Lovely greeting by young ladie at the bar. My husband had the vegi breakfast nicely presented, very tasty reasonably priced. I had soup of the day along with a sausage roll. Again well presented very meaty sausage roll. I took the sausage roll home with me. Will definitely be going again. I was particularly pleased with the service as we were not there for a game of golf just the lunch. We were not rushed after eating so had a coffee and my husband had a couple of drinks from the bar.

I read Tourist08300466204's review regarding £12 for a savoury cheese baguette and a coke, and thought 'surely that can't be correct'... So today, when myself and 7 friends visited for a game of golf (excellent course), I asked the very friendly bar manager the price for these items - it was less than £5. So, perhaps a mistake was made... but the erroneous review should be corrected.

A group of us visited for a round of golf. Course was excellent and in very good condition. The only thing that I feel lets the place down is the prices in the bar. Over £12 for a cheese savoury roll/baguette and a bottle of Diet Coke. But apart from that the pro shop was welcoming and at least the weather was good to us all as well

Three of us played, only one of which had played here before. First impressions were excellent, everyone in the Pro shop was friendly and helpful and then in the bar area the service was impeccable. A bacon butty later and we were off to the first. The course was in a really good condition, the greens a little fluffier than we're used to but they ran true. The only criticism would be if it hadn't been for one of us playing here before we would have struggled to find our way from green to tee on a few occasions. Overall an excellent round on a very well maintained course and a thoroughly enjoyable day. Thanks to all we met during the day and all involved keeping the course pristine.

I was walking through the golf course today on a public right of way. Just as we were exiting the footpath to cross the course (which was part of the marked route and public right of way) a golf ball landed in front of us. This was fine, the golfers won’t have seen us. We looked left and right and couldn’t see where the ball had come from. We stood out a little further into the lawn to make ourselves visible and then proceeded to cross the grass. Before we had a chance to cross to the other side, a vehicle stopped in front of us, and a horrible Irish man started aggressively shouting at us, two young women. He said we should allow people to take their shots before crossing. How were we supposed to know when it was suitable to cross? He was very confrontational and his behaviour was unnecessary. He continued to shout at us as we walked away. I would avoid as this place clearly has some people working there that shouldn’t be around people.

We played as part of a golf society - a great day, excellent course and standing out above all was the catering manager - he attended to all our needs during these strange times with patience, a smile and great enthusiasm, he was really welcoming. and friendly, on top of that the steak pies and chips we had were the best I have ever had - to die for! Can't wait to come back.

We were a group of 16 guys on a golf trip to Kendal from Woodhall Hills golf club in Leeds. It was arranged for us to have a full English breakfast at Kirkby Lonsdale Golf Club and I have to say the welcome was very friendly and the food was very good. The young lady serving kept us topped up with plenty of toast and filled coffee/tea pots. The golf course was in very good condition and the greens superb lovely views. A good test. I will definitely return.

Just played 18 holes at this beautifully picturesque location. Having been last year, during the rainy season of Summer!! I was really pleased with the condition of the course today and with better weather expected this place can only get better. The greens are in good nic and the fairways firm. The green keeper has clearly been busy and the general look of the course is great too. The holes are interesting and with some raised greens, a challenge too. At over 6000 yards it’s a good walk with some stunning views. The clubhouse is clean, comfortable and pleasant with very polite, helpful staff. We had a small snack, (soup and chips) washed down with a decent pint too. I’m really pleased we played here and will definitely return. Recommended

Not too far from the M6 Motorway and located very close to the beautiful location of Kirkby Lonsdale is one of the most beautiful golf courses you could wish to play. A great test of golf with so many testing and enjoyable golf holes. Located in the Lune Valley, this fantastic golf course has some of the best views you could see whilst playing golf. The staff and members are extremely friendly, the food and facilities are great with nice food, lovely pro shop and a great practice area which includes a driving range. Don't miss out on a great golf facility.

Thoroughly enjoyed my round of golf on an early Sunday morning. I was alone, and was the first one at the club, the first one off the Tee. The Pro Shop service was perfect, I rented some clubs that were Srixon and were in great shape. The sun was out, the weather was marvelous, kind of chilly. I had the golf course practically to myself. Saw some partridges running and flying about. The fairways and greens were in pristine condition. The layout is fun and challenging, but not extremely difficult. Some blind shots. Would love to play there again.

They welcomed a group of 16 of us and the food and hospitality was fantastic. You don't have to be a member of the golf club to eat here which is good. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely return.

Called here for a takeaway lunch, used them several times before. Service was disappointing to say the least. Not a please or thankyou from the ladies working in the shop - even when I pointed out they'd only charged me for 1 flat white! Previous reviews also highlight the fact that the staff are miserable, they respond but do nothing to address the concerns raised. Also, I would've thought that as u was the only customer in the shop on a very wet day would have been positive for them - obviously not! Not sure I'll return here.

Visited here with my Dad today. Asked for a tea cake and then a scone both not on the menu anymore. I had a bagel with salmon and cream cheese paid over £8 and that was it no sides, no even a bit of salad - didn’t taste great. Dad ordered pancakes in the end 2 tiny pancakes on a dish - still hungry when we left. Not great service either. Disappointed!

Terrible customer service! The young girl at the till clearly did not want to be there. She was huffing and puffing at customers! Yes, it was very busy as yesterday, 15th October was a beautiful autumn day but I would think they would be glad of end of season trade! I could not sit down because they were so busy so opted to ask for take away coffee and cake, only to be told by her 'I'm not doing take away'. Really? The local co-op is closed for a refurbishment and they really could capitalise on that if they employed more capable, less miserable staff! Shocking!! Won't return!

Stopped to have a tea, latte and a slice of carrot cake. Great service and a huge slice of cake that we shared. Great value for money.

Called in for a coffee and snack after our frequent walk along the bay and round back into Arnside. When this first opened I was a little wary as we are used to small intimate tea/coffee shops in Arnside. However this was our second visit and as we entered we were greeted by obviously the front of house guy “David”. Wow does this guy know how to do it Welcoming ,friendly, Northern (always a bonus). Had a lovely coffee and Hubby had a great crisp bacon bun. The vibe in this cafe/restaurant is great., modern but great service. We live quite locally and are encouraged to go in the evening now as well. In our opinion the best restaurants are always about the front of house and Crossfields has it right. Everyone in this place has a great view of our beautiful Morecambe bay.
