The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Richmond upon Thames London

Sadly a disappointing experience having not been here for a few years. I remember a well priced good quality cafe. Nostalgia is a wicked liar! Popped in for a couple of takeaway baguettes and it was all a bit disorganised. We waited a while before our order was taken of a bacon baguette and a cheese salad baguette. We asked what type of baguette it was and were told it was a French stick type. It wasn’t and was more of a ciabatta type bread and a very small one at that. A dusty one to boot. The two baguettes and a tea in the smallest cup in the world came to over £17. A tea about the size of my small finger. Hot water must be getting expensive! After a few deep breaths we paid the money given our order was in process. The baguettes were very disappointing for the price, with a a small amount of bacon in one and a single slice of cheese in the other, although the salad quantity was passable. For the money I’d expect everything to be plentiful and exceptional, but it was a bit of a rip off I’m afraid. Paying £7-8 for a baguette is pretty mad stuff and not something I’ve ever experienced in the area or even in central London. I’ve been too many places in the course of recent history central or in the vicinity. They seemed to be struggling with table service too and people were coming to the counter to order following long waits meaning they overtook us waiting at the counter. Some would say style over substance, but the substance was really lacking. The style didn’t count for much if that was the bargaining token of choice. Worse still is we were still hungry after the minuscule portions and turns out there was the Twickenham Cafe a few doors down. The food was half the price and double the portion/quality. Needless to say that will be choice in future. I feel pretty disingenuous to direct people elsewhere but in this circumstance I feel it is necessary. Update from the hospital: My wallet is still recovering from open heart surgery but doctors say there is some hope. I’m happy to find a defibrillator in my will if I don’t make it. Here’s hoping!

Hampton Hill is a favourate place of ours with Bushy Park a stones throw away there are a large number of cafes in the vicinity this is the one we chose. Its fairly small although there is space at the back. Menu is good an excellent selection of sandwiches, pannini's, bagettes and other such foods. I went with the spanish omelette with comes with chips (or salad). Very nice too. My son went with the same whilst the females in the family chose pannini's (salmon was good im told). All washed down with a cup of delicious hot chocolate. Service great and all for just over £40 for 4 of us. Happy with that

I recently visited Robin in Richmond and absolutely loved it! The coffee was excellent, the staff were really friendly, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of café where you can relax, enjoy great quality drinks, and feel at home. A lovely spot that definitely adds charm to the area — I’ll be back soon!

Recommended by friends who live locally! This did not disappoint! Fabulous brunch! Real taste sensation and great service too. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

Always a lovely, friendly welcome and always great food

A wonderful find that finished off my Twickenham weekend. Staff were extremely polite and efficient with excellent service, before we even got to the food. The food itself was exceptional, eggs cooked to perfection and portion size was just right, all washed down with a delicious latte. The atmosphere was welcoming with a warm and cosy buzz on a quite Sunday morning. Thank you and see you again next time I'm here.

I’ve lived in Richmond my entire life and can honestly say this is the BEST cafe in town!! The sausages with the full English were so delicious and my mother’s avocado and feta dish was also superb! You can tell they really care about good quality food and customer service, staff are lovely and atmosphere is very nice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND🔥

We went for the roast on a Sunday and it was very nice. My only criticism is the pork was quite fatty and more veggies/ potatoes would have been good but we really enjoyed it overall. The staff and so lovely and friendly! We will definitely be coming back.

Stumbled across this delightful little bistro this morning whilst walking the dog. Will most definitely be returning again soon. Food was great - Had the vegetarian breakfast which included coffee (or tea an option) which I thought was great value for money and nicely cooked. Usually we walk over the bridge into Kingston to grab a coffee....definitely won't be doing that anymore. Also allowed us to take the dog inside :) so that a big plus for us.

Really lovely pub where the Sunday lunch is epic! I didn’t even take a picture of my pie but it was incredible - completely homemade and will defo return! If you want a full Sunday Roast then you need to book - but we were lucky there were pies available for the walk-ins! Staff super friendly and attentive and food incredible! AJ’s Pies are perfect!

Service was wonderful and very personable and the carrot cake in particular was delicious. Lovely outdoor seating area.
