My time at the bistro was cool I was greeted by warm hearted staff , and the value of the food was great I would recommend this place to everyone

Great breakfast and nice service everything was tasty and very good. I had a great time. I am glad to see that every costumer enjoyed their dish that prepared. The staff also are very friendly. I really recommend

Booked for Christmas Day (not a cheap meal) and it was an extremely disappointing visit. The landlord confirmed for 1pm and when we arrived the restaurant was empty. 25 minutes later the waiter informed us food wasn’t being served till half 2. I did show them the message with a 1pm time stated, but they knew nothing of it. We went down to the bar and an hour later the landlord came to tell us to go up to the restaurant. No apology was forthcoming for our wait. Tables were cheaply decorated considering it was Christmas Day and that should have warned us what was to come. When it finally arrived, the food was bland and very poorly presented. Prawn and avocado cocktail was half an avocado and a few prawns on a plate. Christmas dinner was turkey, potatoes, a couple of parsnips and the smallest pig in blanket ever seen! Sprouts and carrots were then unceremoniously plonked on table in cereal bowls. Service was inadequate to say the least and they were clearly new and had had no real training. We then waited over an hour for dessert and they then mixed up the orders. Some people left as they were fed up of waiting. When it was time to pay the balance, I was too angry to say anything. However, I did message the landlord the following day stating I wanted to give him ‘right to reply’ before writing a review. He messaged back an apology saying he was sorry he had forgotten to tell us of the change in time, he also said he had had to intervene in the kitchen and as a result, was now chef-less! He also said he would welcome us back when he had a new chef for a meal (without charge)! The experience would have been disappointing if it had just been a regular meal but the fact it was a special day was also really upsetting. Clearly customer satisfaction is not a priority and I would strongly recommend you choose a different restaurant. Please don’t waste your time and money.

Called in for early evening meal at 4pm to be told they don't serve food until 5pm. Had a look at menu however, very expensive for standard pub food plus, you had to pay extra for things like naan bread that you normally get with meal. Finished drink and left.

Realmente he disfrutado de mis visitas aquí en el pasado, sin embargo, después de mi visita más reciente me quedé muy decepcionado con la falta de respeto por el personal por el gerente! El ambiente se vuelve casi insoportable y por desgracia me hizo sentir muy incómodo! Una pena que el personal suele ser muy agradable.

This is an absolute gem of a place. So well run by Phil and Karen. So friendly and knowledgable, Such a comfortable place to spend a few hours sampling many craft ales

We were there at midday. The 3 girls working gave a really good service, despite being rushed of their feet as the boss was out. Top scran, great prices and superb Everton-related decor.

Rockpoint records? All very well but come on..never any music playing other than live bands? Get a decent playlist or 2 on at least..I'm sure they got their PRS licence? Is music permitted during the daytime? Or is wirral Council putting the blockers on again?

Oakseys used to be a regular when I working, now retired I went back with an old work colleague. Had the old usual full breakfast large. As good as I remember a huge belly buster of well cooked and presented breakfast. Great service from friendly staff and brilliant value for money.

We have used this pub for many years now and it never really changes. It's always been a friendly place where you can relax and have a quiet drink or a noisy one, if you choose your times right. The beer is always really well kept. I drink John Smiths and I've never tasted a better pint of it anywhere else.

Una visita obligada para todo aquel que le guste la buena comida y un ambiente agradable. La comida siempre es deliciosa. Comida vegetariana y vegana aunque genial para cualquiera.

A very interesting and profound cafe the staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are very reasonable the cafe is in Central Methodist church on Lune Street

Stopped here for a quick sandwich before getting back to work, the tuna and cheese panini was top class! Would highly recommend this place, also bought one of their bounty cheese cakes which didn’t disappoint, one of the best I’ve ever had! Will be visiting here again. Thank you

Before Covid-19 the menu was more extensive. Would recommend for a lunch meal. Jacket potatoes are a favourite but book in advance as arriving on the day doesn't guarantee a spud! Have eaten here a lot and will continue to. Drinks prices are very good

Must have changed hands from last visit such a shame ,to be given a Latte straight from a packet and be told that a Flat White is just a spoon of coffee with milk and sugar . Asked about the coffee machine only to be told we can’t plug a coffee machine in something to do with the electrics ,found that rather odd we usually buy two drinks each and cake it’s lovely to see these little cafe when your out walking and give them your support but sadly I’m not paying for a packet latte.
