The Rawson Spring in Sheffield

I know Wetherpoons is what it is but this one takes it to another level. I would rather drink unknown fluids in an oncology unit than sup here again. I had to wait a laughable 20 minutes to be served at the bar only to be told to order on the app and wait another 20. Won't be coming back.

Iv never been insulted so much as I get from this pub the staff are horrible to there customers and when you ask them for there names they tell you to do one it’s the worse pub in Sheffield please people go some where else it’s horrible

Went for a meal went order and had little or no menu items very disappointed 😔😔

The beer quality is good, staff are nice and the pub is very comfortable. I had a mixed grill and thought the chicken dry, and the steak of low quality and overcooked. My wife's Panini was nice she tells me. Visit was marred by a group of students of the top laughing, very loud voices and disgraceful language. Perhaps we're just getting old? Would be appreciated if this behaviour could be discouraged. All in all, with different food and no idiot loudmouths, would have been very enjoyable

What can you say other than it's got good beers/ales and food we all know £8:50 for a pint and a meal, big outdoor area..uto

Absolute dive, drunken pensioner. Spat repeatedly and took staff far to long to deal with.

Its a Wetherspoons Pub, famous for great value beer and grub!. Great service, great staff if you've been in one you've been in them all!

Friendly and clean served quicker than most Wetherspoons

No complaints about venue or food except the food is always on the cold side it needs to be hotter

The manager here is always so attentive and will go above and beyond for service, the atmosphere is nice however as any pub it can get a little loud at times. The food is always on time and satisfactory.

Food is not applicable. Tried a pilsner Angelo Poretti that was on offer at a reduced Monday price. Excellent drink. Always try and drink at Weatherspoons wherever I am. Good value for money.

Met with friends for a late breakfast, popular with the older generation, basic full breakfast, glad I didn't pay more than £5

Went for drinks .. cheap and got busier as the night went on

Only one functional coffee machine and a long queue for it. Not ideal having to leave all my belongings for up to 10 minutes just to get a refill. A place this size should have three machines so at least two still available if one is out of service. That said, it's a lovely location and thumbs up for the cheerful Xmas decorations.

Faltaba una copa, mi hijo fue a hablar con el personal, el gerente de turno fue extremadamente grosero... ¡ok, el personal del bar escuchó mal! ¡Mi hijo trató de señalar el error... el suyo... inseguro en este punto! Fui al bar a comprar una bebida "desaparecida" y me faltaron el respeto y me dijeron y cito: "NO, NO SERVIR A NADIE EN ESA MESA "aparentemente mi hijo fue irrespetuoso con ella, pero ella fue irrespetuosa conmigo, momento en el que me fui, ya que estaba totalmente avergonzado por ella!

Just been in this Wetherspoons been in many times before. 2 women on next table had a little dog on knee. It was yapping all the time and being fed from table. We were eating and did not like it as other people didn’t . We thought u did not allow dogs in your pubs why did they let her stay. Very un hygienic. 😡😡

Nice outside area on sunny days

First visit to the Rawson yesterday evening whilst visiting from Nottingham. Absolutely beautiful pub and beer garden, warm welcome from the manager, David and service from the lads behind the bar was top tier- very quick and friendly and the drinks were well made. Wonderful to see that even on a midweek evening that the pub is busy and thriving. Looking forward to popping in again with some friends in the next few weeks!

This is a very good central place to meet in north west Sheffield with excellent traffic links to right outside the place.

Good selection of drinks and a good atmosphere and a good menu

Plenty of room, nice building and beer garden. During the day, the unlimited coffee refills are great.

Joshua on the bar is a top bloke hope to see him go far in the business, was very helpful with deciding what to drink :)

First ever visit to the rawson spring yesterday, we the family, David and his team made us feel very welcome during our time here.

First time visiting on Tues 20th August around lunchtime. Was really busy but found a table. Ordered via app. Drinks arrived straight away. Food around 10 minutes after, both meals cooked perfectly Lovely and hot. Lovely atmosphere staff friendly. As we were leaving we were thanked for visiting by the manager. Will definitely visit again when in area.

Excellent service from David tonight, a breath of fresh air

Another City....another Spoons !! After getting a trouncing by Wednesday and having been cheered up in the Northern Monkey I needed a bite to eat in a less crowded environment. Nice Ruddles and some curry chips was perfect after an exhausting day travelling from Plymouth. Can't beat a Spoons! for dependability....

I do tend to go here quite a bit and over the years things are getting steadily worse. The staff are fine but the food quality and portion size are dwindling as recently had a so called double American burger and chips and when it came I thought it was a child's meal and flavour wise there didn't seem to be any. Some meals are fine but quality does seems to have gone and prices have increased so I honestly don't think you get value for money anymore.

I cannot describe how it feels to be a customer in this place. It is cheap. Yes . But does that mean the quality of service has to be so poor. I am a customer. Better off sitting outside the Lidl, with rhe rest of the tramps. Interesting business model

Very convenient location, loads of seating both inside and outdoors. Friendly and helpful staff. Great prices for food and drinks! Fast service and reasonable portions. Will definitely return when meeting our friends living nearby.

An excellent Weathersoons. It's on one level, including the toilets. So better than most. We will definitely come back again.

Ordered on the app - two meals, each with a pint of coke. Meals arrived after 20 minutes - but it's been an hour now and the drinks aren't here yet. Went to the bar, and was told they couldn't do anything about it. Ridiculous.

Excellent place always call in when down Hillsborough. Great atmosphere/ bar staffing could be a little better . But staff are excellent.

Over visiting from Dublin and big shout out to the staff who really looked after us.

Dan f is very disrespectful, didn’t show any respect doesn’t smile during customer service, stood on my partners brand new shoes and didn’t apologise. Whilst serving drinks didn’t show respect and slammed them on the table

Went in yesterday and what a mess the place was after some kids emptied salt and sugar all over and threw the packets on the floor .Manager bless him had it all to clean up .

It's a Spoons, so you get what you expect. In the middle of Hillsborough next to the tram stops.

Service has gone to pot in there, if you face isn't local, expect a 20 min wait... Food has also got to pot recently, lucky if it's Luke warm..... Wonder if they have had a change in management

My wife and I called in for a meal on Saturday and we were told at 1700 that they were not serving food

It's Rawson breakfast time. Why not? I'll tell you why not. It wasn't very good really. Says it all really. More? You want more? Right-ho then. The beans had that Wetherspoons phenomena of 'bean-skin' rocking the plate. A nice slice of microwaved bean juice sat upon the legumes like a crust of tomato infused scabbiness. The sausage had it's pork, giblet/hoof/testicle ratio cooked to the point of being almost tepid. The slither of bacon was stone cold, genuinely a chilblain inducing lack of heat. A St Bernard dog turned up at the pub with a tot of whiskey to rescue us from the piggy glacier. The toast and hash browns couldn't rescue the meal. A team of mountaineers couldn't rescue it. It wasn't particularly nice, I hope you get the gist.

English Breakfast was the worst I've had ash browns undercooked along with bacon beans cold wouldn't recommend it I won't go again

Typical wetherspoon, went on a match day when Sheffield Wednesday were playing, very busy but the staff coped brilliantly, breakfast served pretty promptly and a good atmosphere

Been going to Rawson for years unfortunately as a Weather Spoons pub it has a reputation for poor staff. I would have to agree with this ,location good on tram route food nice but staff interaction shocking. Had lipstick on my pint it had a head on it that would make Belgian beer proud ask for a fresh glass and topping staff member glared at me. I live in Sheffield it's a friendly place someone should inform the staff team.

Clean well organised venue, Due to the building being an old swimming pool there is masses of space, toilet's are very clean again with loads of space and very modern. The only drawback is there's no car park on site and due to being in a busy shopping area this can be a problem.
