Sugar & Spice is such a friendly & welcoming café! The coffee is definetly the best in town, there is a wide variety of tea options to choose from, and also cold drinks! Sacha’s homemade soup is stunning & the variety of cakes/treats are fantastic! Highly recommend, you don’t want to walk past this gem!🥰

Really great family feel to this little gem of a cafe, staff were very friendly and welcoming (even though they were exceptionally busy) food was excellent I had the chicken burger and my partner had a tuna pannini both of which were excellent. Prices are very reasonable and this place is well worth a visit and we look forward to our next time

Popped in for for breakfast on a sunny Friday morning and ordered a flat white and an eggs florentine…. Although disappointed to learn that this was actually an ‘egg’ florentine. Tbf the food was decent enough, snd staff friendly. But to be charged over £11 for what was a single egg on a single piece of toast and a coffee seemed excessive to me. Maybe I’m being overly demanding, but I’ve never received such a small portion for that amount, (which is saying something as I’m from london!) I appreciate food costs have gone up, but one egg? really? make your own mind up from the photo.

We had visited 3 years before and remembered an good experience and we were not disappointed on our return. We both decided to go for soup and a sandwich combo, expecting 1/2 a sandwich at the price. We were both surprised when the fresh made to order sandwiches came fully stacked, no half measures. The Cauliflower Chowder was amazing and we both rated it the best thing we’d tasted this holiday. The service was friendly and relaxed and the atmosphere light and airy. I shouldn’t say too much otherwise it might be packed next time we visit.

Much to our disappointment, this place has sadly closed after the greedy landlord hiked up the rent. The lovely coffee we were looking forward to is alas no more.

We were a group of seven - all family - visiting for Sunday lunch. It was lovely to be together. The pub is nicely decorated, and has a lovely feel about it. It has atmosphere, it has different rooms, it has nooks and crannies! The bar itself is small but well stocked. The food was excellent! I had the trio Sunday lunch, which had a slice of beef, a slice of pork, and a small chicken breast. All beautifully cooked, and tasty. The Yorkshire Pudding and the gravy were just perfect. The only downside to the meal was the service. For the price (which was okay because of the quality of the food) I was expecting a slightly more attentive staff. The team (especially the gentleman with the accent) was friendly but I felt they could have done with at least one more server. Overall, the pub and the food made for a pleasant get together.
