First time in this pub Melanie on the bar was wonderful very welcoming 🙏 great atmosphere lovely cold guinness and lots of pup dogs to heaven

Mel & the team make this the perfect place to have a pint (or a couple). My Dad & I always make ‘The Queens’ our place to meet on our Friday early doors. Keep up the great work- It means a lot to me to have you as my ‘local’. Sean H

Friendly side street local. Usually have a couple of real ales on. Worth a visit if on an ale trail in the city.

I use the Queens Head as often as I can. And the situation is the same as last time. A traditional pub that the brewery company's are closing down pubs due to high prices. This has been going for years.

Great little gem of a pub. Great atmosphere, good events on weekly and a lovely beer garden at the back too Charlotte who works behind the bar is a very friendly, full of banter and welcoming. Land lady is very lovely. All staff are very warm and welcoming. Would recommend :)

Limited choice of draught beer. Marston's Pedigree, I've tasted better, and Wainwright. At £2.75 a pint can't complain.

A pub where everyone knows your name and you are well looked after from the time you walk past the window to the time you leave. The staff are polite and professional at all times and the people that visit make the days/evenings It’s moving with the times to keep the pub industry alive and attract new business

Popped in Sunday, just went to see if it had improved as have missed the place. Unfortunately it was worse than ever. Had one drink and left. Won’t be back. People shouting and singing at the tops of their voices and jigging around all over the place. The area in front of the toilets was completely blocked by people and no way of getting through. The language was absolutely disgusting, even from staff. Couldn’t touch the tables as they were so sticky as was the carpet. The whole place looked like it hadn’t had a good clean in ages. The current staff and clientele have sadly ruined the place. Luckily there are several good pubs close by where a lot of old Queens regulars go.

Great Marston's pub with the usual Pedigree and Hobgoblin Gold on the pumps. Shipyard and a couple of lagers and ciders on tap. A nice Marlborough NZ Sauvignon Blanc was available. Dog friendly and super nice staff. This was a surpringly good little stop.

The pub has always been dog friendly and it’s nice to see dogs in the pub As for the rabble don’t understand people having fun ? I’ve been to the queens ,many times .if I felt it wasn’t for me or my family I just wouldn’t go As for the water on the toilet floor I just take my snorkel and flippers don’t understand the issue

What the heck has happened to this pub? I agree with BretS that the pub has deteriorated rapidly since the management changed. The “rabble” he mentioned stand 3 deep at the bar and sit at the tables opposite. They do not consider other customers who can’t get near the bar to get served and find it difficult to move around the pub. The worst thing the new management have done is to install a jukebox. The groups shout along to the songs at the tops of their voices and dance around all over the place (if you can call it dancing). Not conducive with a comfortable evening out for other customers!! The pub is now “dog friendly” which is fine, but they do not insist that dogs are on leads like other pubs do. It is not nice to have strange dogs walking around your legs and scrounging your snacks. My partner has said the gents toilets floor is always swimming in “water”.which is obviously walked across the bar floor every time they are used. The toilets had previously been mopped regularly and not just left as they are now. Such a shame this has happened and the pub is being spoilt by a selfish inconsiderate few and some regulars now go elsewhere.

The Queens is a proper “locals pub” where there is always a friendly welcome from the staff and a fine pint to drink. Mel is doing a great job since taking over as landlady ably supported by Ass Man and Natalie! Great bunch of locals too and there’s usually someone to have a chat with and put the world to rights!

Best pub in Lichfield in the day. From early evening every day it is dominated by a rough rowdy rabble. They shout, use foul language and very raucous and offensive behaviour. They have no consideration for other customers at all. The new management don’t try to control them and actually join in. They have destroyed the ambience of the pub. It has deteriorated since the change of management recently . What a shame this has been allowed to happen. Used this pub for 30 years and it has never been this bad. Many other regulars have stopped using it go to nearby pubs instead, maybe it is time for me and others to do the same.

The Queen’s Head is a proper pub, and Natalie the bar manager always provides excellent service with a smile.

What an absolute gem of a pub, staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make your visit the best it can be, the beer is perfect and even the regulars make you welcome. Will 100% be back.

Surprisingly, it has remained reassuringly unchanged. It seems popular, perhaps because it's possible to have a conversation without having to shout above music or other distractions.

By far one of the best pubs in lichfield, the staff are amazing, very competent and nothing is too much trouble for them! My dog absolutely loves walking here for a pint where she gets a bowl of water and a yummy treat.. not forgetting cuddles from her favourite ladies, Mel, Kat and Alana!

What a hidden gem.. I was made to feel so welcome by Mel Kat and Nat. Nearly everybody in the pub was friendly especially Derek and Ty, there's always a grumpy one, this one had a northeastern accent but had a nice little dog. I'll...

I like this pub a great deal. I don’t imagine it looks any different from what it did in 1974 which is a major part of its appeal along with a good selection of ales.

Wondered in on a whim, and so glad I did. You know you’re in a good pub when above the bar is photos of the locals dogs. Great vibe, very friendly and less than £4 a pint. Absolute winner

Great friendly service from Chris and the team at the Queens Head really looked after the group, bought back some great memories from the past as it was the regular spot for us 30 years ago. The atmosphere and the beer is still top notch.

Great night Friday (4 November) was around 20 of us turned up for a get together. Hope the tills rang well for the owners 😁 Going back a few years, the Queens used to be called the Cheese Factory as it sold a selection of cheeses, plates and breads. Do they still do this? I didn't take time to ask the owners last week.

Since my last review the pub has changed ownership and staff. I was served by Mel who was amazing and kept us happy all night. Brilliant experience and has completely change my opinion on this lovely local

I visited the Queens Head on Saturday last with friends. From the off the staff were nothing but ver friendly and helpful. The beer was exceptional and a number of choices. For me it was difficult as my 2 favourite beers (Wainwrights & Hobgoblin Gold)...
