Huffy's at the Three Shires in Stockport

I am DJ at Huffys and absolutely love it. The people are such a nice fun loving bunch and the atmosphere is brilliant. Bring on the good times

Huffys- brilliant cosmopolitan, atmospheric, superb!

Followed this chef from his previous post at Marple Bridge, absolutely spot on and very good atmosphere, extremely chilled out place to enjoy a meal, few beers and some nice staff 👍 5 stars all day long, you won’t be disappointed ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were greeted by two people drinking in the foyer - who turned out to be members of staff. We were seated near the fireplace - next to unused speakers that had been pushed into the corner, on seating with a huge hole, showing the foam inside. The staff were pleasant enough, however, our waitress’s clothes were not particularly clean - nor were the menus. We then watched as a member of staff put her contouring makeup on using the mirror behind the bar optics! 🤦🏻‍♀️ At this point - had the weather not been of biblical proportions with hail and rain - we would not have stayed. We got wafts of ‘weed’ several times during the course of our visit. The toilets weren’t particularly clean - and the hand dryer didn’t work. So in the absence of hand/paper towels - we had to resort to loo roll. The food was ok - especially for the price - but we would definitely not return if we were to visit Stockport again!

Delicious Sunday roast , couple share platters available and reasonably priced too, all food was great, very nice setting. Would recommend booking in advance as limited tables.

The best food weve eaten in a while, all staff were welcoming and lovley. Food was amazing we had fish and chips and the king prawn pasta and it was phenomenal. We will 100% be back

amazing staff and fantastic fresh homemade food. they couldn't do enough for us. all in all a perfect meal and very friendly staff along with a lovely atmosphere.

Fell upon this place and was lucky enough to get a table for 6 without a booking it advance. Lovely decor inside. Friendly staff. Tasty food and good size portions we had the roast my family had the lamb and beef and I had the pescatarian roast of seabass. All served with mashed and roast potatoes, cabbage, carrots and swede, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pudding & stuffing. We all enjoyed our food.

Staff were brilliant couldn’t ask for more always checked up on you make sure all was okay had a tapas thank you chef was brilliant as normally I go to Berretos Lounge for these but this was incredible today I recommend to anyone I enjoyed very much massive portions well done staff for your great hospitality today thank you Sarah and Jerry for a nice afternoon

Said it opened at 12 on google and on the sign on the door so arrived at that time to be told they wouldn’t be opening for an other half an hour ‘or so’ with no explanation as to why. There were also 2 other customers waiting who were also disappointed. Opening times should be set in stone not just when they fancy!

We got the Sunday Roast sharing platter with 3 meats, and it was perfect. Such good value aswell, the best roast I’ve had. Lovely decorations inside aswell, and all the staff were really nice. The chef even came out to check we were happy with everything. Definitely coming back

Brought the Mrs here for a late valentines meal. Having worked here in the past I remember the food being immense, as well as the atmosphere. But sadly there has been a rapid decline. We Ordered the garlic bread with cheese and was served a bowl of toast with margarine. Cajun chicken here used to be the best around but the wrap was cold and bland. The bowl of chips were so oily and cooked far too much. Service was poor, staff were friendly enough but on the phone and sat on the bar. And what they were wearing - gym kit and sliders! Not very professional. Sad.

Took my in-laws here on a whim, and so glad we did! It was a quiet Monday night but the staff were so lovely, the chef even kept coming out personally to check on us. The food was outstanding! Will definitely be coming back 😍

Most steak I have ever had in a steak and ale pie. Great chips although the plate layout suggested the chef had been playing Jenga.

Had a meal before the panto at The Plaza. We went for tapas starters and then most of us enjoyed steak. Cooked to perfection and the accompanying sauces were amazing. Will go again.

Just been tonight for tea. Food was delicious, freshly cooked and absolute bargain. £27.50 for 2 meals and a bottle of wine. Staff were friendly and looked after us. Will definitely go again. Only put 4 stars for atmosphere as it was very quiet. We there early, arrived at 5pm.

After a different day out in Stockport we decided to try this place for something to eat and I'm so glad we did it was gorgeous. Hubby to be had prawns in sweet chilli sauce to start which he said was cooked perfectly. Mains: I had the steak and ale pie with triple cooked chips and peas, it was absolutely gorgeous, the meat and pastry just melted in the mouth. The triple cooked chips were perfect too lovely and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Hubby to be had the pepper rolled steaks in a creamy stilton sauce I had a mouthful and can confirm that it was absolute perfection the sauce complimented the steak, you could taste the stilton but it wasn't over powering. I had the apple crumble to finish, lovely crumble mix, apples were sweet custard was smooth easily one of the best crumbles I've had out in a while. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere and fabulous staff If your in the area and want amazing food at reasonable prices this is the place to go.

Not cheap but good value - great staff, comfortable seating in bar and seperate restaurant. Very welcoming.

Gorgeous food, reasonable drink prices and lovely staff.

Newly refurbished with a new owner. Good menu choices and kids eat free between 3-5pm. Lovely atmosphere, has been done up very nicely. Will be coming back definitely!!

I prefer this venue a lot. It has a great ambiance. The meals are marvelous. the service is dynamic and the personel is professional. The cost is modest. greatly recommend.

Not open at the moment due to the current situation with covid lock down. Very sad for all who work there.

From the moment you arrive in that restaurant the personel give you a good feeling. Very congenial hosts, it is a lovely place to pass time with your friends or with your date. very good cuisine, professional chief cook and stuff, good cost and attentive service. Warmly recommended.

Would certainly recommend trying out this place. Fantastic vibes, flavorful dishes, fantastic service. They never disappoint.

Disappointing Went last night for food and the woman on the door told us they were still serving food. We were sat down and a drinks order taken. When we asked a worker for a menu he bluntly said they have stopped serving food, we informed him we were told by the woman on the door they were still doing food to where he called us liars and claimed he heard her tell us they had are not. He bluntly and rudely argued with us over it.

Great service, food was alright

The three shires has had a reopened, after lock down the Covid precaution are in place and the staff are helpful. The food is a reduced menu but good options to allow for a nice meal in a friendly location.

Excellent service! Just tried the new take-away menu (Huffys at Home). The food was freshly made & arrived in great time. The food & milkshakes tasted amazing. Will definitely be ordering again! Highly recommend.

Went for birthday lunch with two friends. Lovely little place, great atmosphere, great food, friendly efficient staff and reasonable prices. Will be back and would recommend without hesitation.

I went to Huffy’s to attend a leaving party for a work colleague of mine.The event had been organised by a colleague and a hot buffet had been organised by Huffy’s at a very reasonable price. The staff made allowances for the size of our group and reorganised the tables to accommodate us. Everyone was friendly. On arrival the bar service was really efficient and the bar staff engaged with us, often chatting and being involved taking photos for us. The buffet consisted of chilli, prawns, calamari and patatas bravas with fries. Being vegetarian I opted for the patatas bravas which was delicious. We had a lovely night and after never having visited Huffy’s before I would consider going back as it is a lovely little place.

Lovely meal and drinks before seeing The Blossoms at The Plaza!! Everything was perfect! Would recommend the place!

It's under new management. Nice Cosy place. Nice staff. Food is fresh but I'm going back when they have their new tapas menu. I think the staff have changed so they'll take a bit of time to get a good system going. Pleasant people. Keep it up, improve the menu and systems and I'm sure you'll be getting 5 stars from everyone soon.

My husband and I have dined at this branch of huffys for years, in fact, our daughters 21st birthday party was held here 4yrs ago (superb).Although sadly on our visit today we discovered that there is new management and staff.The staff have always been very welcoming and the traditional food very enjoyable. In fact a real pleasure for us to have lunch on one of rare days off from work.We would usually visit approx every 2 wks whilst shopping.I have very recently been diagnosed with coeliac more than ever need a menu that has meat/fish and vegetables.Today I discovered that the braised steak with veg and the cod with veg is to be removed from the menu next week.I don’t want to go out to lunch to eat salad ( I can have that at home).I am unable to eat any food that is spicy as it affects my throat and makes me cough uncontrollably.Please don’t overlook traditional food in favour of young people whims.

The staff are always very friendly when you go in. The food is nice all freshly made. The place has just been decorated, and looks very nice.

Huffys has reopen after a refurbishment, which has brightened this bar and restaurant, the Food is as good as before, with no significant changes to the menu, the new Bar Manager is very welcoming. Looking forward to my next visit.

Myself and my friends have enjoyed many regular visits and social occasions at huffys over the years and they are a firm favourite that have never let us down.Whether its an early hangover brunch, tapas and wine after shopping in the town centre, or a full blown meal and cocktails, the food has always been delicious, the cocktails outstanding, and the service excellent.It gets busy in here so I would always recommend booking, but definitely worth a visit. One of my favourite independent places in Stockport.

Totally shocked, service was horrendous, staff smoking pot outside with children present.The bar area was filthy. Only put one star as a minus isn't possible.

Well Huffys is now doing a Seafood night on a Tuesday the chief is a Wiz with the fish, and last night Sea Bass, salmon, and gallic prawns was fantastic everyone should try and get down and try this wonderful food.

Went to huffys yesterday with two friends for lunch. Had the chicken and bacon ceaser salad was delicious My friends had steak salad they were asked how they wanted steak cooked was cooked to perfection. The place is spotless I think this is due to the new manager Terri and her staff. The prices are reasonable had a decent bottle of wine for £15 .Terri told us that they are doing a fish night on a tuesday you have to book because the fish is sourced fresh that day but it sounds good will defenitly be trying that.Thank you again we will be back. Went for lunch today with my daughter and our friend. Had tapas and a bottle of nice white wine. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommend and will visit again soon.

Excellent service. Shown to a table immediately on entry Food served ,very well presented. Granddaughter child sized portion... a well judged size for a child, . Drinks ordered were produced very speedily. All meals arrived together and very much enjoyed.

Today we went to Huffys, as we normally do on a Tuesday, this week the chief was cooking a sea bass dish with prawns and calamari, oh my god this was such a great dish the food was well prepared and presentation was a feast for your eyes. The only thing better was the taste

Fantastic little place, I immediately want to return! Lovely staff, fantastic menu, really is something for everyone and all cooked beautifully. I had garlic mushrooms and they were the best I've had in a long time! Really crispy chips and a generous portion.

1st time here and travelled from St Annes, wow the food, ambiance and staff were amazing. I would definitely recommend this golden nugget. I just wish they came to St Annes. I had the lamb mint pie with fat chips and red cabbage - Highly recommended, plate cleared.

Great bar ,food excellent, Scott the bar manager runs this place very smooth,nothing is to much trouble ,great for a small venue or party ,nice decor, staff polite and friendly, nice choices of beer and top shelf drinks ,great cocktails by the bar, you can chill out here ,give it a try and I bet you will reply!!, happy customer.

I was working in Stockport and needed to eat. Not knowing the area wasn't sure where to go. While walking down one of roads I saw this interesting looking restaurant in a very old, possibly Tudor building. Intrigued I checked the menu. My kind of food and very reasonable. 2 courses for £13.95 ( I think!). Cauliflower and stilton soup and mushroom risotto. Lovely, well cooked and very tasty. Only open until 8pm though.

Those who are looking for a decent lunch in Stockport Town Centre will know the options are pretty limited unless your happy with a cheap and nasty sausage.

Have always enjoyed the food really nice and lovely staff but went in tonight and a drunk member of staff not only verbally abused a customer but when I stood up for this person she shouted in my face and physically threatened me and had to be dragged away by another member of staff who I will say was very nice not sure who the management are but very weak

Took my meal payment off my card twice and now I am trying to get it back a week later,they say they need a bank statement as proof although I have their receipts showing the payment,staff don’t want to be bothered with paying me back what they owe me,I will defiantly not be going back to eat there again,no customer care whatsoever

This place knows how to do a burger well! Good sized portion without being too much, nice burger with great toppings that work really well, and compliment the burger. Service is warm and friendly in a relaxed atmosphere. A lovely spot for lunch, will be back!

Called in here for a meal before going to the Plaza. So glad we did quite a menu with a lot of choices even a 2 or 3 course menu. Staff very pleasant ordered our food and a reasonably priced wine the food arrived promptly and it was well prepared plentiful and tasty. There is also a tapas part to the menu which we will be returning to try. Excellent time was had.

This is a nice little pub with character a nice menu. We often come here with family for lunch and the staff are always really nice and helpful. The prices are reasonable and it has a friendly cosy atmosphere suitable for friends or families.
