Avocado & Lemon in Richmond upon Thames

We visited last Sunday for Breakfast, mid morning. A good buzz in the place, lots of people. At least 3 empty tables which held 4 people, we were 2. We asked for a table, we were told none were available. They were 'reserved' it seems, there was nothing on the table to indicate they were reserved. We asked if somewhere nearby could be recommended, the reply we got was a strange one "I'm not familiar with the area but if you try the streets nearby (pointing left and right) I'm sure you will find somewhere" That was our visit.

Really top quality food, cooked really well with friendly staff.

One of my favourite breakfasts/ brunch places in London. The food is so soulful and well seasoned. Always fresh. You won't be disappointed.

Avocado and Lemon has the potential to become a fast favourite for us! Friendly staff, delicious and flavourful food, ideal location, and really cozy! Plenty of vegan/veggie options and ability to customise and add bits. The blueberry muffin was mouthwateringly good! 😍 Price is spot on for the quality and quantity you get, too.

Pretty safe bet for brunch, food is tasty, service is fast and polite. The house breakfast is a delight, the eggs Benedict need some refinement and the coffee is good

Underwhelming. Paying £11 for Eggs Benedict will always be a frustration and something I have to get used to (it’s the same everywhere) but to wait half an hour for it to be cold and on a single slice of bread is criminal. I would have preferred to leave this feedback verbally but was never asked how my meal was.

This place is lovely. Always a delicious breakfast and the team are very friendly. Good value and dog friendly.

Went in today after popping in once a month thought I should review - the young man serving is super professional and polite as is the lady at the till, the other kind of rushed us when ordering, but then saw she was trying to do it before a big group ordered! - great staff! Food was great and the children’s menu is spot on for what children are looking for. Their fries are spectacular! Food was good and small touches like Himalayan salt on tables make all the difference!

Second time I’ve been for this brunch venue and it gives out lovely dishes. I’ve had lovely coffee May just the way I like it and they’re very friendly. Great value

Had brunch here and the food and hot drinks were all lovely! Good value for money and a really nice range of vegetarian and vegan food options. Lovely staff and a really nice atmosphere for catching up with friends. Would recommend the vegan breakfast highly!

Chose this establishment as it catered for both vegans and non-vegans, we all loved the food! All three of the regular, vegetarian, and vegan breakfasts were tried and they nailed each one. The staff were very friendly and the vibes were on point. Planning to go back soon!

Fabulous food and lovely staff! Everything seems to be home made, proper butchers sausages and runny poached eggs. My new favourite brunch spot. Dog friendly and staff are great with kids.

Good vibe however went there today, coffee burnt and the eggs Benedict also had an overwhelming smoky/burnt flavour to it too! Might just be that meal but wasn’t the best unfortunately. Staff lovely though!

Nice restaurant and friendly staff , but come on guys if we order toast jam+butter can we have 2 slices and not 1 slice cut in half. You would never get this at a hotel breakfast being served one slice of toast , normally it is a rack ! , we did order another slice and had to pay for it. Thank you

LOVE this place!!! Took a decently long trip from London to come here and I’m so glad I did! Benedict eggs and granola bowl were absolutely delicious! Looking forward to come again 🤤

As the ratings express A+L excels at what it intends to do. Great tasting food with great clean service. The breakfast for two with dirty chai lattes will satisfy your needs.

Apart from loving the name Avocado & Lemon have some nice and fun alternatives to breakfast that others do not offer. The staff I had were friendly and nicely attentive ( not in your face). Chef looked happy in the kitchen and it was nice to see and hear him working. Lovely place to go..

One of the best places to eat great food all cooked fresh and such lovely staff too. I miss visiting you as we’ve moved but no doubt about it when I pop into Twickers I always make a big effort to have the best cooked breakfast and wonderful coffee ❤️ Please try and open a shop near Staines Upon Thames as we would really welcome your great Resturant here 🌼🦋🌼

Alright for the price range, don't expect too much 🤪

Visited first time, the table I got was dirty and sticky no one cleaned it before I seated. The coffee was good, I got smashed avocado on toast, the avocado was fresh and tasty but the bread was too burned and tasted bitter. I will give it another go. The lady who served was very kind

The food was delicious, at a good price, they had gluten free options and the staff was super nice. We really enjoyed our time there and the food. Breakfast is served all day, so I did at 2pm

What a delicious breakfast! Interesting and enticing menu, lots of vegan options (thank you) and the most delicious shakshuka tomato stew you can ever imagine. Friendly, warm service, great coffee and ambience - the sort of place that leaves you feeling satisfied and content!

My family and I ate brunch there recently and really loved our experience. The food was very fresh and there were a lot of unique items to choose from on the menu. We will definitely be back!

Usually head up to Twickenham on the weekends so surprised I haven’t popped into visit this place already as been looking for a decent breakfast/brunch venue in the area. This place doesn’t disappoint. Full Breakfast and brunch menu and really attentive staff. Ordered the house breakfast with tea - very good portion (the beans surprisingly good) - also do Eggs Florentine and Eggs Bendict but next time will try the Traditional Shakshuka. Only a short walk from Twickenham station, near the William Web Ellis pub.

Really good place for brunch, with vegan and vegetarian options, I would totally recommend the vegetarian breakfast, it was delicious.

My husband and I went for brunch here today. Being completely honest the food was okay but nothing special. I had the Mish Mash which lacked in flavour but when I asked for more feta they were happy to oblige, no questions asked. My husband had the breakfast. The sausage and bacon was dry and it was very mediocre. The service on the other hand was excellent. A lady called Festina was brilliant, she was really friendly and fun and very attentive and the vibe was good in the cafe. Good service is hard to find these days, it’s just a shame that the food doesn’t match up.

We had a really lovely breakfast/brunch here - the food was hot, flavoursome and all tasted very fresh, and staff were friendly and accommodating. There was a good range of vegan options, including a vegan blueberry muffin which was very tasty! Just a heads up, the place is not overly large, so when we left there was a bit of a queue forming, and a bit of a wait for a table (this was on a Saturday at approx. 11am-midday).

Outstanding quality of food and the presentation is immaculate. Carlos, a current waiter there, also has the banter. Great experience all round.

Breakfast with husband today, however very disappointing.

Went today for a breakfast. The bacon was pre-cooked and then fried. Completely black mushrooms. And the other breakfast had a hair in it. Swapped for eggs benedict, which were meant to be poached but were raw instead, and the Parma ham looked brown. Thought they loved what they do...

Fantastic. Warm welcome, great food, lovely atmosphere. We went before the rugby. Great, fresh food. Great tea and coffee and a very good Bloody Mary too. Great value for money

We had a wonderful Sunday brunch yesterday. A group ranging from 3 months to 70! A marvellous selection of very delicious food that catered brilliantly for a toddler, a vegan, a vegetarian and a gluten intolerance!!! The staff are great and the atmosphere is too, we will definitely be back. Thank you

Really delicious food, with friendly staff and there are quite a few different options than the typical breakfast (and generally seems a little healthier too!). Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a brunch/lunch place.

Lovely cafe, with great food and drink. I hung out for an extended period of time and worked, while waiting for glasses repair at nearby Specsavers. And the staff have been super friendly and accommodating. Much appreciated shelter on a rainy day!

I bought a very good quality falafel wrap here - delicious falafel with a crunchy coating, filled with fresh salad, at a price that rivals Sidra (just around the corner). Unlike there, you don't get any extras with it, though. However, I prefer the taste of A&L. The restaurant doesn't seem very geared towards the takeaway customers though - it was assumed that I would be eating in, and I was asked which table I would like; this also seemed to be the reason for the bare presentation in the takeaway box - just sitting there, alone and ungarnished, without even a wrapping to protect its modesty 😁 Nevertheless, I would urge wrap lovers to give this place a try.

Friendly staff. Cafe is nice, serving a good range of brunch. The coffee is good but could be served a little bit hotter. Dog friendly. The food is good but a little overpriced for what I got.. I liked it but didn't love it. I would go back of I was in the area again though.

What a great surprise! We had the most amazing breakfast here a few weeks back. I was keeping meaning to write a review as it so hard to find a good place for the whole family but this lovely place with great staff definitely nailed it.

This is quickly becoming one of my favourite little cafes when I'm in the Twickenham area. The service is always brilliant, everyone who works there is very friendly and polite and I love their menu choices. I haven't yet tried any of their lunch/dinner options but everything sounds delicious and the breakfast/brunch things that I have tried have never disappointed me. I also like that they serve alcohol! I will definitely be back again soon - thank you :)

The menu looked very nice with good vegan options for breakfast. We went inside, sat down and found that they charge £0.50 for non-dairy milks in a coffee. It is not that much more expensive and just using people who care about animal welfare as money-makers. Very disappointing!

Delicious brunch from this excellent little spot in Twickenham.

Having not not been in the U.K. thanks to pandemic for 30 months and living in part of the world where pork is a no-no I found this small independent eatery having just been to the opticians. The menu showed full breakfast including GF sausage, smoked bacon, home made baked beans with mint and paprika, poached eggs Sour Dough toast and something I had to Google “Shakshuka” which is a Tunisian side mixed vegetable sauce with just the right mixture of spice. Wow it was amazing.

Had the breakfast which is obviously based on an English full bifta but with some delightfully quirky differences, excellent flavours, great service so well worth a visit.

I popped in here for a quick bit of grub as I was fancying some sort of brekkie/brunch. Straight away I was greeted by a lovely friendly woman who offered me a choice of seats and grabbed me a menu. I had a cappuccino and their ‘house breakfast’ and both were delicious, even the coffee was good and I’m sometimes quite fussy! The only thing about the coffee though, was it was £3.10 and one of the smallest coffees I’d had, but it was nice. The house breakfast was gorgeous, it was a delicious mix of items (not quite your average brekkie, also included some paprika/mint beans and a mini pot of shakshuka) but it was one of the best I’ve had in ages. Their bacon was nice and crispy and the poached eggs were perfectly runny, the only tiny things - if I’m looking for critiques, would be I would have loved some butter with the toast (I’m sure I could have asked for this) and likewise, no one asked if I wanted any sauces - but that said everything was so nice it didn’t really need it anyway! The bill came to just under £15 which makes it a little pricey for what it was and so sadly I won’t be popping in every time I’m working around the corner - but I’ll def be back here and there for a treat! I also liked that they serve alcohol, in case you fancy a wine or a cocktail with your lunch! And they also do an evening menu as well.

Friendly staff and swift service. The full English with Shashuka was lovely and not overfilling. The Eggs Benedict was light with a decent hollandaise. Coffees were solid. Would go back.

Great place to eat still great simple food

I went there based on the food reviews, and overall I'd say it was pretty good! The only reason why I'm knocking one star off is because the Bloody Mary was AWFUL. Tasted like pure tomato juice with not much else in it - in fact, it didn't even taste like there was alcohol in it! When we questioned if there was any even in there, they told us that they forgot it in the last one they made, but definitely put it in ours. Not even an offer to make another, and we had to ask for tabasco sauce in an attempt to make it drinkable. All in all, I'd probably go back for the food but not the drinks.
