Proper British pub! Breakfast was excellent and great value for money!

My partner and I often visit Hackney City Farm which we love, and three or four weekends ago we thought we'd extend our visit with brunch at Frizzante, which looked very appealing in a leafy environment with outdoor tables. All very nice. Unfortunately, weeks later I still feel liked we were totally ripped off, and I would never usually bother to give a bad review but felt I should share our experience so other people can avoid wasting their money on something they could probably make better and certainly cheaper at home. We ordered two drinks and two portions of the halloumi brunch. One of the drinks we got was not what we ordered, but coffee is coffee so never-mind. Our food was the real disappointment. What we were served was one slice of sourdough with a pile of wet, suspicious coloured cold scrambled egg, a meagre portion of underdone halloumi, and three slices of hard unripe avocado, all of which was completely unseasoned. And for this, we were charged £13.50 each... It's not hard to do brunch well. Just salt and pepper would help. When people could choose to spend their cash in any one of many other cafes and restaurants in the area, it was baffling how little effort had gone into these meals at these prices. Even the waiting staff (who to be fair were very attentive) looked uncomfortable asking how our food was. We won't be going back.

From the street this small restaurant is uninviting but it is a hidden gem. We chose the prix fixe menu, with a choice of 3 dishes in each category. Portions naturally are small, beautifully presented. We enjoyed squid, black ravioli, a delicious concoction of artichoke and cucumber, monkfish, and dessert. A memorable evening.

Top service from the lady taking the order! Shame they only do cashless as they have great vegan pastries! But a shop that refuses cash is not customer friendly. Clientele quite entitled here as well by dhowi g no regard to other customers. So despite great coffee and great coffee cups it’s a no.

Expensive, pretentious and no product knowledge whatsoever at the till. Every time I've been there (and I generally stay away), service has been appalling (usually the older black French guy is ridiculously rude, this time it was someone else not knowing anything at all about sourcing of fruits and not even attempting to venture an answer).

Este fue un gran brunch sin fondo - entretenimiento era 10 / 10 solo un gran día fuera totalmente recomendable a todo el mundo! ¡Tienes que irte!

Muy buen lugar, el personal de seguridad era muy agradable y educado, el personal del bar era encantador también. La azotea estaba cerrada, pero todavía podíamos usarlo para fumar. Mi amiga perdió su abrigo, pero la seguridad caminó con ella hasta que lo encontró. Gracias y con ganas de volver el próximo año

Delicious, tried both a doughnut and a cronut, and the owners are so friendly and lovely, will definitely eat these again!

I've been coming here once a month for the past few months but always bought alcohol. Tonight I bought a glass of soda water and a pint. The pint was £5.90 but the soda water was £3.50!!!!! Most places don't even charge for soda water. I'll not be back

Pasé aquí a tomar unas cervezas con amigos un sábado. Vinimos durante el día y el pub estaba bien con deportes en la televisión. Encontramos una mesa a tomar unas cervezas, estaba bien y se puso más ocupado más tarde.
