Lovely atmosphere in this hidden gem of a tea room in Lichfield. We were made to feel very welcome and special. They specialise in celebration custom made cakes but have a selection of home made slices of cake and cupcakes on offer. The tea room has a light bite menu and food is cooked just right and tastes delicious. Visited today for their summer special afternoon tea which was very yummy. Everything was delicious and I especially liked the scones.

10/10 to the chef, food was absolutely fabulous no complaints whatsoever with that. However it was a total shame about the service. I paid a £20 deposit for 4 people and was made aware that this would come off at the bill at the end. I was told to call and amend booking if numbers changed. However both my babies were poorly on the day, tried to call on my way however the line was engaged. After receiving our drinks we were asked if we would mind moving to free up space for walk ins, which we happily obliged. Upon paying for our bill I asked if the £20 deposit could be taken off the bill, which was refused and advised only £10 would be taken off as 'the food for the other booking had ''gone to waste''. I queried with the manager, who also said the same. Although no preorder was done and both my children would have had a babychino at most being so young. I rarely complain but I think this was very unprofessional and I won't be visiting again. Which is such shame after hearing such good things about this spot.

Great place with superb beer and delicious pizzas. We sat upstairs where there was plenty of room and enjoyed a couple of hours with friends. Highly recommended

This was our first time dinning at the highly recommended Inn near Lichfield. On arrival we were directed to the bar as we were some 1.5 hrs early for our table, the bar, though packed was very welcoming, full of locals with really friendly staff. We got to our table at 19.40 hours and went into the very well appointed restaurant. Our waiter attended us immediately with menus , great selection of starters and mains including a very good vegetarian selection. We had a mixture of starters , 1 soup, 1 duck and two melted cheese. Delicious. Mains were Sea bass, 2 Haddock and chips and 1 Duck with pak choi rice and vegetables, Portion size is massive, the Haddock being the largest I have ever eaten. All I can say about the food is it’s just first class, we were lucky enough to be able to spend some time with the manager who is a real character. All the staff were super friendly and efficient. Overall this was a really positive experience and one I shall soon repeating. I would recommend if you wish to go there book early as it really is extremely popular.

Very cold and unwelcoming, popped in for a quick coffee before my business meeting in the area. The dark haired lady was very cold and unwelcoming, the coffee shop itself looked quite basic and smelt like a greasy cafe which was a shame, being the only one in the village and surrounding area I would have thought it would be much more warm and welcoming, the coffee is cheap and not the best. I’m an avid coffee drinker and have coffees daily, I love to support little independent coffee shops wherever I am unfortunately not this one.

Well without banging on this pub is just awesome. Andrea has turned this pub around, it has atmosphere, great beer, and you can't fault the baps. When you walk in the greeting is always the same a warm smile, it always feels like you have been away and you have come back to your family. This is a must visit in Lichfield you will not be disappointed in any shape or form.

Had a wonderful hot chocolate from here, even though the restaurant had just opened I was welcomed inside while the machines warmed itself and then I had the most delicious hot chocolate thank you

After reading the reviews for this place we had very high hopes. The food was dry and overpriced but what really upset me was the way that the owner was speaking to the staff. Whilst she sat at the bar and drank cocktails all night the floor staff were running around trying to clear tables. We witnessed her making a young waitress cry after shouting at her for not cleaning quick enough (The place was packed)

This bakery is no longer Ralph & Betty's it has changed to The Bakery Chasetown. As well as changing the name - everything has changed including taste and quality. I ordered a couple of sandwich platters as Whitehouse Butchers were full. This was a huge mistake. Firstly it was 25% dearer and I had to pay for the silver platter on top! Secondly they were very poor - stale, soggy and tasteless and looked like it had been thrown together. Today I had a roll which was very dry and again no care went into it filling just thrown in - here's a tip try using cling film when you're making them fresh so they at least stay together. All in all very poor quality and service - will never go back!
