The best fish and chips shop in Stockpot. the fish is very good, value for money and friendly staff. This is much better than Grand Dad fish and chips. Not easy to find but worth it if you find this little gem

A small Cafe with a good atmosphere, good food, varied menu all cooked to order . Great breakfast menu and at prices that won't make your eyes water ! Also supplies outside catering . Buffet service for local businesses, afternoon & cream teas and amazing speciality deep fill family pies made to order, inc. apple pies and quiche. Great welcome by business owner Lou.

Amazing food, staff & prices! Very generous portions. The best food I’ve had in Stockport! Definitely worth going

Such a lovely little spot! Literally popped in there on the morning I’m writing this and grabbed two bagels and a dirty chai latte. The Carrot lox and cream cheese is SOOO good, for two non-vegans, me and my gf could not believe how like smoked salmon it tasted! The staff that served me today (I’m guessing you’re the owners guys!) were so lovely and had so much time to talk to me even though they’d just opened up. For any short-staying travelers in Stockport, GO HERE, it’s such a lovely little spot in what I’m finding is such a lovely town.

Lovely little hidden gem in Stockport Underbank. Access by foot only as its in a pedestrian zone but we'll worth it. Food was delicious, service was with a smile and price wise average for a hipster type area. Can't pre book a table so come early to avoid disappointment. Would 100% recommend and definitely going again soon!

At one time I would have given this 5 stars but it needs updating inside it's starting to look a bit rundown and what I hadn't realised till recently is they add a 20% service charge which I find a bit naughty for a small cafe so have now stopped going as obviously I'm not paying £1.20 for every £1 I spend

Wow! - I'm a great fan of real ale bars and the whole scene that surrounds that but this one is great! Excellent selection of ales and a great vibe. The real thing that stands out with this one (of many) craft ale bars in Stockport is that this is mainly hand pulled - not keg and is significantly cheaper than the ones around the market place. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed....

Came for lunch with a group of send learners. The staff were so friendly and patient. The food was delicious and came out fast. Staff were fantastic. Will definitely be returning.

Thought we'd visit after reading a report in the Manchester Evening News. Sounded really good given the experience of the owner/operator. Described as deliberately laid back/retro/Artisan/"disorganised"/not overworked. Definitely all of those above, however lack of food care left me unsure. It was 26C outside when we visited and all the days food was on display, without covers, and flies were everywhere. Worst of all Ham sandwiches were on the counter, at room temp, with no covers, not sure how long they'd been there. Only two milk options for coffee, Full fat or Oat and no options on size of coffee portions. I was underwhelmed and very dissappointed, still, you live and learn. I hope they get their act together soon because it's part of a revival of this part of Stockport.

First visit to WTLGI after trying for months and months to book a table. It was well worth the wait. The food, the wine flight and the amazing service from all staff members was personal i have never been to a restaurant and been seeved by every visible member of staff with such a wealth of knowledge about what they were delivering to the table. What we can only describe as a phenomenal experience in a vibrant setting. I have a massive phobia of pears (mad i know) so when the dessert was delivered and there sat a conference pear I almost landed it onto my husbands plate but no I ate it and I'm so glad I did as Jess certainly knows how to create a food explosion in the mouth. It was delivered with a cake a crumble and a broth custard and in my opinion the absolute best dessert I've ever had. I can't say anything more about this hidden from sight gem. We will be back.
