I am not sure that I want to write a review for Canopy because once you read it I may not be able to get in to have my coffee. Canopy is small as coffee shops go but, as they say, the best things do come in small packages. It has, without doubt, the best coffee in Guildford - whatever your preference. I love a deconstructed mocha - a beautiful dark hot chocolate with an espresso chaser. I ask for it extra hot and it comes extra hot - something that other coffee shops have trouble doing. The staff are also uber friendly and always willing to chat not just about coffee - although that is fun. It has a community vibe and they know their regulars. So don't dally, treat yourself to a Canopy coffee - just don't go when I want to!

Without question, the best flat white in Guildford and I have yet to find anything better in my travels as FlatWhitePhil! Their secret is in the high quality beans and the care taken to prepare each drink. Nice vibe and friendly staff! Handy little hatch outside to order takeaway drinks and food.

Wow what a cafe! Canopy coffee provided the wedding breakfast for my daughter, bridesmaids and all involved . Ordering it was SO easy with excellent suggestions of what would be lovely and practical to have and also what would keep and for how long if we had any leftover! Amazing food, good cost and a fantastic service! Thank you. X

Came here for the speciality coffee and I've been a bit disappointed, I'm not sure that barista was doing his training while at the job but definitely one of the basic rules I specifically coffee is that coffee should not be to hot to drink it straight away. Apart from that, I've been pleasantly surprised by the selection of vegan cakes.

The food is great and absolutely love the aussie culture, Jackie is a great owner who is always friendly and outgoing with both her customers and employees. The coffee is of course the best part about Canopy with a very nice everyday blend, and all staff are so welcoming and friendly.

As for the coffee, I always like mine prepared a little differently than most, and they never fail to deliver an amazing taste every time. What truly makes this café special is the friendly and welcoming team. Today, in particular, I was impressed by Bogdan, a kind Ukrainian barista who has been working here for a while. His warm service and attention to detail finally inspired me to leave a well-deserved positive review and write a few kind words about this wonderful place. You guys are doing an outstanding job, and I wholeheartedly recommend this café to anyone looking for a cozy spot with great service. Wishing you all continued success—keep up the fantastic work!

Such a great coffee shop. My husband is a coffee snob and highly recommends the authentic and variety of coffee here. The people were very friendly as well. Only lost a star because there really isn't any seating (I understand it is limited to their space) but great idea to have two ordering stations to keep the shop from overcrowding. Wish there was one closer to us!

I had a sandwich and a tea and it was my second visit. My first visit with my wife was very nice and I chose to go back as I liked the food. I am 74 Years old male and after I finished my sandwich and tea I settled the bill and asked the ladies behind the counter if I can use the bathroom, planning to wash my hand and see if I needed the toilet. Considering two ladies setting next to me on the table opposite visited the toiled and both were happily ushered by the staff to use the toilet, I was alarmed that I was told that I cannot use the toilet and to go to Waitrose across the road as they have a toilet. I didn’t know what to make of it. Is it my age, my gender, my colour or what was it? I didn’t make a fuss and left looking to go to Waitrose to use their facility. At home I shared my experience with my wife and she was outraged that they turned my request down and said she would have spoken to the manager as they should not turn an old customer down regardless for reason. The next morning I passed by the place and I asked to speak to the manager but I was told that she was not in. I explained to the young man behind the counter what happened the previous day. He was apologetic but alarmingly told me that the two ladies before me must have been regular customers and they thought I was just a one off visitor. It was a lame excuse and I told him that not only they lost my custom, I will share my experience with others and I do not want another old person sharing my experience regardless of race, gender or not being a regular.

Stopped by for a quick cortado, and it didn’t disappoint! The coffee was well made with good quality beans, smooth and full of flavor. What made it even better was the lovely chat with Michelle and Nicolas; their warmth and friendliness added such a nice touch to the experience. If I’m ever in Guildford again, this place will definitely be on my list!

Some of the best speciality coffee in Surrey. Skylark beans are great and the coffee is brewed to a high standard. Shop is quite small so cant always get a seat. Service is also not the snappiest but always friendly

The best coffee in Guildford - by a mile. No matter if it's winter or summer, it's a great sun trap, and i love to sit on outside benches. I have my coffee and people watch! Smoothies are also delicious. Lots of vegan offerings for cake! Toasties are delicious, a little pricey, but normal for the area, I guess.

Canopy have the very best espresso in Guildford. The staff are also very engaging and friendly. Today I had a BLT in a brioche roll made to order for me by the lovely Michelle. The food and cake selection is amazing.

We had a lovely time visiting Canopy Coffee. The smoothies were great, and the toasties were perfect for our lunch stop. Staff were friendly and definitely recommended.

Hands down the best coffee in Guildford. They brew (and sell) Skylark coffee which is fantastic and has a great company ethic. Tasty bites too, especially the rosemary millionaires. As well as serving the best coffee, they also have the most friendly staff who have a brilliant welcome for regulars and newcomers everytime.

Favourite spot in Guildford. The guys at Canopy are just great. They promote everything a good coffee shop should be. A welcoming community space, with great conversations, tasty coffee and a brilliant and diverse offering of sweet treats and tasty toasties. There are gluten free options available which is a big bonus for me, and the atmosphere is always as great as their coffee is. Jackie, Caleb, Michelle and the rest of the team will always have my support. See you soon guys!

Lovely coffee, great cakes and really good toasted sandwiches. I particularly like the Reuben. This is a tiny little coffee shop with a couple of tables so don't expect to seat a group!

Best coffee I have had in my opinion, have an oat cappuccino every day. Staff are lovely too we always have a laugh.

Use to love this coffee but on last 3 occasions coffee standard has dropped alot. They use one of the best roasters in the country but coffee lately taste like just warm milk with not enough espresso in.

Great cafe, albeit quite small but I think that's part of the charm. The Ham Hock toastie was one of the best.

Poor experience. Staff were slow to react to us but also loud and called across the shop making our conversation tricky. Tables were not cleared and were not wiped that well when we asked. Smoothies were good but not large. They got the order wrong. Cakes looked very gd but we did not try. I will not be back.

This place is a bit of a little gem! We popped in here for coffee and some lunch and really enjoyed it. The coffee was great and we had the ham hock cheese toasty which was really tasty. Just sitting in here for 30 mins or so we noticed the staff chatting away to countless locals which is always a good sign of a friendly coffee shop. We will definitely be coming here again.

Always a warm welcome, and good coffee and cakes to boot. The staff are human, and will chat with you, and if something isn't quite up to scratch, if you tell them, they will do their utmost to fix it. The one time I did have a coffee that was just too bitter (it was the first one of the day), they adjusted the settings and made a fresh one for me.

Great place to grab coffee on your way to work. Also nice selection of food, with great people working here.

Searched out for a Sunday coffee. Delicious coffee, friendly staff, perfect to while away dine time. We didn’t eat but the menu looked good with reasonable prices, will return.

All the staff at Canopy are really lovely. One of the nicest cafes we've visited in Guildford so far, there's such a lovely vibe inside. Food and pastries are so tasty and the coffee is great too! Definitely not one to miss

Amazing coffee and carrot cake.

Probably the best coffee place in Guildford - Actually good coffee, very decent decaf too which is always a good sign. Cakes are delicious - The toasties are ridiculous (The New Yorker Reuben is my absolute fave!). Importantly, the staff are authentic, knowledgeable and super friendly.

We love the house coffee served here, and enjoyed a really well prepared flat white today. Their range of toasties is small, but excellent. We had a great New York Reuben and a vegetarian flat bread (falafel in the filling tasty, and not dry and heavy as can so often be the case). The range of cakes is tasty, with some interesting variations from the expected norms (including some Australian home favourites from the proprietor). Only a few places to sit in this small site so don't necessarily expect to get a seat, but always a good take away option if that suits you.

Fantastic coffee and cake, a lovely little coffee shop. This would get 5 stars but the owner/manager shouts incredibly loudly during normal conversation, and this makes it so difficult to sit in and enjoy our drinks. My daughter has a sensory processing issue and really struggles to cope with the sudden bursts of volume at times.

Excellent service, lovely people, great selection of cakes and drinks. Stop in and have a drink, or go by the takeaway window, it’s a lovely place and I’m glad I live so close by!

I have been coming to Canopy Coffee for years. It has always been one of the best locally for quality coffee. After the sale to the new Aussie owner it took a short but dramatic dip in quality but has bounced back to the same standard as before…and more. I was skeptical about the change to Skylark coffee but the baristas seem to be getting the best out of the beans. Espresso and Filter blends are brilliant and the constant rotation is a nice way to explore different beans. Cakes continue to be one of the best, I highly recommend the orange and Almond slice. Toasties are awesome which is a nice addition to this cafe. There is very little to improve. As long as the baristas remain the same standard this is the place for Coffee in Surrey.

Cosy small coffee stop. I ducked in between meetings : had a quick sandwich and excellent coffee, great music, friendly staff. Nice tiny place to sit and do a bit of work on the go or grab a coffee if shopping at waitrose.
