I used to love coming here to grab a coffee for work but recently I’ve noticed they must have changed their coffee beans as it definitely doesn’t taste the same/nice. They are always late opening as I’ve noticed now on numerous occasions and the atmosphere created by the workers there just isnt the same. I don’t know if they’re new staff but they’re all just not very talkative/ friendly and seem like they do not want to be there. Such a shame because I used to love their coffee and coming here .

Had an annual work party here at All Bar one, Holborn. It's been wonderful, and Jaan made everything just so beautiful. He was kind and patient with our colleagues. The staff made sure we had everything for a wonderful evening Can't thank them enough...

Tuve una muy mala experiencia hoy en el Covent Garden Black Penny esta mañana. Nosotros no reservamos, pero nos reunimos con amigos para el desayuno a las 10 . 45 am y el local estaba medio vacío. Estábamos sentados en un banco que no era adecuado para las necesidades de movilidad de nuestro partido y el servidor nos habló y no pude entender realmente lo que decía, no hablo italiano (? ) y realmente luchó por comprender lo que se dijo -a nosotros- en lugar de a nosotros. Nos trasladaron y pedimos desayuno para dos y cafés. Nuestro amigo nos recibió a las 10. 50 y pidió desayuno y café. Pedimos más café y más amigos intentaron unirse a nosotros a las 11. 45 am. Nos pidieron que nos fuéramos, lo cual me pareció muy extraño. La razón es que no podíamos tener la mesa por más tiempo ya que era la hora del almuerzo. Nuestra factura era de £ 75 en este punto y estábamos a punto de pedir más comida y bebidas. Nos pidieron que nos fuéramos. Todos somos profesionales trabajadores y no era ruidoso , ni teníamos nuestros portátiles fuera ( como estipula Black Penny ) . Encontramos este comportamiento bastante embarazoso frente a los otros dos clientes que estaban allí y totalmente poco profesional. Afortunadamente nuestros amigos se rieron y nos recibieron en el pub de enfrente, pero creo que hay que tener en cuenta esto, que nos trataron así. Es increíble que las pequeñas empresas puedan rechazar a los clientes, y mucho menos echarlos. Podríamos haber gastado más dinero aquí pero claramente después de una hora se niegan a servirte. Nos pareció que el personal era bastante grosero y totalitario y sin duda le dirá a los amigos que no use Black Penny. Vale la pena señalar que cuando a mitad de camino por la puerta el servidor murmuró algo sobre un piso de abajo pero después de gastar 70 libras en el desayuno no estábamos preparados para gastar más dinero aquí y de todos modos puede que nos hayan tirado de la mesa de nuevo!

Como parte de un día de cumpleaños en Londres mi esposa nos había reservado en Pick and Cheese para el almuerzo, que era necesario ya que estaba lleno. Siempre me ha gustado probarlo, pero me preocupaba que fuera un fracaso - me equivoqué, ya que era una cosa encantadora que hacer. En lugar de parecer impersonal, ya que esencialmente te sirves a ti mismo, fuimos atendidos por Bureyqa que se aseguró de que sabíamos lo que teníamos que hacer y que teníamos todo lo que necesitábamos cuando lo necesitábamos. Muy amable y servicial. Obtienes tantos tazones 'gratis' de galletas saladas como quieras (no estoy seguro de por qué un crítico se quejó de que solo les dieron un tazón) y también tuvimos algunas de las (encantadoras) rodajas de baguette de masa madre con mantequilla. Las muchas combinaciones de queso y acompañamientos se detallaron en un pequeño menú que luego podría marcar sus opciones y llevarse consigo. Teníamos siete platos, incluyendo un Lowfields Lancashire con cuajada de limón, Beauvale con panal y Cornish Yarg con guisante y menta Pesto. Muy divertido y sabroso. Soy un poco fanático del queso, así que probar quesos nuevos o combinaciones nuevas fue muy agradable, y también charlamos con la gente a nuestro lado para sugerir favoritos. Un crítico se quejó de que el queso estaba sudado y los artículos no eran frescos - solo puedo asumir que las cosas han mejorado enormemente desde su visita y el nuestro era fresco y muy sabroso. No, no es barato, pero tampoco es una locura. Volveremos - con suerte servido por el encantador Bureyqa de nuevo!

Spent a very pleasant 6 hours here catching up with an old mate. Place was comfy and 2 very nice barmaids! Choice of beers was great and finally settled on a ProperJob on draught. I think we had some nice food along the way. Tad expensive per pint!

Had been planning on visiting Rondo for a few months and finally did. Love the vibe when we entered the Hoxton and had a drink before being shown to our table. Tables closer to the lovvy were a bit louder, but we were shown to a table further back where we enjoyed the music and could converse easily. Margaux was our waitress and she was sharp. We ordered our drinks and my wife also asked for ice in a glass. After Margaux left, my wife said she would forget the ice. 2 minutes later a glass of ice arrived at our table. She helped us with the menu and looked after us all night long. I had the whole sea bream and my wife had the cod, both of which were excellent, accompanied by perfectly cooked vegetables and the best crispy roasted potatoes in skin that I have ever had. Wine list was very good also. Great experience and will be back again.

I’ve bought a number of Too a good to Go bags from various Fabrique outlets and sometimes the contents are good and other times not so good. This one was truly terrible- so terrible that most of it got thrown in the bin when I got home. Basically two separate halves of a Mr Bread loaf. I’ve never had such a lack of variety and won’t be using this store again

Fantastic little tea shop, lovely staff very friendly. Shame it’s not a bit bigger, but it may loose its charm then. The cakes are really nice, as was the black tea even supplied with a timer to get the brew just right.

Quirky coffee shop. Small, wish I had time to sit in. Limited seating but cosy. Friendly staff. Coffee, breakfast pastries and a few other items. The muffin was delicious and huge. I would have tried the coffee but my office give free coffee! Friendly and fast service. Would recommend.
