I brought along a group of staff and students from Surrey Maths School for an informal social session, to help the students get to know one another and build their community. The Hideaway was perfect! We booked the meeting room so we had enough privacy but were also able to enjoy the lovely cafe area as well as the beautiful outdoor spaces. The food and drinks were delicious; several of the students discovered the smoothies and raved about them! The atmosphere was warm, friendly and welcoming, and we couldn't be happier that we chose The Hideaway for this important event in our school calendar. We will definitely be back & in the meantime, THANK YOU to Leah & the Hideaway team for making our afternoon so special.

Great little vegan cafe / lunch spot. Had an amazing black bean and pickle burger served on a ciabatta bread. Nice wedges with rosemary on the side and a delicious smoothie. Lovely family business as well. Would definitely recommend, not just for vegans.

nuggets were good. BUT!! I spent £4 for 9 nuggets!! so disappointed. Do better.! I am so sad that I wasted my money.!!!!!!

We walk in Norbury Park most weeks starting at Crabtree Lane in Great Bookham. We usually aim to stop for a coffee at the van called Wild About Coffee which is located by the now sadly closed Saw Mill. It a great place to meet other walkers many with dogs. The service is welcoming. We pay by credit card.

M&R have widened their food offerings with the addition of hot and cold breakfast and lunch. Today I had a jacket potato with butter chicken and coleslaw. The potato had been properly oven baked and the butter chicken was very tasty. Coleslaw made an excellent side. All for £7.00. New menu board attached. Coffee and cakes continue to be top class.

Warm place for a reviving lunch on a cold December day! Very friendly and efficient service, and tasty food.... three of us had the mushroom and thyme soup and it was really good. Panini also much-enjoyed, and good coffee. Nice clean facilities, too, with plenty of hot water. Only quibble....I appreciate this is a dog-friendly venue, as it's right by a very popular area for dog-walking, and whilst all the dogs in the cafe were very well-behaved, one owner was letting her Daschund stand on the seat meant for humans! I think this should be flagged up as a 'No no!' for diners, please!

Celebrated my sons birthday with his friends, good laugh with staff, met bear the friendly giant dog. Would recommend, lovely family run bar, outside area too, lovely decorated Xmas cheer.

We love this place, concentrated but perfectly tailored wine menu and a great shop too. Service is outstanding and the staff are very knowledgeable, the only gripe would be the toilets. They don't live up to the rest of the bar/shop and do need a little bit of investment, they were in a pretty bad state.

I ordered a take away cake on the Saturday. It was sooo dry. Must have been on the shelf for days. You just can’t charge over £4 for a dry cake!!!😠 I always try to support the independent shops, cafes and retailers but standards do need to meet a basic minimum.

Wow. What a difference in a year since our last visit which was horrible. The new owner Don, since September 2024, has made this pub very warm and welcoming. It's a lovely atmosphere and we will definitely be back. (Tomorrow).. We've not tried any food yet but will do in the near future.
