Had a bacon and egg sandwich £11 ! Really definitely not £11 worth, had more oil dripping from it than in a chip fryer, egg not runny but just oily, bacon was nice. Don't accept cash either.

Overpriced coffee. WiFi didn’t work. Had run out of the drink I wanted (matcha). No soy milk, only oat milk. Drink did not taste good.

Had family brunch on a quiet post-pandemic weekday - what a treat! We were served the most amazing Shakshuka, with just enough kick to lift but not mask the complexity of the freshly made tomato sauce. The eggs were soft boiled and the exceptional sourdough bread lightly fried...the dish would not be out of place in a Michelin-star restaurant and cost a fraction of the price. Turns out the owners are committed foodies who give artistic license to their very talented chefs to experiment and expand on what they call a 'greek-centric' approach with influences and ingredients meticulously sourced. No wonder this unassuming cafe in the heart of Holborn has grown a reputation as a favourite chef hang out. Make a bee-line for Catalyst - and don't be shy to strike up a conversation with staff - they love what they do and it shows.

Suggested by a greek friend, during our last stay in London we tasted delicious food in this little restaurant looking from the big windows. Great experience, hope to come there again😋

Visited around 1.30pm on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Very small menu around 8 choices ...4 of which had sold out. Small selection of cold sandwiches available. I had the sausages...such a mish mash of avocado on sourdough toast on a bed of slaw with 2 sausages on the side and an egg with gravy poured all over it???!!! Mmmm...all I can say is I passed better places to eat before I reached this place to meet someone for lunch.

I wished I had a picture of my Halloumi katsu and my friends Babaganoush but they looked smelled and tasted too good ar the time for us to even think about it. Food here is seriously good. Other reviews i read state a pricey lunch menu? Are we being serious? For the quality of the dishes this places is serving this must be value for money one of the best place to eat in London.

What a great find! I love this cafe the decor is bright and modern, very pretty. There’s a great selection of drinks including some unusual things - I had the blueberry smoothie with espresso which was tasty. My friend had a gorgeous brownie which was only £1.50 so very good value. Service and staff are great. I highly recommend checking this place out, it’s a perfect place to catch up in central London.

I have been here before and really enjoyed the coffee I had. So having some time before my first meeting of the day, and it been a really long time since I had coffee, I decided to stop and have a flat white. The food looks really interesting, but also seems a little pricey compared to the coffee. So not feeling hungry I had the coffee, They certainly take care when making the coffee, and they will bring it to your table, so I took a seat and waited. They did initially confuse me with another order, but then my flat white arrived it looked perfect.

The coffee served here is been roasted in house , 100% arabica, light roast speciality coffee from aprx 10 single origins. You can enjoy it as espresso and filter by the bar or buy beans for home . The staff is very friendly and attentive , they do not charge service charge - although they bring the orders to the table. Apart from the awesome coffee - the food here is one of the best you can find in London’s cafes . The brunch menu has arabesque / grecocentric influences , as the talented chef (Vasilis Chamam) is half Greek half Palestinian. The Shakshuka is my fav along with the chicken soup, the vegan Avo Baba Ganoush and many many other times of the menu... Every Friday, they do bar snacks in the evening with a very “crazy” menu (example, grilled octopus , tripe, offal etc). Their cocktails are the best vfm you could ever find in London (£7 for a delish Negroni or old fashioned with big hand craved ice which doesn’t dilute your drink) All in all, I would highly recommend if you like food and good coffee !

Catalyst roasts its own coffee in the basement and roasts to a medium profile. The cortados are delicious, as the baristas' milk frothing skills are impeccable. Filter coffee, both batch brew and V60 are very good. The cafe also serves delicious food with vegetarian options that are not an afterthought.

We loved our lunch at Carrots and Daikon yesterday. I had the garlic tofu Banh mi and my husband had the tofu lunch box. The baguette forming my Banh mi was the perfect combination of crunch with a soft centre and the tofu was nicely garlicky. What really made our day were the ice creams! The chrysanthemum and mango ice cream was such a fantastic combination and the matcha and pistachio was delicious too. We then bought one of each of the other flavours and I must admit that the combinations are creative genius! Who would’ve thought that mint choc chip would go with coffee and raspberry and jasmine tea with its floral notes would hit the spot?! I thought that the coconut and lemongrass was super refreshing too. Thank you to the friendly folk at C & D.

Friendly neighbourhood pub - good selection of beers and have started doing good food again! Outside area is great on a warm day - generally tends to be a good atmosphere.

Opened last year or early this year..very pleasant and airy bar / cafe, which if you're arriving early for a meeting or finishing early, is a nice place to chew over the errors in your recent ritual meeting! As usual in London all a bit pricey but very convenient after a meeting in the Temples. Very bright and tastefully decorated with the usual good staff.
