Completely agree with all the other reviews. A unique place. If only other catering at outdoor destinations was this good. Lovely service too.

Lovely coffee and fabulous range of cakes! Nice and cosy, and great relaxed and friendly atmosphere. They had a massive range of different sponge cakes which all riffed on the classic Victoria; I chose peach and mango which was delicious. So delicious that I forgot to take a picture until quite a lot had been eaten! A basic sponge is easy to do badly - this was spot on!

Great location and fabulous bar. Loved it here we have come for a beer for the last 3 nights. Everyone friendly and the beer & drinks are excellent 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We found this place after a long car journey and with three hungry kids in tow. Despite it being close to 3pm when they stopped serving hot food, we were seated quickly and managed to feed everyone. Great sandwiches, and game chips were amazing. Really friendly service, a real gem that we're so glad to have discovered. Will definitely be back!

Fabulous coffee, selected and made with passion and expertise. He knows his stuff and produces excellent coffees both espresso and filter based, including pour over, which is rare! The coffees are very interesting and not your run of the mill beans; some are a really new experience! Always busy despite being a really tiny place - visit if you can!

New owners, very friendly & new food it was all great! I stopped off whilst out on the bike and had a great bacon butty followed by superb hot fudge cake with cream!

Cute little coffee shop tucked away just off main high street. Delicious cakes, good coffee and very nice hot chocolate! Biscuit jar full of biscuits for dogs - very friendly all round! Toilets upstairs. I safely left my husband and our dog there whilst I browsed the lovely shops😊

I absolutely loved my visit to Byfords. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed — the atmosphere is warm, full of character, and perfect whether you’re popping in for a coffee or sitting down for a full meal. The food was fantastic — fresh, generous portions, and full of flavour. I had a tough time choosing from the menu because everything sounded so tempting! The staff were friendly and helpful, happy to offer recommendations and make sure everything was just right. Byfords is the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again. A real gem in Holt! This is the third 2 magpies bakery cafe we have been too. Both Blakeney and Wells are brilliant. The one at Holt was poor , floor needed sweeping, we were told 3 times they were understaffed. The food selection was very poor, no scones at all. We had to wait to be served, 2 other couples near us waited for ages to be served. I went to pay and had to wait ages. This is not the normal standard we expected from the 2 magpies, will not go to the Holt cafe again. Will carry on with the other two

First class seafood from a delightful couple. When I explained that I hadn’t really had a crab-based meal before the gentleman helpfully talked me through the varieties on the menu. I had the crab royal salad and it was fresh, all ‘ready to eat’ and served with bread and butter and a cuppa. A lovely plate of food and all that I had hoped for. I chose a glorious day and sat outside. Will 100% return when next back in Norfolk.
