The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Micklegate York Yorkshire and The Humber

Oh wow! This place hits the spot in so so many ways! The service is brilliant (all the staff are super friendly, attentive and efficient) and the food is great. You might have to queue to get a table (we didn’t as we arrived fairly early) but the wait is well worth it. I had the avocado on sourdough bread (topped mine with two poached eggs) and it was fabulous-the kids had pancake stacks….light and fluffy with the best ever berries, and the son and his OH had the eggs Royale which they usually have. Luckily we visit often from Whitby and I think this will be a regular thing. Can’t wait to try an evening session…… I have to say I’m glad to have found somewhere in York that does great food at reasonable prices as we have ditched Betty’s for good (overpriced and mediocre) and Robinson’s will be our “go to” place from now on.

Had a lovely lunch with my wife and son. I’m a meat eater but had a really tasty mushroom based meal and healthy to boot so would recommend this place to all tastes. Lovely coffee and friendly staff more than ready to describe each dish and how it’s prepared and cooked. A little out of the centre for those that don’t know York but worth tracking down. Excellent pancakes with fruit and ice cream. I’ll shall be returning. Very reasonable prices too for such a tourist trap as York is.

Tomé un queso y jamón con un café con leche y mi madre sólo tomó un café con leche. Los precios son muy baratos y me gustó mucho mi croissant. Definitivamente llamaré de nuevo. ¡Un crédito a York!

I would definitely recommend anyone going to York to visit Rose cafe, great food, friendly service and a great location. We will definitely be back

My twin brother Stephen and I were waiting for the train back to Leeds from York Railway Station and in the concourse was a great cafe we spotted called Coffee Time and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a light, airy and modern railway station cafe,nice decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe,a cool place to kill time waiting for our train. We ordered a flat white coffee each, served steaming hot, we just kicked back and went over the great day out we had just had out in York. My coffee was really good, from the first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve, a really pleasant brew. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we caught our train and for a first time visit to Coffee Time we were totally impressed. Coffee Time is easy to locate in York Railway Station. Most definitely well worth seeking out if you find yourself in this historic railway station.

Really enjoyed this relaxed restaurant. The food is something slightly different than the standard menu choices you see time after time. Tasty comfort feed. Service is personal and friendly.

Menu is standard Italian with nothing unusual at all. Food was fine but my Arrabiata was nothing like any other Arrabiata I've had before and came with spaghetti, rather than the usual penne. My friend ordered pasta and was served a pizza. I ordered pate which came with a choice of garlic bread or salted rosemary bread but I asked if I could have plain bread instead. It came with plain bread instead (which was lovely) and they charged me £5 extra for the bread. Both waitresses who served us made mistakes, but I guess everyone has to start somewhere. A 6/10 for me on the on night I went.

The best coffee in York! The staff are the sunniest baristas I have ever met. I also highly recommend the walnut, pecan, and banana loaf.

Very nice coffee and fruit crumble. The staff were friendly and polite. The cafe was clean, and the tables weren't on top of each other. Would definitely go back again.

Great selections of food and desserts. It’s good to get there early, especially on the weekends to avoid the line. the place is pretty cute with ceiling windows

A cute and cosy morning at the Fortyfive Vinyl Cafe, York on the 24th January 2025. As the cafe was only across the road from the hotel my partner and I stayed at. I loved the country independent rock vibe and I liked how they sold stuff associated with music , my boyfriend plays guitar independently and is very passionate about it so I'm glad this cafe interested him. I would definitely recommend this cafe ❤️
