I’m genuinely astonished that The Corner House in Worthing manages to function as a restaurant and not as an elaborate prank show. I visited expecting a meal, but what I got was a masterclass in how not to cook. Let’s start with the meat, or rather, the medically alarming slab of undercooked protein that slithered onto my plate. If I wanted something still mooing, I’d have gone to a petting zoo. Then there were the Yorkshire puddings: charred into oblivion, they resembled fossilized relics from an archeological dig rather than anything fit for human consumption. The vegetables? Crunchier than a bag of gravel. And as for the cauliflower cheese—bitter, cold, and suspiciously hard—it felt like an avant-garde experiment in how many ways you can disrespect a vegetable. I’ve had better textures from airplane food, and that’s saying something. Honestly, my grandmother could’ve cooked a better meal, and she’s been dead for 30 years. In fact, if she’d clawed her way out of the grave to make this dinner, it still wouldn’t have been as horrifying as what your kitchen served us. I strongly suggest you fire whoever’s responsible for this culinary tragedy or at least send them back to whatever dark corner of YouTube they learned these “skills” from. Do better. Or just stop.

I had 17 minutes before my bus was due. Service was quick, I only waited a couple of minutes and my mushroom toastie was hot and tasty. I was offered a side salad, but I declined because I was pushed for time. The lady behind the till was pleasant and brought my tray over for me (I have a fractured ankle and crutches) which was much appreciated, and I made it in plenty of time for my bus!

If I could rate 0 as an option I would! DONT USE THEM! DONT BOOK!!!! They’ve taken my deposit money for karaoke, this was in February! We paid for a taxi all the way to Worthing which was cheap and going home again was even more expensive, walked round to them and it’s derelict! I’ve sent a direct email, facebooked them, phoned them. No responses. Def taking peoples money!!! All I can say is I’m glad I didn’t book 3 hours in advance. Melon I’ve emailed you already please contact me for my refund!

Random day out in Worthing on a cold February day with my elderly mother. Great service by the staff .. especially Megan who when ask to change the big talk hot chocolate glass for a regular cup and then was asked for a glass of water so my mother could take her medicine did so with a smile and no hesitation.. a credit to herself and Costa . Thank you for making the tricky things easy and with no fuss

Great venue. Fun bar staff and tasty drinks. Loved the decor too, very aesthetic and good for pics for insta! 📸 The only downside was the music was rather loud considering the amount of people in the venue when we entered at 7:30pm. However it got busier throughout the night and the music volume seemed normal for a bar.

A large group of us booked a table for food and drink. The staff were helpful and went out their way to ensure everything went smoothly. Cocktails were excellent, a large offering with drinks made to a decent standard. Food was sub par, no seasoning, lack of flavour, dry. Something then could absolutely improve upon with some small tweaks, I understand they have a small kitchen which may contribute to this but food should be improved to match drinks.

We visited this bar with a large group the day before our wedding. The service was excellent! Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating for such a large group, and the food and drinks were excellent too!

Dreadful lunch. Cappuccino, hardly any froth on top and slopped all over the cup and saucer. Sandwich was so small for a lat of money. Will not be going to this cafe ever again.

Popped in for dinner whilst on holiday. We’d tried the sister Cow Shed previously and really enjoyed it. This was a more traditional pub environment. It wasn’t particularly busy, so was rather quiet, but that wasn’t a problem. Liked the selection of games on offer which was good for keeping us occupied while we waited for food. The food was fairly standard decent pub grub. Dog friendly too which was an added bonus.

Probably the dirtiest cafe I have been in since eating in the jungle of Thailand 40 years ago. Filthy kitchen, plates, cups, and spoons. My partner and I had a flat white and a cappuccino both of which arrived looking exactly the same in filthy cups delivered by the filthy-looking owner. Eclectic it may be, filthy it definitely is.

Ordered a delivery, arrived 70 mins after promised time. Phone always busy, when I eventually got through they were very abrupt and not apologetic

Really nice coffee and food, it has a good atmosphere, the staff are friendly. Plus there’s a loyalty scheme for free drinks

Coffee lovely and nice staff in cafe but scrambled eggs disgusting, it appeared in 30 seconds and gave me an upset tummy.

A good pub with lots of outdoor seating and sea views. Found the drinks are good, not silly prices, nice people working here and great music 🎶
