The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Micklegate York Yorkshire and The Humber

We came across this lovely cafe. We were greeted with a warm welcome and a great mug of tea, much to my husband’s delight. You can not beat a mug. Teapots are available. Drinks and snacks were delicious and service friendly. We will be back when we are next visiting York x

I would definitely recommend anyone going to York to visit Rose cafe, great food, friendly service and a great location. We will definitely be back

Great plant based, zero/low waste and well located coffee shop. Very tasty food, friendly staff and good coffee.

My twin brother Stephen and I were waiting for the train back to Leeds from York Railway Station and in the concourse was a great cafe we spotted called Coffee Time and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a light, airy and modern railway station cafe,nice decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe,a cool place to kill time waiting for our train. We ordered a flat white coffee each, served steaming hot, we just kicked back and went over the great day out we had just had out in York. My coffee was really good, from the first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve, a really pleasant brew. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we caught our train and for a first time visit to Coffee Time we were totally impressed. Coffee Time is easy to locate in York Railway Station. Most definitely well worth seeking out if you find yourself in this historic railway station.

Great family dinner (with a dog as well), food, service and owners all excellent. Portions are great and atmosphere relaxed and friendly

Recomiendo este lugar en un viaje de compras a York y no decepcionó. Un ambiente agradable y un personal muy amable! La comida era fresca, delicioso y sin duda volveremos. Es encantador encontrar un lugar que está haciendo su granito de arena por el planeta y que apoya todo aquello en lo que crees. Tuve el plato de hummus de remolacha al igual que mi amigo que no es vegano y a los dos nos encantó

Oh wow! This place hits the spot in so so many ways! The service is brilliant (all the staff are super friendly, attentive and efficient) and the food is great. You might have to queue to get a table (we didn’t as we arrived fairly early) but the wait is well worth it. I had the avocado on sourdough bread (topped mine with two poached eggs) and it was fabulous-the kids had pancake stacks….light and fluffy with the best ever berries, and the son and his OH had the eggs Royale which they usually have. Luckily we visit often from Whitby and I think this will be a regular thing. Can’t wait to try an evening session…… I have to say I’m glad to have found somewhere in York that does great food at reasonable prices as we have ditched Betty’s for good (overpriced and mediocre) and Robinson’s will be our “go to” place from now on.

Llegó para un expreso rápido. Bonito ambiente moderno, un servicio decente y lo más importante un buen café expreso. Vendría de nuevo.

Ambiente encantador y muy buen sándwich. Muy razonable precio también. Personal muy amable. Vi gente literalmente haciendo cola alrededor de la manzana. Ven aquí por un bocadillo para llevar o coge una de las pocas mesas si puedes.

Sat and had a mediocre coffee whilst a man (presumably the owner?) stood at the end of the counter smirking at a member of staff training another new member of staff. They told her that there’s no difference between a flat white and a latte, and then they both shamed her and laughed at her for being left handed. Horrible.

Awesome dinner, such a cute restaurant. Service would be 5stars, but the nduja was forgotten in my arrabiata. Without though it was delicious none the less. My companion had the bolognese and we both could have licked our plates. Perfect portion sizes.

El café sabe bien, el tamaño es demasiado pequeño para el precio que están pidiendo. El personal no escucha a sus clientes, en dos ocasiones he pedido mi café blanco plano sin espuma que ha venido con al menos 2 ins de espuma y casi nada de leche en la bebida!

The place was very cozy for me. The ambiance matches well with their food. Avocado on toast and mocha was my favorite combi.

The food is excellent with good veggie and vegan options. We had booked a table but waited over an hour for food to arrive. The prices shown don’t include VAT so the bill comes as a bit of a surprise.
