Nice food and reasonable prices. Also had the ice cream, gutted mint choc chip and rum and raisin weren't on sale though!

Fantastic place to meet and eat and pass the time away. Food is fantastic the staff friendly and welcoming. Been going for months and no complaints.

I just want to say what a lovely day the ladies of Swanland WI, East Yorkshire had at the Piece Hall yesterday. I would also like to say that the food at Blondin’s was excellent, good value for money and promptly served. The staff were so lovely and friendly and served 14 of us within no time at all for our morning coffee and snacks. Some members were so impressed that they returned for lunch! Thank you Blondin’s x

Blondins Ice Cream Parlour is much more than ice cream. We had hot beef sandwiches and halloumi wraps and they were both delicious and the waffle desert and ice cream sundaes were fabulous. Very clean premises, great service and such good value for money. We were very impressed and would go again and recommend to everyone. Please go to Blondins for lunch.

We were delighted to find that the Blondins staff were very happy to help account for my partners allergies, and provided a friendly service. They've got a range of vegan and gluten free options, which gave us an opportunity to eat stress-free and enjoy our day out. Highly recommended!

A lovely lunch at Blondin's diner. Tasty food, freshly made, great service and looked after us really well, including making toast for the baby. Dog friendly and heated outdoor seating.

I enquired about gluten free food (I have coeliac disease) and was blown away by how helpful and knowledgable the staff were. They were so knowledgable about cross-contamination - they prepare gluten-free foods in a separately with separate utensils, gf bread doesn’t get toasted alongside the regular bread etc, and were happy explaining their procedures to me. This is the first time I’ve ever had a server (in the UK) recognise oats as gluten-containing and a possible source of contamination! So I felt really safe eating here, had loads of choice, and the staff were just lovely. The nachos were delicious and came with a proper helping of sour cream, guacamole and salsa. I had a chai latte which was equally delicious. Will happily go back to eat again :) thank you

This place is fantastic! The cheese burger is to die for, succulent burger with cheese in a delicious burger bun. The chips were great too. All washed down with a cappucino and a flat white coffee. Staff very friendly. Will definitely return

Situated in the Piece Hall, this diner seems to be very popular, with good reason. It’s the first time we’ve visited Piece Hall, and early on a Sunday morning we wanted some breakfast. Nice choice here, including regular breakfasts, pancakes, porridge, toast and breakfast sandwiches. The diner is spotless, the staff are lovely and the food was really nice, and great value. What a spot! At the top of the slope overlooking the Piece Hall Piazza. Grab a table outside to watch the people, in this stunning palace of industry with the beautiful green hills beyond. It’s all about the ice cream here. Enjoy!

Ordered 4 milkshakes. What a disappointment. Extremely small . Ordered an jaffa cake which tasted just like vanilla a strawberry that was so milky it just tasted of milk with Raspberry sauce and cream. 19.50 for 4 of that size is a joke. Will not return. Shame really as its a nice place.

Suggested by wife for a spot of lunch. Little gem. Good food and coffee. Friendly staff and great service. Go here and you are actually helping a unique piece of heritage as all profits go to The Piece Hall itself, the last remaining Georgian piece hall in the world

Omg this place is amazing 🤩 the customer service was fantastic, the place was so clean and tidy, food came extremely quickly, prices are great and the selection of food is great too but what made it a wonderful visit was the food it’s self honestly I can’t recommend highly enough. We had a Philly steak wrap with chips, salad and home made slaw and a hotdog chips, salad and slaw as well as a ice cream Sunday and every bit was super delicious truly. Everything was fresh and the taste was AMAZING!!!!!! I could of eating it again. You also get a full plate of food and it’s a large plate at that. I would absolutely recommend here to anyone especially if you have kids it’s a great place for an afternoon treat, a fun and tasty breakfast or a scrumptious dinner. We will definitely be back Thanks to all the staff x

Chose this place as the food looked really good and had good selection for kids on the menu. Very busy though. Food was really nice and reasonably priced. Dessert was huge well worth the £5.50. It would have fed 3 people! 👍

My friend and I meet regularly to have breakfast here. The bacon sandwiches are especially delicious. We have eaten lunch here too but have been less impressed. We will continue to order our breakfasts.

After having had lunch at The Trading Rooms, called here for dessert, We have visited before some years ago and it certainly has not lost its touch. 2 ginger and rhubarb sponges, 1 treacle sponge, all with custard, 1 waffle which had choices of toppings and ice cream flavours. Pots of tea and a coffee for our party. Our friends never visited and we had told them how good it was previously so chuffed it lived up to our previous experience Friendly, attentive staff, couldn’t ask for more

Me and my fiancé come to the diner and we couldn’t fault anything, a very clean and social bunch of people who work here. The staff are very pleasant and helpful nothing but smiles all around. We will definitely be back and next time we will bring our niece and nephew as they will love all the different flavours of ice cream.

We were very excited to try this diner as we love diners and this is our first time taking nephew/grandson out, the lady’s working here were lovely up until one young lady who I will not name but I have been given the name of didn’t accept fault for what she’d done. Our nephews food was the last to come out which is not an issue had we not been waiting roughly 15 minutes for it to come out AFTER our food. We had to approach the counter to get this resolved only then were we informed that there was an issue with the food we had ordered. After waiting another 10 minutes for this to be resolved the table who arrived after us was given the meal we had ordered!!! When we raised this as an issue the lady who won’t be named SHOUTED at us about how it’s not her fault that she made a mistake. IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS! Then continued to shout across the counter when confronted about it, I manage a cafe and therefore know how things work within a business like this and the way she handled that situation was absolutely unacceptable had this happened in my place of work this girl would be put on a disciplinary and would be retrained. Other than that issue the food was delicious and all staff (barring the obvious) were brilliant! The assistant manager and a lady I didn’t get the name of handled this situation really well and resolved the issues at the end thankfully 😊 we will be back again as this could have just been a really bad day for the staff.

We came here for the promotional fish and chip offer, the fish and chips wee beautiful and the staff really friendly and chatty. We will definitely be coming back

A lovely little diner, in a gorgeous setting. We were well looked after from the moment we got there. The food we ordered came fast and was delicious. Compliments to the chef!! We will definitely return.

Great little ice cream parlour but let down by poor customer service. Took the grandkids in for a treat and was met by a sour-faced lady who was clearly put out by having to wait a minute for my grandkids to choose flavours of ice...

Located in Piece Hall, this ice cream parlour and diner is very nice. We had breakfast here which was good. The highlight is that they can make you a milkshake out of any of their ice cream flavours.

Ordered the American pancakes with bacon .....rubbery pancakes and uncrispy bacon which is essential for this item. Sadly staff not welcoming, and a little abrupt. Not sure why they can't do table service. Won't be returning.

A great space to sit outside in the sunny square, but also with patio heaters for if the shade is too cold, made it a great location. My baconator was about as you’d expect from an American diner fare - pretty greasy junk but tasty...

Stopped here for lunch today with my husband and teenage son. I had a delicious prawn mayo sandwich, hubby had american pancakes and son had a waffle treat. Everything was delicious and the coffee was good. Lovely, friendly service too. And the ice cream there is amazing

This is a well located ice cream place in the lovely Piece Hall square. Great range of ice cream flavours and good cake and pancake options too. It wasn't too busy on a midweek afternoon but service was brusque and unfriendly. A pity.

Been here a few times in the past and was very disappointed a very miserable looking place in what should be nice welcoming as you come here for treats. Came back to the piece Hall for a visit and decided to come into blondins for an ice-cream the place has totally changed it's so inviting with a beautiful mural of the piece Hall on the back wall tablecloths sugar bowls menus on the tables wow wow wow! There is a children's corner with a little table with to-do sheets on the children can be entertained the parents are chatting a lovely idea. The menu is incredible they do a different style of breakfast from a bacon sandwich two pancakes with bacon and maple syrup or even waffles. You can either order at the counter or if you wish someone will come to your table and serve you. The start of very happy you can see that in their faces and the way that they interact with the customers the place is extremely clean I did notice that before it wasn't as clean as it as what it is now. They have quite a few bargain offers on so do check the menus as this is where they seem to be displayed. Will definitely call again.

Stumbled across blondins as seen a sign outside for bacon butties,wow delicious,interior is welcoming and a great view of the piece hall...they sell a drink called affogatto which I've never heard of basically vannila ice cream with a shot of coffee...will deffo be back 10/10

Wide range of flavours and a couple of Northern Block brand on offer. Not bad value of £3.50 for two big scoops in a tub. Enjoyed the ice cream and thought the flavour and texture of both scoops very good. It was quiet when we visited so no service issues. The girl who served us was really friendly and pleasant.

I ordered an ice cream and a hot drink. Waited at my table for 15 minutes for my coffee by which time my son had finished his ice cream. The coffee never appeared and I had to queue up again to ask where it was. No apologies offered, no coffee ever received. Would not recommend this place.

After heading home from the chow down at piece hall we stopped off for an ice cream at blondins. they had a great choice of ice cream and these were delicious however the staff were rude and when they got my order wrong they tutted and scalded me like it was my fault. Likewise the atmosphere in the shop was lacking and was only made up by the music and buzz of the chow down.

visited with my grown up daughters, there was one girl busy making drinks and serving while the other was putting ice cream out, she should have stopped what she was doing and actually served someone or cleared some tables, not a good sign really, its the first time i have known one of my daughters not finish a hot chocolate, not a good experience so would not visit again

Having visited this place twice I can honestly say that the ice cream sundaes are delicious and not badly priced, however my criticism is of the actual eat in space. It could be so much more. The setting is very, very basic with hardly any decor, bare tables and cheap chairs. There is just no atmosphere. This is, I think, the only ice cream parlor in Halifax and it's missing a trick, especially considering it sits in the newly refurbished Piece Hall. On our last visit the music was being played through a radio that kept cutting out and sending white noise through the place. It would be sad to see this little gem close down so come on owners, perk it up a bit!
