The food and service at this beautiful country pub were outstanding. The best pub food I have eaten in a long time and definitely the best truffle chips I’ve ever eaten. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely make this a regular eating spot.

I would be delighted if this pub was to move brick by brick to my neck of the woods. The beers and ciders are kept well, the service is efficient and friendly, and the Sunday roasts are great - the latter includes a fantastic nut roast for vegetarians (of which I am one). The prices are reasonable. What’s not to like? My thanks to all within this establishment.

Terrible and would not go back. Tables outside were not being wiped down or cleaned between customers and the plastic wicker chairs were all broken and horrible to sit on. All the food came out to find they forgot to put my food order through, so had to sit and wait and by the time it came out my husband and kids has finished. And when it did come out it was the biggest disappointment, DO NOT order the warm chicken and bacon salad with honey mustard dressing, it's basically a bowl or shredded iceberg with some sweetcorn and cherry tomatoes and a bit of onion thrown in and a measly few bits of chicken placed on top, with a pot of mayo in the middle, £14 for this is ridiculous. I must say though as don't like to be too critical on a small business, my husband said the crab burger was lovely. I am all for supporting small businesses but I would never return here.

Just a really nice coffee shop, and that's that. It does what it says on the tin and quite nicely really. Would defo go back again, that's for sure.

Can’t believe these are all genuine reviews. Wouldnt surprise me if they weren’t written by the owners friends.Didn’t think much of the place. Food appears to be pretty stale and not freshly made and the juices sickeningly dense with no real flavour.IMHO Not worth the bother as there are other better places available .

We visited 10/11/24. Yes it is expensive due to the beautiful location, & as we have visited many times before it is of no surprise. However, we were surprised to see so many tables available inside & out considering it was a Sunday. I ordered drinks, & the order was accepted by unenthusiastic staff. Having not experienced that before, i was surprised. In addition to that, their own brewed ale was not available. Pumps of their own ale turned round, offering not so local ale which was really concerning, considering they are a brewery. Next concern was a staff member coming out trying to hide her tears. She was clearly upset, & a few minutes later, she was seen to leave the pub. Food was ok...clearly microwaved, but tasty. Easy to do a Yorkshire pudding but not so it appeared as minus the air. Desert was Pecan tart & I am guessing this was not homemade as it was good. Would I recommend here...yes at this moment for drinks. Would I return yes...but if only management take a good hard look of what they offered before, & what is offered now. I do hope they look at the reviews & take stock of what needs to be done. It really is a reality check, as each time we have visited, the service & food standards are clearly in decline. Management..please take stock & listen to those who want to return.

For a restaurant/bar that should be an absolute gold mine and must return venue because of its location... It was nothing more than a very expensive greasy spoon cafe! Because of its location, I'm sure it makes a bloody fortune whether people like it or not as unsuspecting walkers, campers and sight seeing folk which unwittingly find themselves hopful of something good. Sadly the food was overpriced foul fodder in a cateen style, greasy spoon cafe setting. The camp site and position are just stunning, which will bring us back...the Man of War restaurant will not! Awful !

We spent an absolutely lovely hour at The Dolls House at Lulworth Cove. We were first tempted by the ice creams which surely must be the best in Lulworth Cove. Delightfully served by Zac and Nate I had a scrumptious cone with a generous dollop of strawberry and similar of honeycomb. My two friends had other delicious flavours. There’s ample and comfortable seating under large umbrellas so we sat and enjoyed the moment. We loved the ambiance so much that we stayed for tea and coffees. I really recommend The Dolls House. It has a great menu and lovely staff to look after you.
