This place was recommended to us, so we were excited to visit. We expected a restaurant with a front door, but this is part of a market, which adds to the atmosphere. The staff were fantastic, and we went when it was quiet, so we were lucky enough to get a booth next to the conveyor belt of cheese. The idea is a simple one: each plate has a portion of cheese and an accompanying item that complements it, such as Cornish Gouda with a square of fudge. The plate is covered with a cloche that has a number on it, which identifies the cheese on the menu. In addition, each plate is a different colour, and the colours denote the price, with the white plates being £3.95, grey £4.60, blue £4.95, and pink £5.45, at the time of writing this review. I like this idea, as it’s simple to stick to just the white plates if you’re on a limited budget, and the white plates were the greater in number on the conveyor belt. You simply pick up the plate and cloche for the cheese you want to try. You are given a cheese knife to use. When we first sat down, we were picking cheese out by sight, but after the first few plates, we were choosing from the menu and waiting for the number to come round. There was a good selection and the quality of the cheese was excellent. I liked the pairings, too, which were unusual in some cases, but worked well, and I now have additional ideas for the Christmas cheeseboard at home. The portion sizes are on the small side, and in some ways, this was closer to a taster session. If you really like cheese, it’s very easy to rack up a considerable bill in here without even realising it until it's too late . Even taking into account that's it's Covent Garden, the prices are steep for what you get. That said, all-in-all, this was a great experience, which was a little bit different, and we would gladly do again, but it would be for a treat rather than a regular thing.

Enjoyed the sushi bar style concept. The toasted cheese sandwich was excellent And the staff were friendly and attentive, but for whatever reason some of the cheeses I had were not at their best. If you are going to present cheese in this way and charge a premium price it needs to be perfect, therefore only 3 stars.

We absolutely loved this concept. The cheese was all delicious and some of the accompaniments served with the cheese was a surprise. Be careful though as its so easy to keep going and spend a lot of money

We had seen this on IG and as my 11 yo loves cheese we thought why not!!! We booked for the weekly gel yourself for an hour session and it did not disappoint. So many types of cheeses and the pairing were great. The staff were so helpful- non judgemental and so pleasant to talk to. The Seven Dias Market is a vibrant food area with DJ bar and other options but this is the best!!!! Thank you for making an 11 yo and her mum very happy!!!

Came here for lunch with friends and what a great selection of cheese. We managed to snag a booth which made it much more easier and interesting. It is basically a large conveyor belt with different British cheese. Great selection and they even have desserts as well. Some amazing smoked cheddes, bries and even blue cheese. All the cheese came with a pairing suggestion, and they are absolutely perfect. They give you an endless supply of selections of crackers. Perfect place to catch up with friends.

I love the idea of this place and it should be the best restaurant in the world. However two main issues here. 1. They have some of the most uncomfortable stools I have ever experienced. Sat squished on a corner and the stool is set in place. I was sat next to the other tallest man in the room, very snug with no room. Especially annoying as big portions of the seating was empty from when we arrived to when we left. 2. The restaurant showcased UK cheese which was admirable, however every cheese was extremely tame and out of 26+ dishes there was nothing that packed a punch flavour wise. Surely they can do better than that.

We went here with a voucher we had as a gift. It’s set in a foodie market. We were allowed to choose 8 cheeses/charcuterie between the 2 of us with a small bowl of crackers and a carafe of house wine included. The white wine was surprisingly good. It’s a unique experience. We were presented with a menu of all available items with a product description and you choose the numbers you want to try. We added bread as there wasn’t enough crackers. We enjoyed all that we tried and were pleasantly surprised by the new flavours. I was brave and tried the Stilton ice cream served with a shot of port for a dessert. This was not for the faint hearted and not to our tastes unfortunately. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend to any cheese lover who likes to try something different.

We went on a Wednesday night for the bottomless plates. Good thing we had booked as it got totally full while we were there. We had lots of plates, and tried all that we wanted to (except one which either they didn't have that night or other diners had taken before it got round to us). I want to go back definitely to get that one!

With a passion for cheese, I surprised my wife with lunch at this restaurant as part of a 5-day visit to London. The novelty of service coupled with the quality and diversity of cheeses and accompaniments made for a great experience. Our thanks to our accomplished waiter Shefin, whose welcome, advice and service enhanced our experience even more!

we went to the bottomless lunch on Wednesday, it was fabulous! The staff that work there are a great team all playing their part in serving up great cheese! The staff were friendly and attentive, a real credit to the company. We were there for an hour, we didn't need longer cos there's only so much cheese one can eat (I'm a big cheese fan and struggles )

My partner and visited this cheese bar, which is located in the food market in Covent Garden. We loved the sound of unlimited cheese on a conveyor belt, so had to give it a try! The waiters were very friendly and talked us through how it worked and the pricing of each dish. We tried some plates that were cheese accompanied with something unusual. For example, we had one cheese served with a piece of fudge! We loved all of the cheeses we tried. The only downside of the bar is that there isn’t much personal space, and because it’s so popular you are quite tightly squeezed in and close to other people.

Such a cool concept. I loved my two selections and the glass of wine that I got to go with the cheeses. There is a menu that you can read about the cheeses and once you make your selection, look out for that number on the conveyor belt. How fun is that! Went for a couple of bites before finding dinner in the Seven Dials Market. By far this was the best option. My tip - make a reservation. We were able to sit at the counter as we said that we would only be 30 minutes and left with enough time for them to clean up, run our card, and get ready for the next set of customers.

Cannot fault this lovely restaurant. From tentative service to a fun, convenient set up, everything was amazing. The plates do add up so it did get expensive, but thoroughly enjoyed trying the cheeses with unique pairings. Also given complimentary crackers and bread. Highly recommend the goats cheese and Turkish delight plate. And the fudge and Gouda! In fact, of all 16 (!!) plates we had, they were all perfection. Lovely bottle of red to complement the cheese too. Love the conveyor belt set up of the restaurant. Will definitely be returning! Don’t umm and ahh about trying it out - you won’t regret it. 🧀

Fun place serving British cheese on a sushi belt. Sit at the bar and grab the cheeses you want! We ate a late lunch here and drank orange wine and munched away. On Wednesdays they have an all you can eat seating for 75 mins, but you have to book. As well as cheeses, there are warm dishes to order as well as desserts. Will definitely visit again, and recommend it as a fun experience.

The restaurant is inside a market, so open plan. It was very busy, so best to book! We were seated at our reserved table (at the counter) quicky and given an explanation of the menu. (Non-counter tables can be reserved for 4 guests). The service was faultless. Big shout out to the young waiter with glasses who was very attentive! The dishes were small but a great way to try many. Something new and the pairings were awesome e.g. fudge with a hard cheese. Great place for dates, with friends or just people who love cheese! The choices were about 30 dishes (including 2 desserts). The drinks menu was varied. The waiter was happy to ask the 'chef' for dishes that weren't on the conveyer yet, and you can order off the belt e.g. a grilled cheese sandwich. You need to pay a £10 a head deposit when booking, but this is taken off the final bill. The plates ranged in price but we spent around £45 for 2 drinks and about 7 plates; which is less than we expected. Negatives - the chairs are not comfy (I think they're supposed to look like cheese?), many of the plates had large chips around them, the space at the counter could be used better without the tray, you have to ask for more crackers as 6 are provided each time.

Went for "dessert" after eating elsewhere. Friendly staff, but very noisy as it is situated in a huge hall with many food options available. Wide range of cheeses, although some of the things they were paired with were a bit questionable. A good experience overall.

A lunchtime visit to Pick and Cheese during our recent visit to London was an excellent choice for two cheese lovers like us. The variety of cheeses (and some meats) on offer with some novel, inspired accompaniments has something for everyone as long as you like cheese, but if you don't what are you really doing here anyway? Didn't you read the label? Anyway, assuming your interest in this eatery is down to a liking for cheese you are unlikely to be disappointed. Whilst the format is mostly self-service from the conveyor running around the counter in front of you, each dish is numbered allowing you to cross reference them against the well curated menu. This means that you can easily find something that will be generally familiar, but also that you can confidently be a bit more adventurous and try something new. Yes, it's easy to get carried away and get through more plates than may really be helpful for your cholesterol levels or your wallet, it really is worth it. I expect another visit to Pick and Cheese will be on our itinerary for our next visit to London.

Lovely setting in 7 dials market, nice selection of cheeses but expensive. Cheapest plates were £3.95, this was for a tiny slice of cheese with a couple of figs or sugar cube size of brownie or similar.Booked on their website which was rather confusing,I was under the impression it was 1.5 hours of eating cheese for a fixed price but this is Wednesday only. Came with 5 or 6 tiny crackers but unless you're spending £100 there's no way you can sit there for 1.5 hours. Stayed for about half hour and this was really taking our time in doing so. I calculated our bill to be an extra £5.70 on top of the £20 deposit I'd paid, in fact it was nearly £9, this was due to an added on service charge- THE PLACE IS SELF SERVICE!!!!. Do I pay a service charge when I self serve myself at a petrol station....NO!! Do I pay a service charge at self service supermarkets...NO!!. Nice idea but I won't be going back to pay £30 for about £3 worth of cheese

I love cheese, and it’s such a lovely idea to have them on a conveyor belt like in sushi restaurants, so you can see all what’s on offer instead of picking randomly from a menu - very good reason to try cheeses you’d never tried before.

Sfiziosissimo e nuovo come concept !! Stile sushi roteante ma con formaggio. Consiglierei solo del pane e crackers in più roteanti anch’essi per non stare lì a chiederli sentendosi fastidiosi. Personale giovane e simpatico ! Lo consiglierò!

We visited cheese and pick yesterday in the Seven Dials Market and we loved it. The variety of cheeses were lovely. A really great idea if you love cheese . We booked a booth which meant we could all sit together and the cheese choices were on the conveyer belt next to where we were sitting. We had a menu which itemised each cheese by number so we knew what was in each one and we pre ordered drinks which were ready straight away and the service from Nathaniel and Luna was second to non. Both were amazing and attentive and whenever we finished a dish they would come and take it away and topped up our drinks and refilled crackers as soon as they were low. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are a cheese lover

I've been a few times now, the price keeps going up so get in while you can. The wine is very expensive but the cheeses are lovely & worth the money especially as they're paired either awesome & tasty delights, it's worth the bottomless cheese Wednesday as you could easily spend that in a normal sitting. The staff were friendly but you help yourself so I'm not sure about the service charge but it's a cool concept & tge presentation of the cheeses are top notch. Definitely worth a visit if you like cheese!

We went for the bottomless plates lunch (only served on a Wednesday so booking essential). You basically get 1hr 15 mins to eat as much cheese as you fancy! Whenever some cheese takes your fancy just help yourself from the conveyer belt. You get a little menu so you know what you're getting. What an experience...got to love cheese though!

Dropped by the Seven dials market, since we were getting some cheese at the excellent cheese shop across the street (Neal’s Yard Dairy) and stumbled on this amazing concept. Great selection of cheese, and perfect to enjoy with a glass of port and good company. Recommend this to anyone visiting the Covent Garden area. Can be busy, but worth the wait.

Just wow! I am so glad we found this place, what a treat! I would recommend you go pretty much without a budget. We spent £80 very easily and could have kept going. It’s worth every single penny and next time I would go with a bigger budget as there was more I would like to try and it would be nice to have a drink next time too (only one of us had a glass of wine, it was a heatwave and just so hot so we drank water!) the two waitresses that served us were super nice (sorry didn’t get your names) you were both chatty and friendly. The dishes came round on the belt at a good speed, all dishes were listed clearly on the menu. It was just the right amount on each dish and it meant I tried things I wouldn’t normally order. A nice touch you can tick off on the menu what you’ve had, I was just gutted I forgot to pick it up as we left! We will definitely return here on our next trip to London. Well done guys!

I booked the Bottomless Plates offer to coincide with a London theatre trip for myself and my husband having visited this outlet before with my daughter. It's cheese - lots of different English Cheeses in small portions paired with a complimentary item. Obviously you need to like cheese - although there a couple of ham / salami plates on the belt. Think sushi but with British Cheese. I particularly liked the Cornish Gouda with clotted cream fudge, the goats cheese with turkish delight and the truffled spenwood with roasted potatoes . My husband favoured the Devon Blue with fig coco and the Tunworth with sweet garlic and herbs. The dishes ae served with a variety of crackers with gluten free on request and topped up as needed There is an extensive wine list but we stuck with the water jug, The bottomless plates off is a really good value, yummy cheese experience. The quality of the food, attentiveness and friendliness of staff and general atmosphere are all excellent. At other times the plates are individually priced according to colour, just like at a shushi bar. Remember this is not a formal restaurant being part of the Seven Dials Market which has lots of street food type outlets but it is in a class of its own and the belt seating is comfortable, (there are a few booths available) Allocated time of 1hour 15minutes is ample to enjoy a wide variety of plates, almost all of which are included in the offer price. I added the desert option of stilton and walnut ice cream with port which is delicious! If we lived nearer this would be a regular Wednesday event. I will make a point of organising any London trips on Wednesday to include this food stop.

We loved our lunch at Carrots and Daikon yesterday. I had the garlic tofu Banh mi and my husband had the tofu lunch box. The baguette forming my Banh mi was the perfect combination of crunch with a soft centre and the tofu was nicely garlicky. What really made our day were the ice creams! The chrysanthemum and mango ice cream was such a fantastic combination and the matcha and pistachio was delicious too. We then bought one of each of the other flavours and I must admit that the combinations are creative genius! Who would’ve thought that mint choc chip would go with coffee and raspberry and jasmine tea with its floral notes would hit the spot?! I thought that the coconut and lemongrass was super refreshing too. Thank you to the friendly folk at C & D.

Opened last year or early this year..very pleasant and airy bar / cafe, which if you're arriving early for a meeting or finishing early, is a nice place to chew over the errors in your recent ritual meeting! As usual in London all a bit pricey but very convenient after a meeting in the Temples. Very bright and tastefully decorated with the usual good staff.
