Came here for a hot drink as staying at Premier Inn, had wanted a cooked breakfast but not serving at the time - they happily made a 'proper' coffee, and gave me a warm welcome and wasn't rushed.Very good prices. Well recommended for a sit down and a chat

We came in for a coffee and had an excellent flat white, very nice tasting and not too milky. They have some interesting things for sale here and we left with some bars of reasonably priced soap

Went yesterday with friends on a business trip. 7 of us. Found a table and a helpful waitress got more chairs to accommodate us. Could have done with another table but it was busy so we said we would manage. Friend went in to enquire what soup it was. Person, rude unfriendly. Felt like didn’t want to serve us so we all left.

This is a little gem of a cafe in the Piece Hall in Halifax. I came with a coach party from around the Blackpool area and we were dropped off at the Piece Hall first. It used to be a cloth merchants place many years ago and I worked just around the corner from here in an office in the 90’s and could not believe how much it had changed. It is full of little independent shops well worth venturing inside to look around. The stone work has been cleaned and the walkways/ floor redesigned. It’s beautiful now. A lot of money has been spent doing it up. They were just preparing to hold a Eurovision Song Contest party and I believe they held a Coronation party also for King Charles on May 6th. I ventured upstairs, there are lifts as well as stairs and came across G’s cakes. I love a nice latte and cake. Already members of my coach party were inside and I was served by a really lovely lady called Helen. She said she loved her job and you could tell. Nothing was too much trouble. I had a latte which was just perfect and a large slice of Victoria sponge. It was delicious. There were so many cakes to choose from. I was told they also had another outdoors eatery downstairs. It was so nice in G’s cakes, I went back before the coach headed onto Shibden Hall.
