Excellent food , cracking atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.

A nice meal and range of food and drink in the old fire engine room. Sitting in the area where the fire engines used to deploy from until the mid 2000’s with interesting wall pieces.

So sad to hear the Hideaway has closed.Had a fantastic meal on Christmas Day with 10 of my family.Dinner was amazing, the effort these guys put in to ensure our day was perfect.was brilliant.Such a shame.Hope they reopen elsewhere.

I've been eating my lunch at Coffee and Cream whenever I am working in Carlisle for the past few years and I love it. The jacket potato with cheese savoury is the best I have ever had anywhere and I really appreciate the frendly personal service. Highly recommended.

This is a great little Cafe in Carlisle City Centre. Breakfasts are fantastic and incredibly good value. I definitely recommend!

This is a excellent menu for a special lunch, we tired this menu last year and when we seen it return we could not wait to come back. Excellent value for money, my partner enjoyed the garlic mushrooms, and I had the three cheese bonbons, both were presented beautifully. We asked for a recommendation for wine and the manager, Charlotte recommended a bottle of red after asking what we liked and what food we had ordered, a bottle of primitivo arrived and she was right it was beautiful. Cumberland sausage & Beer battered fish as mains, again presented beautifully. I thought the sausage, mash and gravy were amazing, my partner said the fish was good and especially enjoyed the homemade tartare sauce. The staff checked with us while we dined and nothing was too much trouble, pouring more wine into our glasses while we ate. Great service. Have booked to return later in the month for a evening meal.

Afternoon tea with friends .Fantastic ,loads of amazing food attentive helpful staff .It was wonderful .Made a Friday afternoon special.

Was staying in Carlisle for weekend for a friends birthday. Came across this small pub in ghe afternoon, and seen these 2 lads singing in the window. So glad we went in stayed for a few hrs, brilliant different songs they sang with great vocals. Everyone was singing and staff worked hard serving quickly. Definitely be back when visiting Carlisle.

Excellent food and atmosphere. We can recommend the sharing platters from the sea and from the field (veggie). For 2 sharing this was plenty of food and we were both stuffed. Food bill came to like £45 as well so I think good value. Would return next time passing through Carlisle.

Lovely friendly cosy atmosphere

Wife and I called in today and found the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The latte's were excellent and the bacon sandwiches were superb. Wife is gluten free but this was not a problem. Also had a selection of gluten free cakes. Quick service and reasonable prices. Will certainly use this place next time we are in Carlisle.

What a lovely wee pub located In carlisle city centre! The lady behind the bar was really lovely & friendly nothing was too much trouble ! We had the slow cooked beef Sunday dinner special. Oh it was REALLY nice! Everything was piping hot, the beef melted in your mouth & everything on the plate freshly made. Homemade chips were also super fluffy in the middle! We had the crumble & custard for pudding also very fresh and tasty! I would maybe recommend booking as its not huge inside but we didn't & wasn't any problem! Great selection of drinks & items on the menu. 100% recommend if you fancy some lovely homemade meals! Thankyou!
