Lovely greeting by young ladie at the bar. My husband had the vegi breakfast nicely presented, very tasty reasonably priced. I had soup of the day along with a sausage roll. Again well presented very meaty sausage roll. I took the sausage roll home with me. Will definitely be going again. I was particularly pleased with the service as we were not there for a game of golf just the lunch. We were not rushed after eating so had a coffee and my husband had a couple of drinks from the bar.

Dismal. Walked into cafe, asked if it was ok to sit down which was confirmed. Then resident busy body appears "were you in queue?" as there was no queue as far as I could see I said "no" and was asked to move. Did so and apologised to the one man queue which I had missed. Then left standing in a confused area of the shop (like a scene from Cocoon gone wrong) with no indication when a table would be free for us. Rapidly lost interest and went next door to Wildflower which was great and run by people who don't see customers as a nuisance. Avoid the bakery at all costs and go next door. You have been warned. Incidentally not my first experience of poor service/rudeness in the bakery.

Farfield Mill looked the ideal stopping place for lunch on the way to our holiday cotttage. The Mill is a lovely building. We sat down in the nearly empty tearoom and immediately had to change tables as the original one was so rocky despite the wadge of paper stuck under the table leg. The food itself was pretty awful. My 'hot' panini was barely warm. And my husband's potato and watercress soup was dreadful. More like green water! I make watercress soup at home and it's not difficult! We won't be returning.

Disappointing. Ideally located on the main street but not somewhere we'd go again. Ambience was non-existent, toilet facilities unsanitary and the waitresses having to deal with being shouted at (unfairly) by whoever was in the back. Food took a while to arrive and was expensive for what was on the plate. There's much nicer cafes to spend your money in, don't waste your time in here.
