Great pub again after a few false starts under different management. A wonderful local. Doing Sunday lunch most weeks now. But super welcoming and friendly owners. Lots of outside seating in a lovely staffordshire village. We'll worth a visit Open fire and a warm welcome in the winter months

This place is the village pub, if I lived in the village I'd be very disappointed if it was my local, I like a real old world pub with ales but this one is in serious need of a refurb, it's just not cozy, the 4 stars are for the friendly people in there

Great Staff. Well kept good selection of ales and a nice pint of Birra Moretti. Food - I've had the Meat platter (ribs, pulled pork, sausage, brisket, beans etc..) for two which was great and the wonderful steak on steak night - Tuesday 2 for £25 including a bottle of Wine. Out tonight for a Burger (Thursday burger night) which look delicious (and are reported to be so!). Pizzas are also great as I helped a friend finish one recently :-). Highly recommend you give it a try!

We’d heard that Greyhound had started to do food and as we live in neighbouring village we decided we must try! Had pizza - you pay for basic Margurita then add toppings as you wish. They are huge - large enough to share and delicious! We had chicken, mushroom and bacon - mini bacon rashers not chopped up tiny pieces, chunks of chicken and proper fresh sliced mushrooms (not the slimy frozen ones - yuk!). Fries were crispy and coated in a nice peri peri spice coating - again large enough to share. We also had nachos - smothered in cheese with salsa and guacamole Great value. Nice atmosphere with friendly locals. Dog friendly too. Good selection of ales inc a few pale ales - local too. We’ve been back and a few folk were eating Sunday roast wrap... smelt and looked delicious. We’ll go back to try at some point! Try it... you won’t be disappointed if you like no nonsense good pub grub and a good pint.

We live locally and have always been regulars at the Greyhound so was delighted when the new manager decided to start food! The pub itself is such an old charming village pub with a lovely beer garden and really good selection of real ales, wines, sprits etc and there is always a brilliant atmosphere and friendly welcome. It’s predominantly a drinking pub so this isn’t fine dining or fancy tables or an-extensive 3 course menu etc it’s bar food and snacks but really good bar food!! We’ve eaten steaks, ribs, burgers and pizzas and all have been delicious. The mighty meat feast is amazing but word to the wise it will feed 2-3 of you! It’s enormous!! The smokehouse meats are tender, tasty and just as good as some of the bbq joints I’ve eaten in whilst in the USA. It’s really good value for money with all the main meals around the £10-12 mark with a few exceptions. The staff are great and will accommodate all your needs. You must pay it a visit!

What a fantastic venue. Fantastic manager, shout out to him. Fantastic beer. And I cannot explain how utterly mind blowing the food was. I had ribs, brisket, wings, bbq beans. This for sure, is more meat than one human can eat, however I was not bothered even in the slightest. It was the most tender meat, and the slight hint of smoke was utterly fantastic. I'm struggling to put into words how etherial this visit was. It is my new place of worship. Would recommend every day of the week. And will be bringing every red blooded meat eater I know. And they also do epic vegetarian food! Thanks again, Ryan.

Had an absolutely amazing meal. Lived in the area for a while and not visited the Greyhound before. Decided to give it a go as we saw the A board out on the main road. Truly a little gem. Under new management as of a couple of weeks ago and they're doing an amazing job. Food was really really good, proper BBQ smoke house type food, done really well. I've got allergies and they were very accommodating. Ordered too much food though, will be enjoying the leftovers tomorrow! Lovely atmosphere too with live music. We'll definitely be going back.

Fantastic breakfast, I need to know where you buy your sausages!! Absolutely delicious. Everything piping hot, gorgeous sourdough bread. Not the cheapest breakfast but you can tell the ingredients aren’t the cheapest, I’m happy to pay the extra and enjoy it. Great, friendly service. Didn’t feel like we were rushed to leave. AAA ⭐️⭐️⭐️

As usual the cafe was very busy but we were able to find a table which was cleaned immediately. Although the menu is temporarily limited there is still plenty of choice and the service was excellent. Food was lovely and warm, and coffees excellent. Look forwards to my next visit

We live in Lichfield and never knew this outstanding little place existed, even though it has been here for 2 years in December. Tapas is outstanding. Been back twice in a week now we have discoved it! Recommend, nachos with beef, chacuterie board, pig cheek and churros. If you want to try something different give it a go. Its located quite inconspicously by the uniform shop , opposite Greek chef.
