Fab pub great drinks selection and fab outside and inside space. There was a Latin style band playing on our visit and folk were up dancing and really enjoying themselves.

Amazing Sunday roast and really lovely staff

The 2 bar staff were very friendly, polite and professional, made our visit with a dog very welcome. Food was nice and has a great variety with a modern twist. Sirloin steak could do with more cooking at high heat on the outside and on the fatty part to give it more flavour of flame grill. Both deep fried wings and cauliflower could do with double frying before serving for the more crispy batter. Cocktails are strong, not weak like most modern restaurant nowadays. Overall, a lovely dog friendly pub that I would recommend and will visit again and hope to try their Sunday roast.

My sister has come here many times with her husband but he's poorly at the moment. We took my sister here to treat her and spend quality time with her. The staff were absolutely amazing. Kind, efficient, great service. Gave our dog a cuddle and treats. The food was really lovely. I had the vegetarian dish and my sister had chicken and my husband had beef. Really enjoyed our meals. Drinks were good too. Highly recommend this pub wonderful atmosphere. Thanks to everyone making it so lovely for us.

We have been here before about a year ago then food was 100%….service was 100%……Now unfortunately gone down a lot roar beef was tough service was well there’s your dinners( is everything ok with your meals) Not there just walked past no great customer experience New York cheesecake 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱 took a while to come out it was not as advertised sloppy topping runny not a New York cheesecake maybe redo menu or be honest you run out and have had to rustle up a substitute not good was look forward to returning after out last visit but this was definitely our last visit

Had a nice roast lunch in the lovely garden. Service was excellent, food good, nice vibe in well presented surroundings.

A lot of good reviews for the Sunday roast - the problem was the beef was very tough and the broccoli 🥦 was rock hard ! Lamb was from one of those rolled joints not great. The rest was nice but the meat is the most important and it was disappointing. Was surprised that pork wasn’t on the menu.

We were a family of 6 who came for the Sunday Roast . Portion sizes were great but the meal itself was almost inedible. Vegetables were barely cooked and the roast beef was very difficult to cut never mind swallow. I thought I was going to need the medical assistance as the beef stuck in my throat!!! We were all of the same opinion regarding how tough the meat was . Needless to say it was very disappointing as it looked good . It certainly was not the £200 bill .

First time there with friends ..lovely fish n chips and what a beautiful garden..you think because its on the corner there's no garden..but wow! Its like walking into the tardis! Loved it! Will definitely be back!

We were visiting Worthing and spotted this really handsome pub so popped in on Monday evening with our family and young dog. We had a brilliant night and even managed to take part in the very popular quiz night. The quiz compare clearly loves what he does and over a period of two hours we had a great variety of questions. It was really fun. The other standout for us was how lovely the staff were with our young dog who isn’t used to being in pubs but the staff gave her lots of strokes and treats . We will definitely be back.

We've been going in there for some time now. It's usually very good. However last night ruined it. They had the music on too loud it was really off-putting. I asked for them to turn it down a bit, the management refused I'm sure we're the most regular in there, we won't be going back again

Friendly service, excellent food. Our friends had a puppy with them and the staff made a fuss of the dog, offered a biscuit. We were also made to feel very welcome! Heated outside seating. I will definitely return.

Fantastic service! Fantastic roast! It is a breath of fresh air to get great service these days and after popping our heads in to see if they were still doing roasts they said their kitchen had just closed, however they checked with the chef and she said she would be happy to whip us one up! The staff here are super friendly, very accommodating to us and our pooch, who also got treats, cuddles and a cheeky sausage. Great little place, this. Different types of craft beers, not your usual run-of-the-mill cobblers. Had a delicious session IPA. Quick and friendly service. Excellent beer garden!

We had a couple of visits here on our weekend stay. Ordered the chicken wings the first night, and they were really good with lots of flavour. We also loved the chips and onion rings. We went again for a roast on Sunday and it was the best roast I have had in a pub. Really nice lamb, thick gravy, and veg was tasty. Drinks were reasonably priced and the staff were friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Just had the Smokey bacon cheeseburger from here and it was one of the most phenomenal and tasty burger I’ve ever had. Will be telling everyone one I know to come her to try it and will definitely be returning!

Disappointing Sunday Roast. I’m sad to say this as I have been coming to this pub the last 3 years, and I always loved the Sunday Roasts, which many people say are the best in town. We met up with friends who are new to Worthing as we wanted them to have a good experience. This weekend I chose the vegan parcel, as did my friend with dietary needs. The menu said it was gluten free, but it turned out that wasn’t accurate. She was given the contents of the parcel minus the pastry along with the veg, which was minuscule. She was initially offered falafels to make up for it, but then it turned out they were out, and so they offered her a small bowl with more contents. This looked like a small cup of lentil soup. After complaining she eventually got extra roasted potatoes. However, I can say she wasn’t missing much though. I found the parcel to be pathetically small, bland and unappealing. There wasn’t much veg, all of which was undercooked and unseasoned, and the cauliflower cheese was cold, hard and a bit sour. The stuffing balls were dry and lacked any flavour. Two of our party had their orders mixed up, and were given the wrong cuts of meat. They didn’t charge my friend for her sad vegan meal, and they did give an extra portion of beef when the meat mix up was spotted. At the end I left feeling embarrassed for taking my friends there, still hungry, and annoyed at having paid £30 for a lunch and feeling the only decent thing was my glass of wine. Sadly I think I’ll only be back for the atmosphere and a drink in future.

Lovely pub with excellent service and range of beers. Food was disappointing unfortunately, for the price I paid didn't expect frozen veggies and pre-made mash with the pie. Sunday roasts I'm told are very good though.

I ordered the blue cheese burger and a lemonade with lime and angostura bitters. The burger was spectacular, the beer garden was great and the guy who served me was fantastic - very patient whilst my card was repeatedly declined. In the end my friend paid. Regardless, great pub, great food and great service.

I'm giving you five stars, but could you please fix the tap in the basin in the men's toilet so that it runs for more than three seconds. It's really annoying. Can't wash your hands properly.

Nice cosy pub with character. Outside seating area with heater/lights on timers so as to not waste electric.

Highly recommended amazing place on all aspects once you are around in Worthing. Worth also mentioning that my first time trying fish and chips was at CH during my one day visit for my relatives over there. Keep it up guys

Dropped in as part of the Worthing TTO, the staff were farblioust, and the beer even better. Not normally on my Worthing list, but will try and pop in henceforth. Great fun.

Had a roast dinner was really lovely apart from the brocoli and cauliflower cheese which was hard as not cooked long enough. Staff and service was very good nice atmosphere.

We had a family lunch here and the food was great. Both of the guys behind the bar were very friendly and helpful. Definitely returning.

Great pub! Lovely decor, great sound track in the background, chilled atmosphere and very clean. Didn't eat but food looks great from previous reviews. Outdoor space front and back. Chap behind the bar, young bearded guy was very polite and professional. Definitely worth a visit if looking for food or just a drink in Worthington.

Met friends for lunch and drinks. Beautiful place, great music, day time customer service beyond poor. To say the staff member I spoke to about my inedible "fish finger" sandwich was disappointing would be an understatement. She was rude, arrogant and tried to completely belittle me. I have never seen a cylindrical fish finger in my life let alone tasted one that bad. I told her whatever fish it was inside was like mush and asked what fish it was - i was told it was a fish finger!!! Eventually she asked the chef and the response was cod - definetly not a Birds Eyes fish finger then 😂😂 I was asked if I wanted something else so I asked for chips. I wasn't even offered a drink to make up for the 10 quid I'd paid for the sandwich and a handful of chips, in actual fact she didn't even try to apologise!! I couldn't trust myself to talk to her anymore about it because by this point she'd got my back up to the point i would have been in the wrong if we had continued this conversation. HOWEVER, the late afternoon, early evening shift took over and it was a totally different gaff. Service was served with a please and a thank you, our table was cleared of glasses for the first time and the staff were way more friendly and did their job with a smile. Moral of the story - lovely place for an evening drink but avoid the "fish finger" sandwiches!!!

Great atmosphere on a Friday evening

Had a brilliant evening with friends at the Corner House. First time I'd been there and it didn't disappoint! Food was great, staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

It's the best pub in Worthing and has been for some time. Loads of seats both inside and out. Great range of drinks and well kept beer. Very friendly staff.

Only trying to find new local, £5.90 a pint, EXPENSIVE? Food looked great from what I could see being served, and smelt great. Staff were friendly and accommodating, Hungarian barmaid was great.

Great bangers and mash (with no cheese in the mash - yippee!), full on burger and a couple of pints of Guinness - lovely. Christmas party time, so rocking too.

Booked a couple of Sundays ago- however booking lost . Arrived and the team here managed to fit 2 of us in for Sunday lunch . Have been been many times and this place always delivers - excellent food , great atmosphere and amazing staff . Thank you .

Great food, lovely young lady served us although an unfortunate misunderstanding which the manager dealt with badly, accusing my friend of lying. All over chips, left us with a bad taste.

First time visiting here to celebrate my brother in laws birthday and it was fantastic! The roast (lamb) was outstanding and probably the best roast I've ever had! The staff were very friendly and attentive too! Having travelled from Hove, it wouldn't have been a venue on my list due to distance, however we will be back for sure!

Got huffed at by waitress . Maybe our fault as we weren't ready to order 3 times when asked

Sat down and had a few drinks, waited for the waiters to come over to take our food order for a while longer and wondered why they hadn't come.. which lead me to go to the bar and they told us you have to order at the bar.. they could of told us when we arrived and asked for a table for food, however once food arrive it was lovely!

Went on a whim, First impressions cool vibe and nice decor. Open mic night by chance which was a bonus Just one complaint.. Insufficient staff with two lovely girls struggling to do everything on a busy evening When it became apparent our food wasnt coming any time soon, I went to see what the delay was and one of the just two staff simply directed me to a pile of pizza boxes on a table across the room and said to take mine, adding she had just got busy ! Cold pizza never quite does it for me and less so when with a coke and two small house wines Im charged almost £60 Disappointed but will go again in hope this was a one off

What a fantastic place the staff were all top class, we have been there a few times now and always been looked after superbly , my wife and I ordered a Sunday roast WOW! if you have not tried the corner house roast I would highly suggest you do but you need to book it as it is very popular, the bar and drinks also superb and a lovely outside garden , thank you all for looking after us both so well

A good pub in the centre of Worthing. A good courtyard style garden at the rear and site with good seating and outdoor heaters. Seems to be popular but not overcrowded. I have visited this pub a few times and will definitely return again very soon.

I normally love this establishment but we went for a roast today , we were very dissatisfied. To be honest it was shocking , I chose the beef it had sinew that made it hard to cut with a lot of the vessels visible . The vegetables were not al dente but raw . We eat out a lot on Sundays for a treat but will not be going back .

I haven't been here for a long time, fondly remember it as the jack horner. Went tonight and it was super busy, but what did I expect for a Friday night?! The staff were super friendly and as accommodating as they could be in a packed place. But the number of people spoke for itself. The drinks menu was vast and the food was divine. I had pie of the day and it was a huge portion, great value for money. The chocolate brownie didn't disappoint either. As said previously, great location for a pub crawl, but also lovely for a meal out. Very versatile. The garden is a firm fave spot for a cold beverage and beautiful surroundings 🥰

Great place to have a traditional Sunday roast but other food is on offer and is very good.

4th time here in a week and I was rudely asked to remove my daughter's bottle of coca cola from the table that I had bought elsewhere that was obviously closed and in the corner but didn't want to leave on the floor!

We popped in for a drink and decided on getting some food and we wasn't disappointed...it was gorgeous....amazing staff and will definately be back soon ♥️

I think the chef has lost his knife, BLT sandwich on granary served on two whole pieces of bread 🤣 A bit of a side salad wouldn’t go a miss, especially when you’re paying £7.95

Incredible vegan roast dinner. Vegan Wellington = perfection Would have liked a few more roast potatoes and more gravy (had to ask for more of both, potatoes we had to pay for but they weren’t very much) Shame they had run out of the vegan brownie so we didn’t have dessert. Great staff and great food

Great old pub serving amazing German beers. The 0% Bitburger was a revelation and the normal Bitburger was fantastic. The sausage sandwich was delicious and served with a very nice chutney and a wonderful side salad. Service was cheerful and quick. Lovely stuff.

Had to wait a long time for food and although some of the food was very good The Pie of the day was disgusting.

Had calamari with what tasted like a cheap BBQ sauce, more batter than calamari! Sesame chicken wings with very unpleasant thick blue cheese sauce. Be unpleasant

Great atmosphere with a good range of drinks and food, I'll definitely be returning. The outdoor area is beautiful too, we managed to sit outside in a storm and keep warm and dry under the covered area with heaters.

I was looking for somewhere to bring my 90 year old father for lunch - this place was close to his care home in Worthing so we thought we'd give it a go. Really nice atmosphere - fire was lit which was lovely. Staff were an absolute delight - my father has early dementia - the staff could not have been kinder or more patient with him. Ebenezer was main waiter although we interacted with a few staff. All of them were utterly charming helpful and pleasant to deal with - Ebenezer is an absolute star. The Sunday roast was excellent. Good quality and huge plates - such that we had no room for pudding. Really nicely done - beef was perfect, veg was properly cooked and the chicken was excellent. It was a lovely lunch and really good value. We will definately come back here for Sunday lunch. Well worth a visit. Staff first rate.

Choose to have vegetarian mushroom Wellington....it didn't disappoint. Full of flavour. Very filling needed a walk down on Worthing beach and along the pier after. Good value for money. Service very good.

We arrived on spec on Sunday 26th Feb - no tables inside but garden tables available and we decided to give it a go. When we ordered (at 15:15) we found that the beef had run out - disappointing but given it was busy was not too concerned. At 15:50 we asked where the food was to be told that 'its being plated now' - at 16:00 went in again to demand our money back - manager spoke to the bar staff and then headed off to the kitchen (never saw her again, and she never spoke to us at all). While the staff was organising the refund the food was delivered. As I say the food was OK (although we had to eat fairly quickly as the outside heating is general and a bit naff tbh). No one apologised for the very long delay in food delivery - neither did they explain why the table next to us that ordered within a few minutes of us, received their food, ate and left before ours had been delivered. Its the lack of customer care thats made me write this review - ie the fact that there was none. At one point (I think when we chased the food at 15:50) we were told that the kitchen was short staffed, we should have been told when we enquired about a table. I doubt if we will go back.
