A good place to enjoy a good hot drink before visiting the British Museum. The prices are very reasonable considering the location.

Il locale è di stile retrò ma molto accogliente; fuori vi sono anche un paio di tavolini con vista sul museo. Io ad esempio, visto che eravamo in fila per entrare al museo, sono entrato per un veloce caffè espresso e alcune brioche da asporto.

I recently visited and was thoroughly impressed! The atmosphere has a fantastic vibe—perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. I tried their matcha, which had a delightful twist of vanilla. It was unique and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a great coffee experience!

Small, cosy place in front of the British Museum. Only had green tea, so I can't speak on the quality of the food etc. It has a great ambience - very nice window seat that looks onto the British Museum. It's a quiet place - a good break from the hustle and bustle of the street it's on.

Absolutely lovely little spot. Surprisingly, it was not busy. I suspected differently because of how close it is to the museum. I have been in London for a week, and this is the most delicious thing I have had so far. I had a lovely pastry and a turmeric and cinnamon latte. Latte wasn't my favorite. The pastry, I'd compare it to a cinnamon roll taste and banana bread consistency. The atmosphere was a mix between boho and retro. Seating is tight, the lighting is poor and I couldn't get the wifi to work. But otherwise it's a nice spot.

Wasn't very happy about the food. We ordered three pastries (among the 4 they were offering) and they all were dry. The matcha was very sweet but ok. Good atmosphere.

Delicious coffee, excellent pastries, in beautiful surroundings and fairly priced. This has to be one of the best little cafés in London. Their cardamom swirl was a delicious twist on the cinnamon based American staple. Don't miss stopping by if you are visiting the British Museum.

This is simply one of the best cafes in central London. It sits just across the road from the British Museum, making it a perfect spot for stopping by when out and about to the museum. It is a lovely location for both tourists and locals. It’s specialty coffee and deserts are delicious! The interior is cozy and aesthetically pleasing, and the major plus is the option for isolated seating. When not busy, ir is a perfect spot for working or studying. Free Wi-Fi is offered with a speedy connection. The staff is friendly and kind, overall superb experience!

One of the few coffee-focused places in London that is trying to do something different with its ambience. Elegant cups, seating, and interior design, with the Jewish-Polish babka offered as its main bakery. Oddly, could do better with its coffee. Convenient for the British Museum queue.

Very cute shop to rest and read before or after you head to the British Museum. Space is tight but the seating is very cozy, especially so in a rainy day. Their coffee is extremely good (I got the long black) and compared to nearby cafes, well priced. Nice cups too. This is very minor, but I thought their bathroom was freezing.

The barista was very helpful with coffee types. The coffee I had was delicious. Cake selection was small but I suppose it's not a very big cafe. Location is right opposite British museum.

Something different, quaint, cozy and perfect ambiance to start your day. Wish we had found it earlier as once we did we had our coffee and croissant there every morning. If you like people watching you can relax outside while people queue for the British Museum and your coffee will be served via the window. I loved it.

The coffees were really excellent. The chocolate babka tasted slightly stale unfortunately. There weren’t many tables inside but we eventually got one, which was nice. Good place for coffee.

A delightful little nook in the heart of museum land.

It says Café, but it serves really great coffee! The entrance and main shop is modern and nicely done, but inside lunchroom is dark and doom, but it adds to the shop. It is in progress say. It is worth the visit when you go to the British Museum for example. All is home made, so don't expect croissant. But you will get a good choice of home made cakes. And bananas! Much to the delight of our little one, because she couldn't trust her eyes yet with the cakes. Shame, cakes were worth it!

Super nice and chill cafe right across the British Museum... I just had a warming tumeric latte, and enjoyed the beautiful tulips by the window and looking at the view of the British Museum, whilst enjoying to their retro golden playlist. Beautiful vintage design too. Worth to come!

The worst experience I’ve had entering a coffee place. No acknowledgment from the cafe staff when entered. There’s no one there waiting for order, he was just there wiping his coffee machine. When asked if we should order at the bar or at the table, he just looked at us, shrugged and didn’t give any response. We felt so unwelcomed and left without ordering anything. Absolutely ruined our experience with all the beautiful hospitality received elsewhere in London. It’s a shame as the location of this place is so close to the British Museum.

Great tea and coffee, slightly let down with the use of disposable cups, but the great service and the friendly owner make up for it. Charming 1920s-style decor and comfortable seating space at the back, separated from the counter and take-away area, velvet chairs, marble-top tables — there is a sense of peace and elegance that's quite the find in this touristy part of London. ...and of course Babka! While all the other pastries and baked goods are delicious, you're here for the namesake Babka. Have it freshly baked and with some coffee and you'll be in for a treat. The only criticism I have is that on multiple occasions I have seen a slice or two of babka in the morning, clearly a day old (if not older). I'd recommend you look and ask before buying, stale babka is not amazing.

Calm and peaceful oasis near the British Museum. The babka, as suggested by the name, is a cake that goes well with coffee and comes in cinnamon or chocolate hazelnut, and is delicious. They also offer tea cake which looked really good. But you're here for the babka, be honest.

After sweltering in the British Museum in a heatwave, we found an island of peace and calm. A chance to sip coffee and cool water in a gothic parlour with all the heat and bustle excluded. A life-saver!

I honestly love this cafe! It's a place where you can forget about the outside world and just relax with some amazing blues playing. The coffee is great and if you get the opportunity have an almond cake! Couldn't take a picture as I was too busy gobbling it.

Cute space (although small)- there’s an additional room in the back with a few chairs! They got wifi and a few places to sit with a laptop- though they are limited. My oat latte was quite nice, as was the chocolate babka which had nuts in it. The price for both was 5 pounds which seems really reasonable for London/the area! The only drawbacks were that the staff member was a bit rude (maybe he was having a bad day?), and coffee was served in disposable rather than reusable cups.
