The Grazing Rooms in Chichester

one of the best meals out ive ever had! i picked some meat from the butchers counter to be cooked on their grill, the steak was cooked perfectly, the chicken was delicious and the side dished were amazing, my wife had the fish and chips and she was equally impressed, not a big vegetarian selection, but screw them, this is a big meat place and i love it!

We really liked it here. Lovely and relaxed with some really nice food. Cheese soufflé was amazing, best starter I’ve ever had? Very possibly? Superb. Duck Rillete was also really good. I had Vension Bourguinon which was very nice. I know this sounds stupid but it did not have the richness of its beef cousin. Still very very good. I think a fiver for a side of veg is a bit naughty but hey they did not hide it and they were nice. The only minor gripe we had was my wife had the Venison haunch steak. It was served on a ropey old bent up baking tray on top of paper. Now this old tray was so bent up that when you cut into the anything the tray was moving all over the place. Once you cut it you cut into the paper. It was quite funny but I am at a loss as to why you cheapen a really good dish and serve it this way? Yeh yeh fashion and all that but a poor way to serve this food. That’s a little Moan because the steak (without paper ha ha ) was superb. My wife loved it. I have to say the place itself is superb as are the staff. We will 100% return and try other dishes. Not starters though because of that soufflé. WOW. They also had some great music from Mama Funk who sang some well chosen soul classics. Worked so well in that environment. Thanks

I recently visited Sky Park Farm Restaurant & Cafe, and I’m honestly shocked at how much it has declined. I had a great experience here just a few months ago, but today was the complete opposite. The service was terrible – I've never encountered a manager with so little regard for customer service. The place was an absolute mess, with tables covered in dirty plates and cups and a floor that hadn’t been cleaned in ages. It looked like no one was even trying to keep up. As for the food, it was just as disappointing. The quality was far below what I remembered, and I can only say the head chef should feel embarrassed serving dishes like this. It’s not worth the drive or the cost, and I’d suggest others think twice before making the trip. An overall terrible experience – I won’t be back until things improve drastically.

Me and my girlfriend went here for our anniversary, as soon as we walked in we were greeted with friendly faces and live music, they atmosphere was lovely and the food was incredible, the option to pick your meat from the butchers is really unique and the meat was incredible, thank you!

A very nice restaurant with a good layout and atmosphere. A group of very friendly and professional staff. Near the deer farm and a very good location for food after the day activities. The non cocktails and the food’s presentation were brilliant. The food price is very reasonable by considering the quality, services and presentation. The chips there is so different (crispy outside and tasty inside), is certainly one of my favourite things there. The portion size is good, the menu offers good but different varieties. Only minor thing for us is the venison shoulder was tasty but a bit dried outside. But we certainly want to go back again and try the rib eye steak next time.

Went for breakfast , wandered around the deli , cheese counter and butchers when we arrived and chatted to very friendly and knowledgeable staff then was shown to a table . Both ordered breakfast which was one of the best I’ve had (also saw scrambled eggs on toast and proper doorstop sandwiches which looked excellent) The restaurant is clean, bright and has a lovely atmosphere . Our first visit, actually wanted to check out the farm shop & decided to stay for breakfast. Pleasant greeting, lovely clean restaurant with flowers on each table that were actually charming rather than the half dead offerings other venues provide. Breakfast was excellent with the black pudding being some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Good price for the portion size and quality of the food. Hopefully we can visit for lunch in the near future.

A lovely venue, beautifully designed. Clean and tidy. Attentive staff. Food is good, but not excellent, quite expensive for pub grub type menu. 11% service is added to the bill, says discretionary but how awkward would it be to ask for it to be removed! We generally always tip 10 - 15% anyway so not a massive deal. I think I’ll go back at some point, but it won’t be top of my list.

Probably the best breakfast in memory! Everything from the greeting to the eating ! Was faultless Super friendly staff, great location. Breakfast was so good we purchased breakfast sausages (as well as a ton of meat!) from the butchers to bring home.

We had bread and butter for our little one, marinated Chicken Thighs with crispy garlic new potatoes, and with couple of hot drinks. I must say the food and the atmosphere were great. The chap who served us was respectful and Chivalrous. However I must mention the lady who was at the reception desk did not greet us at all, She seemed impolite. She did not even ask us why we were waiting, do we need a table or do you have a reservation or anything? When you go in a reputative restaurant like this you do expect basic manners by default. I hope this will be improved in the future, with a friendly front desk staff who treats everyone equally.

Good food and coffee. Only let down is the lady (pregnant) who needs to learn how to smile and greet customers. Sorry but telling it like it is. Her colleagues on the other hand were great.

We absolutely love the Grazing Rooms. Whether it's popping in for a coffee and cake, brunch, lunch or supper we have always had delicious food. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the restaurant is light and airy and on a sunny day nothing can be more perfect than lunch outside. We even stopped there at the end of a long walk and, with very muddy boots, had a delicious coffee down at the visitors centre. My husband has stopped off on a bike ride and found the cafe a great place to refuel. We couldn't recommend the Grazing Rooms more highly and would urge you to go there.

I work in the kitchen there and love it. I've also eaten there and the food is amazing. I love the venison burgers they're delicious. The service is great too, not forgetting the whole scenery of the place. If your ever in doubt or where to go for food then I Highly recommend going to Sky Park!! Its a place not to miss out on!

Perfect breakfast experience here for Mother’s Day. The produce is great, seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The service is attentive and friendly, and they dealt well with a busy breakfast service. I look forward to coming back; it’s rare to get a breakfast this good!

It came with cauliflower cheese, braised red cabbage, parsnip, carrots, green, a huge homemade Yorkshire pudding and to finish it all off a lovely beef jus. The children’s portion was very generous and my daughter loved the gammon. The beef fillet was amazing quality and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend, fantastic service and food was top quality.

Delicious food- I had the bouillabaisse which was divine- my daughter had the rib eye steak which was ‘melt in mouth’ and my partner had the pork belly which he loved. We are all going to have to go back again and eat the rest of the menu because it was all so delicious!

I stumbled upon the Grazing Rooms on Instagram and being a big foodie, couldn't resist booking a table after seeing they had lobster on their specials! My husband, son and I headed down for an earlier (5pm) dinner which was perfect timing. The restaurant was quieter than a usual 7pm dining service (it got really busy as we were leaving), ideal for us to enjoy the food before our son got too tired. We were greeted by the most attentive, kind and professional staff who gave us a bit of history about the restaurant, the farm shop on site and how it's recently been refurbished. The restaurant itself is beautiful and you can see a lot of time and effort has been put in. We also had the pleasure of meeting the Executive Chef Sean, who recommended a few of his favourite dishes, but also gave us a good overview of the whole menu. I couldn't believe how much was being offered gluten and dairy free! Food-wise, we had the honey mustard pigs in blankets (fighting over who go the last one!!), followed by the best scotch egg I think I’ve ever eaten. A light crispy coating (GF), tender venison meat inside, wrapped around a perfectly cooked egg with oozing yolk. The stars of the show though, came as our main course. As part of their Valentines Special (but hopefully making a permanent addition to the menu soon!) we shared a medium rare chateaubriand, and a whole lobster, both cooked in a garlic butter and served on crispy fries. The steak was juicy and tender with every slice, and the lobster was melt-in-the-mouth delicious. Sean and his team know exactly what they’re doing!! On the side we had tenderstem broccoli topped with sweet, crunchy almonds and a harissa mayo, plus a portion of Parmesan truffle fries. I’m not usually a fan of truffle but these were so well balanced we polished off the lot. Finally, and genuinely I have no idea how I managed it, I couldn’t help but order the chocolate brownie. It normally comes with chocolate sorbet but I switched out for vanilla ice cream. It had the gooiest middle with crispy, crunchy edges, unreal! AND GF too! Not that you’d ever know! The perfect meal, within a beautiful setting, I can’t fault a thing. I urge you to make a reservation and try this place out for yourselves, you will not regret it! We’ve already got our next 2 bookings made and can't wait to try out their roast dinners!!

We first had lunch here in October 2022 and left a 5 star review. Today, 23 February, was our second lunch at the Grazing Rooms. As for the last time we both had the venison haunch steak and very good it was again. Generous portions and served medium-rare; good. Sides were mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetables and braised red cabbage. All-in-all a very good meal, main course only, chosen from a varied menu. £54 including tip (no drinks, just water.) We had two issues. First: the so-called "welcome" from the lady on reception was decidely perfunctory; no warm greeting nor a smile - we remember her from other times with the same attitude problem. Not appropriate and off-putting. Second: we had asked in writing when booking on-line for a table in the "L" and away from the noisy cafe. She ignored this and offered a table right next to the full cafe. We declined and were then offered a second table somewhat further away but not in the "L". Unbelievable! We insisted and, third time lucky, were seated in the "L" but done with bad grace. So, not a good start! As above the meal was then good. Last time we commented that the whole restaurant was noisy from guests' chatter. That was more noticable this time as the restaurant was almost full. The whole room has lots of hard reflective surfaces, so no surprise. We see that other reviews make the same comment. That's a great pity as it doesn't give a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. We would eat here more often if it wasn't for this. We discussed this with one of the supervisors and learnt that consideration is being given to installing sound absorbing technology; that's well-proven and readily available!! We very much hope that this project is indeed implemented; it is much needed. So, a 'mixed bag'. 5 stars for the actual meal but only 3 stars overall this time. We then shopped from the excellent range of produce, including buying venison! We would come more often if the issues raised are corrected. Our comments to friends and family are rather mixed at the moment. Management - your response? It would be a win-win for you and your guests. But I'm not hopefull as you have only responded to just one review in the last twelve months of 29 reviews!!

My husband and I booked for a meal for valentines. The menu choice was excellent, staff very attentive and the food was cooked to utter perfection. I would highly recommend The Grazing Rooms, one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten out.

Delicious lunch with very attentive service. Wonderful flavours and beautifully presented. They were very welcoming of me my daughter and granddaughter. It all takes place in a light airy dinning room.

We had an excellent dinner at the Grazing Rooms. The menu is extensive and the food is of great quality. Everything was well presented and good portion sizes. The seasonal special, homemade gnocchi was sublime. For us, it was worth the drive from Portsmouth and we will be returning. We've also visited for breakfast and lunch too, equality as nice.

We have visited a number of times and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere so decided to ask friends to join us for Sunday lunch. Everyone enjoyed their food, two roasts, a pot roast and fish ( catch of the day). The food arrived in a timely manner and was really hot and well presented. The kichen must have been busy as the restaurant was full and remained so throughout the afternoon. We really like this place for a relaxed, well cooked Sunday lunch. The atmosphere is good and the service really friendly and efficient.

Absolutely amazing place the drive to the restaurant was lovely and welcoming. The food was beyond expectations, really well presented and full of flavour. Would thoroughly recommend a visit either as a small intimate setting or as a larger group. They did not disappoint from their welcome to the payment... Extremely good value!

First time here and what a find. Went for New Years Day lunch and was surprised as to how busy it was. Good food and wine and the service from Emilia was excellent. Certainly recommend

Visited for the Christmas Eve brunch and both of us had the Farm House Breakfast. The portion was plentiful and tasted amazing, which coupled with the excellent service made for a great Christmas Eve meal. The only small point was the standard of the fresh OJ which seemed a little watered down. That said, thoroughly recommended.

Sky Park is going from strength to strength and its great to track it's success. The Grazing Room restaurant is excellent. The food choice is good and the service is superb. Because it is a visitor attraction families are welcome. However sometimes the number of small children around can be a distraction and as there is plenty of space I wonder if the rooms can be divided up into family areas and a quieter area for others? I would probably go more often if there was.

What a fabulous meal and such professional and friendly service. We have visited several times, for breakfast and lunch, but dinner this evening was superb. We shall be back soon.

Had a fantastic meal at sky park farm. We went in April for our anniversary and had their venison pate and Sunday roast (beef). It was so good we returned in September and had yet another fabulous meal. The food is great and the service is excellent and we highly recommend 💕

The Grazing Rooms is a truly excellent experience, from the hospitality which sets the bar for being both super friendly and also useful, to the food which is of the highest calibre. This restaurant wouldn’t look out of place in a top 10 list of any city. The sky park farm is also a really great experience and shows the care they put into their produce.

Average , expensive food in a canteen like atmosphere. My husband had the venison which was extremely tough. I had the fish which was bland , too salty, and paired with cold greens with dry roast potatoes. Very disappointing.

Went on a recommendation from a friend. Glad we did. Thoroughly enjoyed the butchers shop, the farmers market, the bakery and the restaurant. Servers were young (ish) but warm and welcoming, always smiling. We were shown to our table, the menu explained, and drinks ordered....
