The Bakers Vaults in Stockport

Great pub with some very decent beers on offer. Old Tom was top of our list but only had one of these at 8%! Food was superb and decently priced. Mac n Cheese was very good. Chips with chicken in a blue and chipotle sauce. Bloody fantastic. Excellent friendly staff

A pub well known for live music right in the market conservation area. Good range of beers and a great four piece band playing.

Really good beer choice here, always well kept. Is a bit noisy, but always worth a visit.

We haven't tried the food as we were a little too late but the atmosphere is wonderful. They are dog friendly. Be warned they do have a door policy should you be in a hen/stag party, wear sports clothes etc :)

Bartender was miserable when I asked about a spirit they has on the back bar which would have been an upsell from a pint. A dog went for another dog in the bar. Bartender rolled a cigarette in the bar

Love the Bakers. As cool as it comes. For Stockport! Always nice vibes be it busy and buzzy or chilled and civilised.

Quality Beers had a collab Thornbridge and Titanic Carpathian. Nice staff too.

Standard pub, always a good spot for a drink but due it being foody Friday some odd rules in place. No glasses for wine only plastic cups. The bartender wouldn't give me a tray to carry a round of shots so I have to walk back and forth 4 times. Someone could have done anything to the shots whilst I did this. Not a great idea for female safety in these modern times.

We've been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. Great food, great beer, great atmosphere.

Iv not been in here for years but recently I attended a small wedding reception at the bar. The landlord (I think) was so helpful. I'm 9 months pregnant, so I was slightly nervous sitting in a bar but he came over checking on me, making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. He joked that if I gave birth in there the champagne would be on him as long as he could get a selfie. He really helped make me feel relaxed. The food was excellent and all the staff were excellent.

Originally visited this & other Robinsons Pubs after doing the Robinsons Brewery Tour back in June (which is also highly recommended) The Bakers Vault always has a good atmosphere & staff are top class. So I dropped in again when in Stockport & enjoyed a few pints

Went into the pub to get out of the rain and we ended up staying for several hours. A really enjoyable place to go whatever the weather.

It was early doors on a Saturday night about 6.30pm so not sure how it would be later but it was busy when we arrived and then thinned out when we left at 8pm. Great decor, comfy seats and good styling. Drinks were a good price and the bar staff were super friendly.

I enjoyed a nice drink in the sun watching planes fly over. Staff were friendly and the beer selection is vast.

One of the best pubs in Stockport Town centre

I visited this great stockport robinsons brewery in January 2023 This great 1 roomed horse shoe shaped pub is a music pub which sells other hand pumped brewed ales on besides Robinson ales. Please use this pub if in Stockport gor real ales Tuesday 15th August 2023 We again visited this grand real ale pub in Stockport, which does not serve just Robinson ales on hand pumps, but 5 other guests we had the Titanic Chocolate Vanilla porter it was a grand Drink. The interior staff locals and outdoor drinking areas were beautiful Well done all involved

Great staff and service.. dog friendly, food was good, pretty much focused on burgers which is fine as they were very good.

Lovely pub in Stockport. Great drinks selection and the food menu was great too. They have vegan options available 🙌🏻 Its got a great atmosphere and a beer garden to the front which is lovely to sit in the sunshine. They’re a dog friendly pub too. The location is great also. The service from the bar staff was dull and lifeless though. Not very friendly or welcoming.

Went to meet friends there. Didn't dine but there's a terrific range of real ales on. Despite being busy, the staff were attentive and friendly.

Food - decent options for vegan - always nice to see. Could always have more but it’s getting there! Service - Awful - Miserable dead pan staff that clearly don’t want to be there - didn’t even get half a smile..the girl behind the bar needs to be removed from this establishment as clearly there are many people who have said the same thing. We ordered chips (daytime Wednesday so not busy) and she even forgot these. We had to ask again, didn’t even get an apology! Please please sort this out guys, it’s bringing down your pub! Atmosphere - Pretty decent, lovely setting

Usually good but had awful service today. Ignored at the bar by a young barmaid and walked out with my family after 15 mins of seeing other people being served. Really odd behaviour by the staff.

Great pub, shame about the rude staff, couldn’t fault the place or the staff until a member of the group choked on his drink and was accused of throwing up and was told he had too many drinks even though he’d only had 2 drinks in the pub, unfortunately it was a very unprofessional way the male staff member dealt with the situation

When I visited, they had two of my favourite beers on. Robinsons, Dizzy Blonde and Titanics, Plum Porter. Both beers were in excellent condition. The food we had we ordered was very good. I'd definitely recommend stopping here for a drink and to eat. I certainly will be next time I'm in the area.

I came with some family before going for a meal, and was pleasantly surprised that live music was still done here. I hadn't realised Bakers still did live music. The band played great music, the atmosphere was super and the service was absolutely fine.

This is a great pub, right next to Stockport's covered market. It was revamped almost a decade ago, and is now one of the best pubs in the centre of Stockport. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. I recommend it!

A pub with the same name despite several iterations over the years. Once had a top chef and great food (1990 ish) and in about 2011 we saw our son play bass guitar for his heavy metal band Black Moon Rising. On the site of Stockport's Norman Castle. Been many times. Currently great real ale venue for Robbie's and a guest ale or two. Jorvic chose the winter special really strong 8%+ Old Tom. Back in the 70's only sold in special 1/3 pint. Like Fowler's Treacle. Half enough today.Great location on the market

It’s such a lovely pub. If you’re lucky enough to get a table, even better. It’s a very popular place tho. The staff were all so lovely and friendly too. And the manager/landlord is fit 😝

Visiting the Bakers Vaults was very enjoyable. We went after leaving the Stockport food market for a drink. Good atmosphere, good service and reasonably priced drinks. It was fairly busy but we still found somewhere to sit. It was a Friday night, a mixed crowd of people. Definitely not an old man's pub but still had a real pub feel with nice decor.

Great local pub in the heart of Stockport Old Town. This place serves all kinds of craft ales as well as plenty of classics. The bar is well stocked with a range of spirits. Staff are always friendly. This place gets rammed on Foodie Fridays and other events in the town centre but perfect for midweek catch ups with friends.

The bar staff were very unwelcoming and rude. The beer was off and they refused to address the issue. Disappointed and underwhelmed.

Used to go here for live bands years ago. Updated a few years ago and given a new lease of life under Luke. A vibrant, lively bar with exceptional staff, lovely unfussy food and a great selection of ever changing ales. Regular free live music from some exceptional musicians.

My mate and I were on a mini pub crawl within Stockport when he said he would like to pop in. Both of us had visited before and like the pub. It was busy but we got served quickly. Selected Saltaire Cascade which was excellent. Top tip, as like previous visits the staff assume if you order cask ale, you want it served within dimple jugs/ glasses. If I was in Germany I would have no problems with a similar style glass(e.g. masse kruge 1l glasses). But the British style dimple glass reminds me of the '70s when real ale was relatively rare. So the barmaid was happy to pour into straight glasses. Would recommend visiting this popular pub.

Far too expensive ,almost £6 for a pint. Little wonder the place was quiet.
