Recommended by friends who live locally! This did not disappoint! Fabulous brunch! Real taste sensation and great service too. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

This is the best coffee in the whole of London! Seriously! The place is so pretty, so we’ll run; the staff are excellent and the bacon sandwiches are the most delicious things to behold! I cannot recommend this place enough. Nico & Anna will welcome you.

I went here for the first time and was really excited about trying somewhere new. The food awful and the salad was a bowl of spinach with some microwaved halloumi and chicken. There was no dressing and it was tasteless. The toilets were disgusting, dirty, no toilet roll and a big hole in the wall next to the toilet. It summed up the experience. I I won't be going back.

We were looking for somewhere to take my Dad for lunch, and having lived on WHL for over 50 years, we always look to support local businesses. We weren't disappointed - the staff were so friendly, and the food was great. There's a lovely atmosphere in the place too. Can highly recommend.

I realised that I posted a previous review on an account I don't use - my review is below. Long short, this place is awesome. Pastrami sandwich is a thing of beauty.

Walking down White Hart Lane on my way back to "the office" - AKA kitchen table, I past by No.40. I had seen it before but for whatever reason I hadn't gone in. As it was lunchtime, having nothing at home and not being able to bear the queues at the supermarket, I ordered a Pastrami sandwich from No.40. Oh My Word, life changing! Delicious and filling and tasty and well made and and and. I'll be back.

Love this place. Cool decor, very friendly staff and satisfying menu carefully prepared. Our favourite lunchtime treat with my Labrador who gets very special attention and crispy bacon served just how he likes it. My your business I from strength to strength.

Friendly . Great coffee and food . Serves dinner on the weekends . Really lovely cafe to bring family or meet friends or just have some time alone with a book.

Had breakfast here recently, and was served by an excellent server named Henry! The best server ever! He was very kind and helpful and the food was amazing! The coffee was so good and pastries were amazing and fresh! Eggs and bacon were also cooked perfectly! Because of the amazing service and food i'll be coming back here to eat really soon! Highly recommend!

We went last night with friends as a last minute decision and was pleasantly surprised. Really lovely meal ..I would recommend the chicken burger. Great service.

Went for an evening meal with friends. Outstanding food with a great atmosphere and very welcoming staff and owner/chef. Starters were fresh and well thought through, Mains - sea bass, steak, burger, were all superb and with a great selection of wine all of which was reasonably priced. A hidden gem in Mortlake - successful as a cafe and daytime eating already but the evening menu was excellent.

Stopped at No. 40 for lunch on Monday. Sat outside with our dog. A lovely waitress asked if we would like to come inside with our pup (as it was a bit chilly). So glad to know that No. 40 is dog friendly- we will be popping in more frequently! Lunch was really lovely- I had roast sweet potato and fig salad, really good! The atmosphere was really relaxed, the interior is very inviting and the lunch was also not very expensive. Really lovely little gem in Barnes.
