Poquito Lichfield in Lichfield

After reading the reviews for this place we had very high hopes. The food was dry and overpriced but what really upset me was the way that the owner was speaking to the staff. Whilst she sat at the bar and drank cocktails all night the floor staff were running around trying to clear tables. We witnessed her making a young waitress cry after shouting at her for not cleaning quick enough (The place was packed)

Popped in to an empty place for a bite to eat and drinks. Had an incredibly frosty service that we couldn't tell if the guy was miserable or passive aggressive. Food was well cooked but lacking in flavour. It got busier whilst we were there but the atmosphere was ruined by the service and the food just didn't make up for it. Don't think we will be back.

A really cute little venue with lovely staff. Nicely designed, cosy and with a great vibe, and the drinks were also good, as always. We haven’t yet eaten here, just had drinks a couple of times. But seeing the food being bought out to other tables, we do think we will sample the food on another visit.

Decent Spanish food - with a wide menu choice. We thought the portions were on the small size, meaning the meal became expensive for what it was. Friendly, helpful staf.

We live in Lichfield and never knew this outstanding little place existed, even though it has been here for 2 years in December. Tapas is outstanding. Been back twice in a week now we have discoved it! Recommend, nachos with beef, chacuterie board, pig cheek and churros. If you want to try something different give it a go. Its located quite inconspicously by the uniform shop , opposite Greek chef.

I have visited Poquito a number of times now and it’s recently become our go-to for a cocktail, the drinks are gorgeous. We visited last night for drinks and today we went back for Sunday lunch. The food was beautiful and cooked to perfection. The deserts were lovely too. Poquito has a really mellow and intimate atmosphere, great music (last night was chilled Reggae when we was in there) and has a great selection of tapas / small plates / Sunday ‘Yorkshire pudding wraps’. Would definitely recommend x

Great place to come with friends and family and to celebrate birthdays. Friendly staff and waitresses and great cocktails :) very welcoming, would 100% recommend

Really liked this wine bar. Just two things that irritate... the music is always blaring and you have to talk over it. Also, the wine list. Tried the Pinot and it's not a good one. The rest of the white wines are overpriced. The Indian restaurant, Eastern Eye serves a gorgeous pinot at a reasonable price. If you are a wine bar, the wine list should be much better.

What a fabulous small bar serving the most delicious tapas. We sampled all the savoury dishes on the menu, and I can honestly say they were all delicious with lots of different flavours. The cocktails are good too, I would definitely recommend if you're visiting Lichfield.

Really well looked after despite turning up at 8pm without a reservation on a busy Saturday night. The food was all good, the beef cheeks were brilliant and a different presentation of them. Service was just brilliant though. They did let us know it would be quite a wait for a table and then when it was taking longer they just served us food at the bar to make sure we could still dine there. It's a small menu but we were happy with all of our choices. Seemed popular with locals and stayed busy the two hours we were there.

Had a lovely evening here. Had Tapas, shared 6 different dishes. Also, bread and mixture of cheese, meat and olives. Each one was delicious. Great atmosphere and the staff always make us feel very welcome.

We visited for a celebration girls night out. Though busy we didn’t wait too long for a table. Staff were friendly and helpful! Including offering to take our picture. We had I think 7 tapas between us. Each one has about 2 portions. We doubled up on the nachos! Everything was really tasty! We shared 2 desserts too! Cheesecake was lovely!

Ate here today for the first time following a recommendation. Cannot fault this place at all. The tapas dishes were absolutely delicious and the customer service was top notch. A lovely woman with dark hair and a sleeve tattoo on the one side (I'm so sorry I didn't catch her name) served us and was chatty and making sure we had everything we needed whilst we were there. I thought bringing water to the table without having to ask straight away was such a great idea too. Will definitely be revisiting and making recommendations to others.

Food was amazing ,had the tapas . Lovely ambiance , lovely place and decor . Service was great . Definitely going back next week.

Great cocktails and delicious tapas. Lovely welcoming staff. Enjoyed croquettes, olives, beef cheek quesadillas, prawns and patas bravas. Negroni and old fashioned were both amazing. Harriet who took our orders was a credit to Poquitos with her recommendations and service.

Lovely little place, very stylish and comfortable with the MOST delicious tapas. Friendly and accommodating staff. Reasonably priced. Really outstanding.

We popped into here for some cocktails after a meal. Never been here before. It was fairly small and busy, but not so much that it felt cramped. Staff were pleasant and we enjoyed having a few drinks here.

We had our annual couples festive outing at Poquitos in Lichfield last night and it was absolutely wonderful. The attentive service, delicious food and drinks and atmosphere made for a fab Christmas get together. Would highly recommend to anyone who love high quality food, exceptional service topped with an excellent drinks selection. Thanks Egle and all the Poquito team will be back soon x

Poquito is a great addition to Lichfield, the tapas is some of the best I’ve had and the service is always great. Poquito often run a themed night once a month too, we’ve really enjoyed both the Caribbean and Japanese nights.

Lovely service and friendly staff. The food was good. I'm by no means a big eater but we needed to order more . The total for 4 adults and 2 children was £160 We did have a bottle of wine and the men had beers Would I rush back... no. I've eaten at Plates by Purnells in Birmingham for less cost and had more tasty food... so it's a no from me

We had an amazing night at the French night last night! The food was amazing and the service from Lowri and Lottie was fantastic! Can’t wait for the next night!

Great Saturday evening vibe! house red wine was beautifully smooth and good choice of tapas. I’m vegetarian and had plenty to choose from. Nice decor and friendly staff. Will definitely be returning

Went in for live music. Pretty quiet for a bank holiday which was a surprise. Most of the people knew each other so was a bit ''clicky' but nice decor with the personal touch of table service

Lovely food, lovely staff and a decent selection of beer. Will definitely be making a return visit when I am next in the area.

What a refreshing experience to have such a different bar and eatery in Lichfield. Great staff and service and the food is top quality. We will be visiting again soon

Dropped in to Poquito and was really impressed,it has a fantastic vibe ,great music and perfect place to meet friends for a glass or two Highly recommend it .

First visit last night to this new tapas bar. Food was excellent, really fresh and tasty. Cocktails were fantastic - best in Lichfield by far. A great addition to Lichfield. Will definitely be back. Lovely to meet the owner too - very welcoming and friendly.

What a find. I have hoped for a Tapas restaurant to open in Lichfield. FRESH food. I am VERY noise sensitive, and was sitting by the speakers. I was not bothered by music. The food, drink and service team were top notch. Very well cooked...

This place is just phenomenal. Great value, unique vibe with delicious food. Could not fault the place. Will definitely be going back!
