I go in at least once a week, love the place.

I was on a trip from London to York with my partner. We both got the vegan sausage roll as we are both vegiterian. My partner didn't eat hers I however finished mine. I have had the worst food poising the day after eating this. I am not sure how you give someone food poising from a vegan sausage roll but this place did it!

This pub I'm sure will have been a good local pub at some time but it's been let go. Staff are welcoming enough but the pub is drab and not welcoming. The decor is poorly maintained - what on earth is going on with the bench seating round the snug upholstered in old pairs of jeans??

Good gin. Popped in for 2 drinks with my boyfriend, was cheap and bar staff was friendly. Cute smoking area and friendly customers too.

The delivery woman was sat outside on the phone, eating and chatting, knowing my order was already half an hour late

Crowded staff nice. Order at the bar. Said disabled entrance but had a step. Tables had to ask to clear them. Order was incorrect but quickly resolved when pointed out. Food is nice not too expensive. They need more staff on at high traffic times! With a visit.

Calling all thrill seekers and history buffs. Forget the ghost tours and Yorvik Centre. For a real glimpse of the dim and distant past wait till you savour the medieval aura of the dark ages in York's best kept secret. Take out your mobile phone and be afraid be very afraid. Dare darken the doors with a dirty snivelling child thing? instant decapitation! Fancy a sneer with your pint? you're in the right place my friend. Worth a visit just to see the carry on when some unsuspecting punter gets their phone out!

Disappointing couple of visits recently, poor ambiance, no one seems to be in charge or responsible. High prices should be supported by top service. Very quiet, beautiful place, shame

He estado visitando la Roseta desde que era un niño y vivía en la misma carretera. Nunca tuve una mala visita. Tenía muchas comidas deliciosas aquí también. Esta vez íbamos a comer aquí, pero el ayudante del bar cambió de opinión. Pedí dos cafés para mi marido y para mí. Debido a que la barra delantera estaba un poco ocupada, fuimos a las mesas que se pueden llevar perros, en otra parte. . Fui al bar y le dije a la persona que servía que estábamos a este lado, ya que solo estaban tomando un café al bar delantero. La ira en su cara era horrible, y luego golpearon el café y se fueron. Tan grosero. Estaba tan enojada. Seguimos mirándonos... Así que la persona del bar tuvo que caminar 10 pies más. No íbamos a quedarnos. El café no estaba caliente. El personal era encantador.

First visit after dog walking on beach lovely spot looked nice and clean food was ok but served in bag and takeaway cups not massive issue but the staff jesus there in the wrong game in hospitality you need a smile and a few welcoming words with some pleasantries I gave a reluctant very generous 4 star need to up your game and not just take customers for granted without them you're jobless.

This was our third visit to the Topiary Cafe at Strikes. Previously we had Scones and Coffee which where fine. However, this time, as we where quite hungry we opted to try some thing more substantial. The "Specials" board offered Chef's Quiche of the Day with Salad and Chips for £10.95. However , when we came to order we where amazed to find that in fact it was the Quiche with either Salad "or" Chips. We chose one with Chips and one with Salad with the intent of sharing Chips and Salad from each others plates. We also ordered two Americano Coffees upgraded to Large for an extra 20p. The Food arrived at our chosen table promptly where we both shocked by the miniscule portion size. Although the Cheese and Onion Quiche was tasty the pasty was under cooked with very soggy bottom. The Salad "Leaves" where those fiddly "Chefy" things. The Chips where excellent. The coffee was very good, however, why was one cup only two thirds full. Is the extra 20p upgrade to "Large" for more coffee or just a hot water top-up ?. Total Bill amounted to £28.50 which was "Not" good value, in fact it was poor. Very disappointing.

Esta es mi primera y última visita al nuevo look café. Ni siquiera cualquier menú, lo que para una persona discapacitada no es ideal. Fuimos a las 12. 15 pm, generalmente un momento muy ocupado del día cuando el café está lleno y hemos tenido que hacer cola. ¡El café estaba medio lleno! Deberíamos haberlo sabido. Nada de comidas calientes, simplemente sopa en una taza de papel. 'Slices'. Incluso el agua del grifo estaba en una taza de papel. Pienso en vertederos, pero M&S solo piensa en el dinero ahorrado por no pagar a los cocineros o camareras / camareros. Incluso la tetera de té era una taza de agua caliente con una bolsa de té flotando encima. Obviamente, las personas que tomaron estas decisiones nunca han visitado el café o trabajado allí!
