Delicious soup, meze and borek. What a fantastic little cafe. A real gem!!

We had a great evening at Lago. Their meat and cheese charcuterie board was excellent with a great selection of produce. We loved their extensive drinks menu and I have to call out their excellent margaritas! A great spot!

A great place to eat! Staying with family nearby with babies and vegans- they cater for everyone! Nothing is too much for them. The food, service and the staff are fantastic My stepfather said their sausage and chili jam sandwich ‘goes down in history as the best!’ They even do scones cream and jam to go!

I loved this colourful little café, but unfortunately I had to mark them down as I think something must have been burnt shortly before we arrived, and my eyes are so sensitive that within a few minutes my eyes were stinging and streaming. I had a fabulous hot chocolate, and my son really enjoyed his burger. I would have liked to have stayed longer but my eyes were so sore (and it was too cold to sit outside) that I just wanted to leave. Staff were fantastic, and I feel terrible that I couldn’t give them the 5 stars that they deserve.

I go there in my first time trip in last week. I spend 2 hours and take some beer with my partner. We really enjoy the time. I'll come here again.

What a gem!! Me & my partner grabbed 2 turkey bacon sub rolls from here for lunch, they were £4.50 each and they were awesome! You never get value for money like that these days, it was fresh, warm and massive, a 10/10 sandwich. Even better after a big walk in the fells. Will return often i’m sure! Friendly warm service too. Brilliant cafe, fab food. We had no idea it was a vegan restaurant until we were leaving. We shared two sandwiches, the egg mayo with bacon bits. We both agreed the bacon was delicious. We also shared a houmos and salad sandwich. The milk was, we found out later, oat milk. Everything was delicious and tasted like 'normal' food if you know what I mean. Will definitely be going back there.

Lovely bacon sandwich. The Ciabatta was fluffy and crispy. Really good. The side of halloumi was lovely too

We were on holiday in the lake district and as we were married in Ulverston we wanted to pay a visit to the town. We liked the look of the frontage of "Poppies" . So decided to call in. My husband ordered a currant scone and I had carrot cake. The cake was just freshly made .I can honestly say I have never eaten a carrot cake tasting as good as this. It was beautiful. Hubby said his scone was lovely too. We ordered two coffees and they were hot and tasty. The staff were very friendly and chatty. A lovely experience.

What a great place for evening dinner. Lovely pub. Great service all round. Food was delicious all 3 courses. Reasonable price. Highly recommend if near this area.

Very kind people, with my three boys and two dogs. A little stressful with traffic etc but the staff were lovely and helpful.

We came by for a coffee . My GF wanted some food and they turned on the oven for her and prepared a lovely toastie even though they had shut it down and were preparing to close . And also they were very friendly people . Well definitely return

Had an amazing time looking at all the niknaks.. coffee was freshly brewed and strong. Amazing homemade jam with cream on our scones.. fantastic service and great atmosphere , Sam the owner is very witty. Jane amazing service. Love it. We will be back.

What a find! We popped in on the hop. Really good service. Beautiful food. Daughter had the kids mini afternoon tea. Really nice portion. We had quiche and toasties. Came with salad and coleslaw. All homemade and really tasty. Will definitely be back.
