First time visiting today. Warmly welcomed and shown directly to outer table for 7. Excellent, friendly service from young staff. Sunday roasts all round. Generous portions and all tasted great. One of the better pub roasts I've had. They do a smaller roast which is still a good size. Highly recommended.

Well, where do i start. We arrived at 7:20pm for our 8pm table for our 2 window seat as previously requested, having recieved a confirmation email 24hrs previously inviting us to enjoy a pre dinner cocktail in the bar. Bar was shut. Left to have drink in local pub Dog & Duck (recommended). Returned to our table (away from window) at 7:55pm to find the restaurant about half full. Ordered the £40 Rose and requested 2 x mains almost immediately, waitress returns 5 mins later to say there was a 30m wait for food. This was probably due to the 20 odd people sitting at the bench seating next to us. Needless to say we did not fancy the 1/2hr+ wait for 2 mains & left, cancelling the wine. Suggestions for the management; 1. Tell customers the bar is shut, not open 24hrs before. 2.Tell the customer there is a 1/2 wait for food apon arrival ( they tell you that in pubs). 3. Don’t take massive block bookings at the cost of other customers. 4. If you do, food must be pre ordered from online menu with deposit taken. 5. If you can’t do that, make sure you have enough staff to work the kitchen. Needless to say we shall not be returning as we do not want special treatment. I did not even mention it was my wife’s Birthday apon making the original booking.

Good Choice of food which was tasty! I was Disappointed that the "Only" fish (& chips) that was available was Cod; as this place came up as a "fish & chips" restaurant in Google Maps! I had the Thick Nutella Milk Shake. It was Delicious!! Friendly Staff. Was busy for a Tuesday afternoon!

Having been to the Partridge several times and really enjoyed it I was extremely disappointed when I suggested that my 3 sisters and I should go there for lunch in the pretty garden. When we were all together we ordered, two starters of bread and olives and various hot main courses. After an hour we asked where our food was. The starter turned up about 10 minutes later. We then had to inquire about the main course. We were told the main course had been ready when we had asked about the starter! The staff were extremely apologetic and explained that they had lost both their chefs. When our food did arrive it was rather dried up and unappetising. It was very unfortunate that they had lost their kitchen staff, but if they had explained this when we arrived things may have gone a lot better.

Loved it here. Food was so good. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Jen greeted us with a lovely warm smile and was so helpful. The atmosphere is really nice and it’s lovely clean and tidy. Staff are around clearing and asking if all is ok.

Whilst we can not fault the warmth and friendliness of the staff, the food was very disappointing. We went here after reading the reviews for a special birthday celebration. The starter of scallops was mainly green salad with 3 very small hard to find scallops. The roast beef came with 3 hard to eat roast potatoes, green beans and broccoli with stems and ends still attached, the smallest Yorkshire pudding I have ever seen and a very wet cauliflower cheese. For the price of £45 per head for the roast and £17 for the scallop starter, this is not what I expect and we will not be returning or recommending friends and family. So disappointed 😡.

I visited last Saturday I wanted to treat my daughter to a nice breakfast, I’ve visited previously so was a returning customer. The place wasn’t packed and there were a lot of tables still free, when greeted I was asked to sit almost next/almost on top of other people, the tables of 2 are very close together and you can’t have a private conversation. so I requested we sat on a different table but was told we wasn’t allowed as it could get busy. Ordered a breakfast and poached eggs on toast, originally our breakfast was taken to a wrong table and the waitress wasn’t overly warm or welcoming. The breakfast was lovely but the poached eggs were hard. This isn’t a big complaint but when we left, the tables I asked to sit at were still free. It cost £35 for breakfast and 2 coffees which is fine but for that price please make sure the eggs are cooked properly and allow people to have a choice on where they sit.

We had lunch for my husbands birthday yesterday, thank you so much it was a perfect celebration. We sat outside in pretty court yard which was quiet and weather great which helps. I ordered from the summer menu and my husband had the steak, it was a delicious meal, the staff were welcoming and service very good. We then enjoyed the garden and were given a tour by the full time gardener, who was so passionate about the garden, and it helped to make our day. A great birthday, above expectation which is always special, as we had not been to the Mill Stream before, but will definitely return. Thank you staff.

Went for QuizSing yesterday and it was absolutely popping! Friends had said how good it was and I wasn’t disappointed (other than losing the quiz haha) but it stayed really busy throughout! Karaoke was none stop after too! Will 100% be returning!
