Ely Food Station in East Cambridgeshire

Great to see a food outlet with beer on tap. Hope its successful.

Breakfast roll is amazing. Also dropped my can on the floor and the staff were quick to change it.

Perfect little spot with entry points both before and after barriers. Friendly staff who looked after my lost headphones for couple of days as well 🙂 good value for money and very convenient

Had to wait for my next train and needed lunch and a coffee. Very friendly and quick service. Nice baguette mozerella tomato pesto and a good coffee at a nice sunny terrace at the paltform. Nice to have something else then the well known shops at other stations

Great spot to sup a beer in the sunshine. Shame there's not more of a range of take away beers. The food range looks good too.

A great space to visit when you have some time before catching a train. Bacon roll is good. The staff is friendly.

Cafes nice, pity about the unfriendly staff and London-priced food though.

Was at Ely station for a transfer on a train, had around an hour to spare, Ely food station was the perfect stop off. It’s very welcoming, the staff are super friendly and the coffee is amazing, will be my go to when in Ely

Great place to get a tea, coffee or cold drink and something to eat. All nice quality and friendly staff. No stupid covid nonsense either. Just wish they'd start opening early in the morning again - I'm really missing my bacon rolls!

Great coffee and unexpectedly good food, with very friendly service. It's not often you find a gem like this on a train station platform. They also sell alcohol.

I popped by for a quick snack before my train.The owner was very friendly and had a wide range of selections to choose from. My soup was extremely fresh tasting and was ready in less than a minute! I hope small independent businesses like this survive through the lockdown

Best coffee in Ely and delivered straight to my door in 10 minutes. Would definitely pay for delivery service again and is a great treat during this difficult time.

Having previously lived in Ely, I recently travelled through as a train passenger via the station. Bypassing the usual platform coffee outlets I made my way to the discreet 'Food Station' I must say my flat white was Excellent. With time between trains I was able to savour my coffee in the lounge's warm, spacious surroundings, away from the rain. Great coffee, food & service in a relaxing atmosphere. I shall return..........

Best coffee on Ely station (there are 4 places to choose from!) - flat whites are my favourite. Staff are friendly, and owner responded quickly to feedback.

What a lovely find - a great cup of Coffee and cake - the staff were so helpful and it was great to be able to sit on the platform and watch the world go by - will defiantly make it my weekly stop

The pricese’s of the cold drinks and the food are too exspensive and the hot drinks are too watery and the staff are not warm welcoming and the staff are quite rude and they ignore you and the floor is dirty it needs a good sweep and a mop. And the taybles needs a good clean. I will not come back. To all the customers avoid this place. And you need to retrain your staff on manners. And as a manager you need to sort your staff out. And you need to put the price’s of your cold drinks and cold food down to a sensible price or else you will loose customers.

A lovely spot to wait with a decent cup of coffee for the arrival of a friend - made even more interesting by the fact I could sit at a table on the platform and people and train watch!

I popped in on Saturday and ordered myself a Mocha. Have to say it was the best Mocha I have ever purchased and made by Megan !! Will definitely be returning ! Thank you.

Great selection of hot and cold snacks, locally owned (probably?) and a lovely warm and cosy place to dine. I was a little disappointed to only get a small sprinkling of cheese on a jacket potato that cost £4. I'd estimate only about a heaped table spoon was given on a potato smaller than fist sized.

It's so refreshing to write a review of praise instead of my usual ones aimed to warn people of rubbish food outlets. Ely food station is a lovely spot tucked away at the end of platform 1. Stocking a vast variety of stock it really does have food and drink for every type of traveler. As I'm on a healthy tip, I went for a peppermint tea, a vegan wrap and a naked pecan pie fruit & nut bar which cost £5.50. But there was all sorts of options like breakfast bap and a hot drink for £3, porrage, craft beers soup, iced coffee, beans on toast and the usual suspects like cans of fizzy drinks and packets of crisps. The lady who served me was friendly and helpful and gave me honey for my tea at no extra cost. it was definitely service with a smile. The atmosphere was chilled, with nice music playing quietly in the background, well maintained, clean tables and inviting decor. Also my wrap was yummier than I expected. Will def be coming back when u have time to kill on my train chalngeovers. Top marks !

Ely Food Station serve SOYA milk - fabulous coffee

After seeing good reviews of this cafe we decided to have breakfast there beforecatching a train from Ely Station.At around 8:15am Fri 2nd Nov I ordered two breakfast rolls only to be told; "We have no buns"This despite the fact that bacon rolls were still advertised on the outside billboardand a Tesco store is almost adjacent to Ely Food Station cafe from which a plethoraof buns and rolls may be obtained.It was a prime example of indifferent service.

After couple of hot days in London four of us stepped off train and decided to try a snack lunch here. Turned out perfect. Tables on platform and town side but good choice with snacks and coffee/ teas. Very reasonable also.

Definitely the best coffee on Ely station. Very friendly. If you are a regular, ask to be on their regular list and get every 6th coffee free.

Train stations, much like our High Streets, often look the same, with the same brands of coffee shops and retailers appearing time and time again. The Ely Food Station, I'm delighted to say, is the antithesis of this. A wide range of snacks and drink (including alcoholic drinks and a surprisingly good wine list), with efficient and polite service, and the choice of sitting by inside or out. If you're travelling to or from Ely, or changing here, I'd recommend stopping by.

Perfect tasting coffee lovely staff

It has nice coffee with a feel good back story. The bacon rolls are nice and the service is pleasant. You can access the café from the station platform or outside and there are seats both inside and out. It is a welcome addition to the catering options while waiting for that Lynn train that never comes.

Great range of vegetarian and vegan options and at better prices than most places at stations. Lovely staff too!

What a discovery this little gem is. Tucked away in Ely Station, it's a haven of great coffee and fab atmosphere. Brilliant service too, we'll definitely be back!

At last, somewhere to get a bacon roll (and a decent coffee) on my regular journey to Birmingham! Lovely staff and a warm welcome makes it a real bonus.

Was really looking forward to this place opening, showing off latte art and promising great coffee - which Ely sorely lacks. Have been twice, 2 different baristas and both times coffee was bland, even after being told they do double shot as standard. Good hot chocolate though and ok food, just gutted we remain without a place to find good coffee in Ely.
