The food was ok, my fish overcooked, 3 meals came out together, the forth one was 15mins after, the very rude bar man, Noel Gallagher lookalike, wearing dark sunglasses was very rude and unhelpful, will never go again 😎

The Fox and Pud is the best pub in south London, easy place to spend time with friends and family.

Super busy but lovely pub! A historic place

This pud is very cute and comfortable, well furnished and warm! The staff are friendly and there is a good choice of beer. We went for the sunday roast and it was very good, a nice portion with all the parts of the dish that make it traditional! Other dishes on the menu looked interesting too. I recommend making a reservation to eat.

We popped in for a few pints. All of a sudden "Cigarettes and Alcohol" was cranked and the entire place was chanting the lyrics. At that point, We knew these were our people. Best Pub in London. Staff was kind. We will return.

I couldn't go inside the bar, but the mural right behind the unforgettable Amy Winehouse is worth seeing.

Love Camden but not been to this pub before. We went due to Amy connection, the mural outside is stunning , the pub is ok , drinks were fine , the food looked fab. There were plenty of pics on the walls of loads of musicians not just Amy.

Sold out of vegetarian options on a Saturday evening, but offered complementary chips once those orders were cancelled

The pub is in a great location, had a nice and cozy rear garden and terrace. Unfortunately the smell of stale beer was overpowering which would say cleanliness isn’t one of their priorities

Stopped at the door by bouncer / security today at around 4.30pm on a Saturday (12/10/2024) and asked for ID ( I visibly look older then 18/25) upon presenting my valid and in date citizens card which is recognised in most places as Photo ID was informed that they could only accept a valid driver license or a passport/ photo of these documents to allow entry which I didn’t have on hand. Apparently this form of ID is not seen as valid anymore by the training providers for the security staff at the door even though is endorsed by the home office as well as police as a form of valid photo ID for use. I have never seen this anywhere else in Camden before or anywhere else in my years of using the card. Ultimately the venue's in the right and is able to refuse entry for whatever reason including for a preference of ID I just found the experience very bizarre considering the time of day and the venue itself was a pub and not a club my ID has been accepted by most clubs so was a surprise and appeared excessive and myself and my partner were very disappointed as was not allowed in… Unsure if would go back given the experience. Ps I dont blame the security guard if that is the policy as there just doing there job but is very bizarre rules if true.

A historical pup in Camden Town. The atmosphere is every evening nice. The bartenders are very kind. A typical britsh pup well.

Where do I start. First of all stopped at the door by the bouncer in the middle of the day on a Saturday to tell me and my friends that there wasn’t enough room and to come back in 20 minutes. Manage to get in as the pub was semi empty. Second red flag was when the lady work behind the bar started snapping at us for no reason at all. Very rude bitter old lady that obviously hates her life and the world around her. Third red flag. We were stationed at the bar and heard screams from an obviously intoxicated young lady for us to move so she could order an another drink to fuel her alcohol addiction. What can I say other then I would not recommend nor would I ever go back unless I get the urge to be verbally attacked by a lot of very strange unusual peeople around a pub. Would give zero stars but sadly I have to give 1. Ps the food looked vile as well.

Loud, bustling, good vibes. Beer always used to be good, but had a bottle of low alcohol the last time I popped in. Reminds me of how pubs used to be. Lively, a place for a good night.

Sunday Roast with home made Horseradish to die for.

Horrible roast! The pork was DEAD dry. I’m not sure in the chefs ability but that’s the worst Sunday roast me and my friend had, it really ruined our Sunday! The chicken was also dry and that’s the first time we needed to pay Extra for Yorkshire pudding £1.5 for one. I mean come on Sunday roast workout Yorkshire pudding? What’s that? I don’t want to kill the business but they definitely have to put some effort to do better in the future. I had to give the rest of the pork to our dog - as it wasn’t suitable for humans. The coffee was good and staff was friendly however the server didn’t seem to take our feedback seriously, and she even replied well the quality of the food was good. I won’t be taking anyone again here.

We had a very good Sunday lunch last November (5 star reviews ) so we went back today…unfortunately we didn’t have the same positive experience…we waited probably 35”+ to get 4 orders of the beef with roasted potatoes some pumpkin mash, cabbage , broccoli … all of the above being served barely lukewarm / cold rather… we should have send all back rather then asking for some more very hot gravy (gravy was btw quite watery ) hoping it would have helped to get a warm bite… Today was not worth for what we paid.

The atmosphere is special always, in some way I feel like the most beautiful rockstar just drink a bear and is glad to receive you

The place is cozy and alternative, with good music and the fish and chips are very good and the dishes are abundant. The service, the waitresses were a bit slow, but fine if you go through Candem, it is a good place to go.

Stepped into the Hawley Arms with my 19 year old son for a drink and to soak up the atmosphere and pay our respects to Amy Winehouse. Great music lovely staff and doorman. Thank you we will remember the lovely evening we had 22.9

Wanted to go to this pub to have something to eat and drink and see if there was any Amy Winehouse memorabilia, We asked one staff member where a certain places was he acted like we was bothering him and was not friendly at all, there was also a female bar staff member who looked like she just woke up and seemed she couldn’t be bothered with us either, and the atmosphere was dull, we ordered drinks and left quickly after and decided to get food elsewhere we felt that uncomfortable, would never return

Had Sunday lunch and it was nice but could have been hotter but staff helpful.

Pub right next to (across) the railway bridge that marks Candem Lock. Amy worked there, and many musicians from 20 years ago came as clients. Good atmosphere, 2 floors, 10-rated music. Good vibes.

I was unsure of what to expect from a pub in Camden as it's not my local area and I'm more of the quiet type, but this pub has such a lively and comfortable atmosphere! While the food menu was a little pricey, the food was tasty and arrived hot! The Pint of Chips was brilliant too. Drinks were just as good and the staff were great at keeping up with constant customers whilst pulling a few pints! Very positive experience here and I understand why so many people rave about this place!

Very warm bar with a pure rock & roll atmosphere! We come there to see the place where Amy Winehouse came but we stay there for the music and the decor! The Ciders are very good and we had no trouble finding a place despite the number of tourists in Camden!

Asked the manager if he could remake my drink because it was too spicy. He was rude and hostile and said he wouldn’t because it was implied that it was (his coworker earlier offered me a range of the spiciness). He came out realizing he was in the wrong and called me rude. He remade my drink at the end but costumer service absolutely appalling. Also made it a point to mention that he was a manager.

So, I love the Hawley Arms as I have always raved about the toilets being a shrine to Amy Winehouse. I decided to come to Camden for my 50th with my wife and friend as I had raved about the Hawley Arms for so long. I was absolutely gutted to go to the toilet to see the toilets had all been painted over except for the back of the toilet doors. This was such an iconic place and my story for the Hawley Arms has forever changed. Beer was good 👍🏼

Probably the worst pint of Guinness I've had in a long time. The glass had lipstick marks on it, the pint itself tasted warm and just off... I can usually down Guinness quickly, but it was a painful drink to consume here, so I ended up leaving half of it. The Amy Winehouse mural outside was pretty cool though - but overall, the pub was just quite lacking.

Popped in for a drink with my family, lovely vibe although relatively quite compared to the the rest of Camden. Decor which gives a great picture of the history of the pub is cool and interesting. Food looked great and from what we could hear people were very pleased. Tiny rear garden but does have a roof terrace for more outside space. Staff friendly and funky. Will go back 👍🙂

Poor pours, better value elsewhere.

Seems to be a recurring theme with rude security. The female bouncer who looked like she had borrowed her jacket from Shaft, told everyone that it was "against the law" to let us use the toilet as the bar was closing and that "as guys, you'll find it easy to go in the street" Haha, what a stupid b1tch. Rude security seems to be killing one of the few bars left in Camden.

Awful unfriendly staff, in particular the blonde, banged down a reserved sign at the table we had just sat down at without saying a word. Found other nice pubs nearby, Oxford Arms for example

This is a famous pub of Camden. To be honest been coming here quite a few years feels less transient & touristy than it used to so maybe the 'Amy' effect is drifting away. There are a few good pubs around Camden but The Hawley is in better condition than some. Saturday/Sunday afternoon is usually rocking in here great atmosphere. Not horrifyingly expensive compared to some.

If you come to Camden and don't go to the Hawley arms !!! Well it's a crime They have the best bar staff and drinks 🍸...let us drink like we are rock stars 🌟

We came here today stopped for a drink with my grandchild. If the tall Man with the blonde hair is the landlord then I must say he’s the rudest landlord I’ve ever met! He tried to usher us upstairs, felt like we were in the way even though they had just opened and it was empty. Made snidey comment about them eating candy floss and getting it over his floor. Not the welcoming we should have had for paying customers. Told my grand children they had to wash their hands.!!! How rude!!! We didn’t eat but the cokes were flat Such terrible service would never visit again!!!!

We visited for a drink today and was served by the rudest bar person we have ever come across! Apparently we found out she was tired and hungover. We all work in a customer service role and could not believe this how rude this lady was! There was no please, thank you or smile. We are really friendly, polite people so there was absolutely NO need for her to be so rude! She rolled her eyes when we asked for different wine glasses, my friend said “sorry I’m fussy!” She replied in a sarcastic rude way “oh I can tell” Why work with the general public when you clearly don’t want to. We didn’t eat in here, however the food looked amazing and the wine was really good.
