The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Yorkshire and The Humber

We recently stopped at Wetherby Drive Thru and were refused service as we had a dog with us. We all know that Costa have recently changed their policies and allow dogs in most coffee shops. Despite sharing the specific branch amenities stating dogs allowed the staff were totally inflexible. Staff should be fully aware of company policies and Costa should update door posters at the same point in time with such changes to avoid ambiguity. Finally staff should not hide behind the fact they are a franchise, branches branded as Costa have identical look and feel and follow same policies otherwise there are inconsistencies which lead to poor customer service and satisfaction.

Beautiful old and historical pub..sob relaxing... gorgeous food and lovely service! We often frequent the pub Asda family and a couple. Thankyou!

Too many people had bought their drinks then just just hung around in the way at the bar. Singer performing was awful.

Dropped on this pub while looking for a Brunch spot ... interesting menu .. my daughter is vegan ... I'm a meat eater ... there was plenty of choice for us both ... she had mixed tapas plates and I had Katsu chicken burger ( I think that's what it was called).... it took a while to arrive but that's fine ...it was clearly freshly prepared and very very tasty Full marks to this pub ... lovely decor ..great music being played ... but ...wow ..a wetherspoons style trek to the ladies ...up and down stairs !!!!! I really enjoyed the food at the Straiton Subway . The philly steak sub was very good with good quality fresh filling . The meatballs in a tomato sauce were also very nice with the melted cheese on top. A big thanks to Emma and Kieran for their fast and friendly customer service making it a great dining experience. Well done .

Decent place to stay, our room wasn't one used in the pics but it was still decent enough, the shower was pretty rubbish mind, would stay again no issues.

Lindsey and the team never disappoint at this lovely country pub. In our opinion this is certainly the best Sunday lunch anywhere in the Ryedale area. We visited again after a few months break over the summer and the standards remain really high and reminded us what we had been missing. In addition to the food the welcome and personality of all the staff is first class. We live a little way away but intend to visit far more regularly in the future.

Bouncer assaults woman Sunday 5th May about 10pm Went for a drink after a meal out on date night (cola as I was driving) Sat outside and heard a scream, looked around and the bouncer was dragging a woman in her 20's by the arms, across the floor, then throwing her bottle of water. She was sat on the floor protesting her inocence when the boncer (with the help of another bouncer) pinned her down and called the police. The bar staff lied for the bouncer. 20 years ago I used to drink down Donny and bouncers ruined many a night with their 10 men attitude and steroid pumped aggression....... 1st time out in Donny since and nothing has changed. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and actions by all staff.

Visited after swimming with the grandchildren. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. One item on kids menu no longer available, should have been crossed out as my granddaughter asked for this then had to rechoose at the counter, holding up the que,staff was patient about this but could have been avoided. Did swop beans for cucumber which was good Discount for members which is good. Food was tasty and hot and good value for money. Place was clean and tidy. Dog friendly in front bit of cafe.
