We had a really good evening together celebrating an 80th birthday. all of us want to come back to Old Hall for another experience. Some ideas that would make the evening even better.... a menu without the prices so that we could identify each of the delicacies..... something to deal with the flies..{a minor irritation}... a method of attracting someone to attend the bar when we needed it. These did not spoil our evening but would have made it even better. Grazing

FABULOUS! We were visiting Ely for the first time and getting a bit peckish! Walked through the market and stumbled across this place. Outside seating was full so we asked for takeaway. The young man serving was polite and welcoming. We ordered two bagels - Nordic and The pastrami one (whose name I’ve forgotten). They came beautifully presented in Eco friendly boxes with compostable cutlery etc, fresh and delicious garnish of salad plus a few crisps. I work in hospitality, often judging chefs, and these guys are awesome. The ingredients were of high quality and a simple Bagel was delivered with perfection! THANK YOU 🙏

Had a very poor quality breakfast bap from Ely Food Station recently. The sausage was cheap poor quality. They put egg mayonnaise in the bap rather than a fried egg which was very strange and not a pleasant surprise at all. The Bap itself was cheap poor quality. It cost me £5.75 which I thought was expensive but was happy to pay if it was actually edible but this was terrible. Don’t waste your money here.

I had a bit of time to kill before my train left so I decided to get a drink whilst I waited. On platform 1 of Ely station is Locoespresso so I ordered a green tea which is something I drink regularly. The young lady who served me was very polite and friendly and was quick to serve me. I get the impression she does not drink green tea herself as she asked me if I would like milk or sugar in my tea. Does anyone else have these in their green tea? I may be in a minority?!?

I was in Ely on business and called into the Minster Tavern. I ordered the chicken flatbread on recommendation of the very helpful and delightful manager, I think her name was Lulu! The food was great and fantastically priced. All the staff were great, friendly and made a person from out of town feel warmly welcome. I would highly recommend!

Called in on a sunny afternoon for a drink. £12.50 for a pint of Guinness and a pint of Aspalls. Most expensive drinks while we were in Ely. Shame the Aspalls was served in a plain pint glass and not a proper Aspalls glass. Seemed to have no fizz due to the glass....no bubbles seen. Stayed in Ely for the week but didn't go back.

Visited on a Sunday morning with our family. Rather busy inside but managed to find a table after a short wait. Lots of dogs and people on laptops inside. Ordered our drinks, 1 tea, 2 coffees and 1 hot chocolate, unfortunately the chocolate was barely warm, which was disappointing. Toilet area clean enough.

While in Ely for a few days we called in here for lunch. Extensive menu, lovely staff and nice surroundings made for a pleasant lunch experience for all. Drinks and food received within 10 minutes of ordering and all very tasty. Great little place to eat in the centre of Ely.

Worst tea I’ve ever had - had to return one as too much milk and second just tasted awful. Just like their caffe which is the worst of all the chains.
