A great place to eat! Staying with family nearby with babies and vegans- they cater for everyone! Nothing is too much for them. The food, service and the staff are fantastic My stepfather said their sausage and chili jam sandwich ‘goes down in history as the best!’ They even do scones cream and jam to go!

Great coffee, cake and ice cream visit. Everything we saw delivered to other people looked great, we regretted having had breakfast already. Lovely staff. Beautiful location, and handy when visiting Townsend.

Such a delightful tea room in the heart of the Lake District. An ideal half way point on our walk from Ambleside. The staff are always very friendly and service is impeccable. Only had drinks but the food looked delicious (and from the comments other visitors were making, it tasted it as well).

We walked from Ambleside and we’re so happy to come across this tea room. The coffee was amazing and the warm cheese scones were absolutely delicious. Very friendly and even though it was a damp February day, it was great to see this little place so busy. Definitely worth a visit.

I went for a run over Wansfell and then called in here for some calories. It was just what I needed; great coffee and a lovely bit of cake. The innovative plant pots made me smile.

At the end of quite an arduous trek, Wansfell trail, we ended up having coffee and homemade cakes in this delightful Tearoom. The staff were amazing, the coffee and cakes were absolutely delicious and, very, very reasonable. Would come back in a heartbeat.

Just down the road from us this is a lovely tea room perfect for breakfast or lunch. Food is good, staff all very pleasant and the interior is nice plus there is some seating outside. The walk up Robin Lane behind the cafe is definitely worth doing as a short distance up from the cafe you will be rewarded with one of the best views I have ever seen.

Sorry but just shy of £20 for 2 bacon and egg sandwiches and 2 coffees . This is way more than it was under the old Management . Plus the Lady at the cash desk was far from welcoming . We won’t be back .

First class friendly welcoming service and superb fresh food. Quiche with spinach and broad beans was exceptional. Husband had the pea soup, also very good. Not our first visit and look forward to coming back 😋

Absolute a must do. It's probably the oldest pub I have lever been into. Feel more like a house than a pub, so authentic. Recommend the "Henry" mint lamb shoulder!

We came here and enjoyed food here. However, we did not realise until after ordering food (BLT) that this place was vegan. Otherwise we might have made different food choices. Portions were large.

I would rather never drink coffee again than have to be served by the owner of this place. I have never been spoken to so rudely by someone in customer service in my life. I suffer from 2 very serious diseases and kindly asked where she gets her milk from, because I don't want to have the Arla milk who give their cows Bovaer. Which may or may not do anything at all (I understand this), but I am trying my hardest to only put into my body what I am comfortable putting into it. Anyway when I asked this question I was abruptly told " what you mean the additive that disappears before it even gets to the milk, and an eye roll. Then she slammed down the milk she uses and walks away. Turns out she uses Morphets milk which is is a local organic farm, so that would have been absolutely perfect! I understand that it is a personal choice of mine about the milk and all my other dietary requirements that I live my life by, but when I am fighting two cancers I do not expect to be treated like a piece of dirt for a simple question. Horrendous customer service skills and glad I handed no money over to her.
