Go today! And if you get a doggy bag, let me know - I'd be very happy to have ANY leftovers. I'm not proud. Also, I did get trapped in the toilet for a while but it turned out I just wasn't sophisticated enough to be familiar with the machinations of a folding door. WAIT, also get the squid. That was superb. Oh man, I wish I was there right now.

Sweet very helpful staff who went above and beyond for our birthday lunch of 5 ladies today. Barbie, Monica and Jack were all wonderful. Food was absolutely delicious and fantastic and with very generous portions! Thank you. All amazing and a lovely fun atmosphere and cosy. I left my rare vintage embroidered gloves and Barbie ran outside on the street to come and find me and repatriate them back to me. I was touched. It was cute that they brought a small birthday cake and candle too! Highly recommend. Will go there next time I want to take a chum and have a healthy and yummy pig-out. 😀 Thank you! Came here for a small birthday meal on a recommendation, just 4 of us firstly I was expecting a much larger restaurant but it was nice and cosy not cramped cosy though which was good. The staff were lovely attentive but not to intrusive. Now the food... OMG phenomenal really up with some of the best grub I've had! Prawn and Chorizo and Scallops for start were incredible! We had 2 meat platters for main with the sides and again amazing! Cocktails menu bit small but we did try them all so probably a good thing 🤣 but all nice! Spicy Margs and the Kraken Mojito win.... Anyway we live the other side of town 1hr 45 to travel across town same back and it was 100% worth it ..and we'll do it again!

Food really good, however found the main waiter fairly abrupt/rude and he messed up our starters.

Fantastic Venezuelan tinged meat restaurant. We ordered chicken tenders, bavette steak & and Pabellon Criollo (pulled pork, black beans, rice, fried egg, plantain & avocado). Everything was high quality, hearty with bold flavours seasoned perfectly. Well worth a trip south, but book ahead to get a space!

Very good place, delicious food and staff very welcome.

Booked and paid a deposit nearly 2 months ago for a table of 4. Not from London so also booked a train and the underground. I then received a call advising there has been a mix up and there was a wedding booked for thar day, the issue was only one person knew about the wedding working in the restaurant. I then asked for an email address and have been fob off twice, first time told it was on the website, second time giving a phoney address. Now i have 4 days to find another restaurant, also i haven’t received a refund yet. Terrible service

Went with three friends having seen Streatham Kitchen on insta and it didn’t disappoint! We got some starters and the sharing platters and they were generous, delicious and perfectly cooked. All round a great evening and would recommend.

Whe had a blast! Was looking for a place to have a normal Sunday meal, and suddenly, we found this amazing, cosy restaurant (BTW with a spectacular wine list) that we just feel in love. It's my favourite place to eat in Streatham now and definitely will be a regular. Thank you for having us. We really appreciate it even without reservation 🫠🫠.

Wow wow wow.. worth the hype in EVERYWAY. Got turned away as a walk in so of cuurse it made me even more curious, so I made a reservation for 2 weeks after. It did not disappoint. Everything was perfect and I never say that. So reserve your table in advance and make sure you visit for a filling and satisfying meal in a beautiful cozy restaurant.

Incredible restaurant, truly a hidden gem, amazing quality food, towering portions, impeccable service.

We ordered the meat platter and it was delicious, the couple next to us had the seafood platter that looked amazing so next time we will be ordering the seafood platter. The dining experience was intimate, calm and warm. We would truly recommend people to visit this hidden gem of a restaurant. You do need to book in advance as all the tables were booked up, there were a few walk ins and they were turned away as all the tables were reserved. It is definitely worth your while to visit this restaurant.

Absolutely divine dining worthy beyond Michelin kitchens. Delicate yet robust, familiar flavours found in Cantonese cuisine with asado as its soul, all of South America as its heart. Helmed by Ka Hou Yeung Fernandez and his amazing team in the kitchen, I want to keep coming back for more of the signature dishes. Please oh please have them remain as specials. This place makes life worth eating for. PS thank you for taking care of us 10 happy diners well.

Fully deserving of its positive reviews. First time here, and I hope to come back again soon. Amazing flavours, extremely well balanced. Quality of produce clearly seen. We were a party of 10 and we were well taken care of. Tried a big variety of platters and starters and cannot fault a single dish - weather meats, fish or even the accompanying salads, potatoes and gravy. I went yesterday with my partner after seeing a post on social media and decided we wanted to give it a go. INCREDIBLE. We knew we wanted to try the seafood platter but would have never expected it to be so good! One of the best seafood I have had in a long time and one of the best meals I’ve had in my 12 years living in London. The place is small and a bit cramped but the service and specially the food are worth it. Would give it 6 stars if I could, everything was cooked to perfection, sauces and garnishes were all delicious and flavours were all different and delicate. Amazing

Food was excellent. Had the meat platter where the steaks were cooked perfectly. My only issue was the lack of service received which after receiving our meal was nonexistent. Anyways will focus on the positive - fantastic meal !

Just had the most amazing lunch here today, the seafood platter. I have never tasted anything as good. So full but had to leave room for the Pavlova and milk pudding😋 The staff are so lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend this little gem.

Oh this place is amazing! My kids said if they could rate it , they would give an infinite rating. The food is beautifully presented and tastes absolutely delicious! We lived in Streatham for over 20 years before moving to South Croydon. We were introduced to Streatham Kitchen on new years eve 2022 by our dear ex neighbour/friend who has been raving about this little gem of a restaurant and what a gem it is. Please visit Instagram to see the quality of food that is served it is every bit as delicious as it looks and have been back 6 times since and we have a table booked for April. Amazing!

We been to Streatham Kitchen a few times in the past year. Every special occasion when we have visitors or friends we book a table and treat ourselves with the incredible staeks, burgers, platters! Their desserts and athmosphere is really kind and welcoming. We highly recommend to everyone to try and taste how a real steak should be! But, if yoi fancy a great seafood platter or a burger is incredible also! Thank you to you all Chef Ka Hou😁

We just walked in and were welcomed although they were fully booked for the night. Glad that they found a way to allow us to dine. The service was good and the food was even better - actually, it was amazing! My husband and I were so happy we tried it. We will be back for sure! Looking forward to trying the Octopus dish and the other delectable dishes in your menu. Thank you and more power.

Keen to visit this restaurant as the reviews are so positive. Tried for a family booking and a Friday lunch with friends but without success. Finally made it with my son for a mid-week dinner. Friendly staff, interesting food and pleasant ambiance. Not many tables so I understand why a family meal for twelve wouldn’t work. We had three starters between the two of us, squid, tuna and scallops. All good. Generous portions! Short wine list and we were recommended the New Zealand white. It was quite palatable. For mains we had the pulled beef dish with avocado, fried egg, rice, plantain and black beans. A mammoth dish that called for a takeaway box! My wife enjoyed it when I returned home. My son had the octopus which delicious and also a very generous portion. Other customers seemed to be in and out during our visit. So fast service possible but we felt very comfortable during our visit. We didn’t get to try desserts as we had over reached ourselves on the other courses.

Best burgers in Streatham, no...London!

One of the best restaurants in London, the service, atmosphere are incredible but the food is simply exquisite. The staff are so accommodating and are extremely knowledgeable about the cuisine they serve. I highly recommend visiting Streatham Kitchen and you should have a reservation as it is always booked up!

This was my second time at this restaurant for my birthday, food was delicious and beautifully cooked! We had octopus which was so good and definitely I’ll be back for more!! The environment is very friendly and chill. Staff are very friendly and they make you feel welcome. Not forgetting about the good bachata that was playing that made my night even more special. I definitely recommend it to my friends!
