What a delightful place to go for breakfast , we wandered in mainly because everywhere else didn’t open until 10am , We were very warmly welcomed , unfortunately I didn’t get the ladies name who looked after us , but she was friendly. Quirky nothing was to much trouble and the full English was freshly cooked ( we were told that because the sausages were freshly cooked there would be a wait ) Delicious local ingredients, the bubble and squeak was amazing . Fantastic lunch here. I had ana amzing salad with beautifully crafted greens and butter beans as well as homemade hummus and the best Mediterranean roasted vegetables in Devon. The dressing was amazing and I believe they sell this to customers to take home. A fantastic spot and reasonably priced. Pleasant staff, it’s one to try!

The Hairy Barista oozes trendy coffee vibe and was bustling with a lovely vibe. We ordered coffees which took a little while to arrive - they were solid, but perhaps not as mind blowing as we were hoping for. Still a pleasant place to hang out in Totnes.

So pleased we found this independent cafe hidden down a side street. Received a warm welcome and had a lovely lunch. The food was beautifully presented and was so tasty. Will definitely revisit when next in Totnes. Thank you so much.

So hungry after smelling the kitchen cooking, my friend and I ordered food.... and I opted for Eggs Benedict. Now, the achilles heel of this dish, is a poor, often tough Muffin base. Here they served a large serving on two delightfully toasted, real bread slices. Just toasted enough, with plenty of hollandaise, and served by young, very enthusiastic staff. Highly recommended! Sadly, I did not like my coffee... this is probably related to me being a coffee snob! Very often a good establishment gets a machine contract tied to the supplier's idea (and cost) of the coffee they are obliged to use. This blend was bitter and not pleasant. I will drink tea next time.

Lovely vibe, the Cornish pudding was delicious. We found the bronut (second photo) slightly dry. The staff were lovely and there was lots of seating.

Great place to meet friends for coffee and cake or lunch . My whipped goats cheese and beetroot on sourdough toast was really delicious. Lots of choice and I struggled to decide what to eat but really pleased with my choice when I did . Plenty of space and parking . I will be back for sure

Cute little coffee shop. Was excited about the cake as it looked good but unfortunately didn’t stay for any because the lady at the till was quite unwelcoming when we arrived

Lovely little find whilst away racing with my son. Bedroom was very spacious and super clean, great amenities. Quite noisy as it's an old building but that adds to the charm. Would definitely stay again when in the area. Thank you

This place is a gem. Enough said, really.

Visited in September with our 1 year old. Ordered a variety of cakes and drinks, all of which were excellent. Staff went to extra trouble to find an ice cream flavour that our daughter liked. Have visited before for cream tea, and also for lunch, excellent both times. Convenient little cafe when in Totnes

Under staffed and poor service. One girl was taking the order and then making the coffee. There was a long slow queue. Went to find a table many of which were occupied by young people, probably students, using the place as a study centre. One table of four occupied by a lone young person with NO drink at all. Apparently he needed that table to plug his computer in to the wall socket! Won’t be going back.
