feed is my local and I have been coming here since it opened. It by far has the best hot chocolate around in my opinion and food is always on point! I have noticed over the past year though that the customer service has felt flat, it hasn’t felt warm and inviting and I’ve often left feeling a bit gutted and overall I feel this has tainted my love for feed :(

Used to be great, not so much anymore. So painfully expensive and service just subpar. I ordered a kids meal and 10 minutes later was advised an element of this was sadly not available, they offered a replacement which I agreed to but then they advised I had to pay the 60p for it! I had paid almost £30 for a meal, a kids meal and two drinks. I paid the 60p, but it was sadly in exchange of any future visits from myself. I will say, the coffee is nice and it used to be lovely, hopefully it finds its way back.

Expensive but quality breakfast. Ordered a portion of toast for my baby for £4. I asked for some jam alongside it and was asked to pay 45p. Little gestures go a long way when you're paying £13 plus for a breakfast yourself.

It’s expensive for what you get and food takes a long time. It is nice when it arrives. I went at around midday on a weekday and they had ran out of mushrooms. I ordered something with beans instead and paid at the till. A staff member came up after 5 minutes to tell me they had also ran out of beans so would I like a replacement. I asked for a veggie sausage. The staff member came up again a few minutes later and very abruptly told me I would need to pay an extra 75p for the swap before I left the restaurant , even though the table had spent about £40 and it was their fault I needed to swap. Just found the staff member quite rude and probably won’t go back.

A lot of fried and deep fried stuff which tastes alright, but it's doesn't take a lot of skill to make and is very unhealthy. They are stingy on condiments like butter and jam which don't cost a lot, but they now charge extra for which decreases the quality of service as far as I am concerned. Speaking of service, it takes a long time. And the menu and food overall is not as nice as it used to be. The drinks are very nice though and the cakes are delicious. I just wish there were a bit more imaginative with the food and introduced healthier options too.

I had breakfast there and the sausages were just awful. Nobody even bothered to check on us to see if everything was okay. I normally hate confrontation or speak up when something isn't right but I did on that occasion . The lady just told me that all of other customers praise their sausages and completely dismissed me!!! She didn't even offer to take the sausages off the bill, given that mine were barely touched. My impression was that the place is just too full of themselves and have stopped actually caring about their customers. By the way, I've found that their coffee was bitter and acidic. I only had plain black Americano, and that was my experience. We live just 5 minutes walk away from this place but would never consider coming back as they have come across as too full of themselves 🙉

Errmm, where to start?? 1. Filthy. Food on the floor and windowsills, hairs and muck on the stairs that you walk up to get to the third floor. Dead plants upstairs (pointless) sugar pot in the middle of the table caked in grease and the actual sugar in it was rock hard so not sure how long that’s been there. 2. Food, angin. Skin on the beans, the driest bacon I’ve seen ever seen, black on the bottom of my egg (not sure if this is down to a dirty pan) and a very strange looking sausage. My wife’s muffin looked like it has been sat on and also had some dryer than dry bacon on it too. Long story short, I walked back downstairs with breakfast in hand, said I wasn’t happy and asked for a refund and was told that I can’t but they can redo my bacon. I said no and explained my family had left (we only wanted a quick bite to eat as had to be somewhere so no time to wait for breakfast to be redone) after going back and forth and explaining that the breakfast was angin the chef/owner came out and told me I hadn’t even given them a chance and again offered to redo my bacon………….pretty sure I had given them chance when I first ordered the food. Anyway after the snarky comment and sticking to my guns, he told the girl to put a refund through. Overall this was bobbins, had very strange ambience, it was filthy and well overpriced at nearly £30 for a breakfast with not a lot on it, a squashed dry bacon muffin and 2 coffees. On a side note some of the staff could do with sticking a bra on which is something I haven’t had to write before.

I had posted a good review, but I was forced to change it! The food portions are very small, I asked for GF bread and they brought me a mini slice, for the price it costs, it's worth it! I also asked for my tea and they brought me a different one, they insisted again that it was what I had ordered, and three waitresses went to look at the ticket, then one came back with the tea that wasn't it again, asking: 'Are you Are you sure you haven't asked for this?' like forcing the situation so that I agreed to take it! It was just a drink, a big deal they made rather than apologies and make another one, what a fush! Very bad costume service!! I usually value everything fairly, and here I have no choice but to do so too!

We dined here one Tuesday morning in December for lunch. Sat upstairs and it was freezing!! Literally had to keep our scarves and coats on throughout the meal. Staff were friendly but service was very slow, around 45 minutes after ordering the food it came. When the food eventually did come it was nice however over priced; think I paid £10 for a burger and then had to pay maybe an extra £4 for fries, the plate it came on was chipped as well. For these reasons I wouldn’t recommend visiting and will not be returning.

Walked in followed by a few people who pushed in front me at the till. One man did see it was me first told told the lad serving. I said I was on my own. He then said are you with this woman.i said no I'm on my own. He then said are you with the man there at your right I had to say again no I said I'm on my own it was embarrassing. Not always great walking in somewhere on your own surrounded by families. It was hectic and I just walked out. I late went back and went to try and explain how I felt just to say as a suggestion just say is it table for one rather than asking around are you with her are you with her or are you with him. ( He was with his wife he was embarrassed too) but the guy I was talking to cut in and just said it gets busy and there are sensory issues with the noise which I get point being he cut in when I was trying to explain instead if just listening which I did to him works both ways! . I've been in customer service for 30 years and in the food industry always listen. To blahsay. Went to chapel hide out was lovely calm nice service :)

We've previously visited just for a quick coffee but decided to go for breakfast this morning. We sat inside on the first floor and were made to feel welcome with our dog. Unlike so many places , the tables were a good size and nicely distanced, giving a spacious feel. The prices seemed a little steep for the "Full Feed" cooked breakfast, however it was clear when it arrived that everything was a bit more special than you're average full English. The hash browns and baked beans were homemade and good quality bacon and sausage- it was a really delicious and filling breakfast. The coffee was also very good. Would have given 5 stars but there was quite a long wait for the food (roughly 45 minutes) Other than that, was great

Nice range of cakes which have little individual touches. I will say that the cakes are quite pricey considering the size of them, but I guess they have a monopoly on this area as there is no competitor close by. Seating is communal in approach which suits the atmosphere and is dog friendly which is great! I’d recommend it if you fancy a slow Sunday or a quick Monday morning pick me up!

Went in early this morning (27 July 2019), it was not packed or busy. My wife ordered the mushroom omelette and granola. I ordered the English breakfast. A tea and coffee were also ordered. The tea came in a clean glass teapot and it was boiling hot. The coffee seemed to have been made 10 minutes prior to service. I sent it back, the same cup of coffee had been reheated with steam and returned too me. It was slightly warmer but still missing that ‘freshly made cup of coffee’ temperature. An apology was made. The breakfasts came and the English breakfast had a serving of beans. The beans were tepid. The breakfast went back, only to be returned with the beans steaming hot. Another apology was given. My experience was not great, good, satisfactory, mediocre nor poor. It was abysmal. If your going to charge a ‘more than average price’ for goods and services that are a cut above the rest, then something is definitely wrong. Instead of projecting a business for the discerning customer, please get the basics right. If it is all about £10 tiles and organic produce in the fridge, it will not count for much if someone falls ill. Failing to serve hot food is dangerous and serious. I was thoroughly disappointed with the experience and apologies do not cut it!

A delightful and welcome addition to the Heatons food and drink scene. Lovely atmosphere and they sell a changing selection of wines, beers and provisions to take away you won't find in supermarkets. And to those complaining about the coffee sizes, that's how it is supposed to be. This is what you get when you cross Levenshulme indie with a Heaton Moor farmers' market. This place would make a killing in West Didsbury or in the Northern Quarter but instead lights up this previously barren stretch of Stockport Road in Heaton Chapel (it's 100 yards from where Stockport Rd meets Heaton Moor Road). The 'General Store' tag means that you can pick up lovingly sourced groceries and carefully selected wines you've never seen before. But come for the food and stay for the vibe. The kitchen turns fabulous local ingredients into a moreish menu that makes you want to return and work your way through it. Veggies, vegans and omnivores are all fabulously well catered for. Everything is good, seriously. But can I put in a word for the cooked breakfast? Every item (sausage, bacon etc etc) is top, top quality and perfectly cooked. This is the best breakfast in Manchester, bar none, and I don't say that lightly. Oh, and the excellent coffee is locally roasted and vies to be Manchester's best (against Thyme Out in West Didsbury, which might just have the coffee edge). And that's before I mention the art classes and film nights on the top floor... Enjoy before it becomes impossible to get in.

We have been here twice now, once during the day and again a week later for Feed at night. Both times the food has been exceptional. I had the Honey Crispy Chicken when we went during the day and it was amazing, I look forward to going back and trying the Brisket Burrito next time. Feed at night has a different menu and I had the Dahl balls to start and the Feed Burger for my main course. Both were high quality lovingly presented dishes that I couldn't fault. I also recommend the Rhubarb Margarita as well as the beer on draft that includes a gluten free ale.

The menu offers everything you’d expect to see in your average British cafe. Food is always cooked wonderfully.😋 All of the staff are kind and helpful and will do anything to make you comfortable. The coffees are lovely too! The play room at the back is perfect for after you’ve filled your belly! I meet here all of the time with my mummy friends! They have a little gift shop too where you can find kids gifts 👌

I have been coming to this fab cafe since it opened with my children when they were younger with other mummies and have also used it as a business space. The staff are always really accommodating and since the pandemic have worked really hard to accommodate everyone they can whilst making everyone feel safe and welcome. The food is fantastic and we always recommend it to everyone. Even during a difficult time with the rules changing all the time they are still smiling and making everyone feel very welcome

This pub had a warm, friendly vibe and wood burning fire on. Upholstery throughout with wooden panelling on the walls.
