We had a really good evening together celebrating an 80th birthday. all of us want to come back to Old Hall for another experience. Some ideas that would make the evening even better.... a menu without the prices so that we could identify each of the delicacies..... something to deal with the flies..{a minor irritation}... a method of attracting someone to attend the bar when we needed it. These did not spoil our evening but would have made it even better. Grazing

Had breakfast in The Orangery and couldn't ask for more - the food was great and the room and views were stunning. Went for a lovely walk in the extensive grounds. The staff are caring and attentive and you are encouraged to stay as long as you like. Well done Old Hall, you turned breakfast into a wonderful occasion - we will return Thank you

We went to the old hall at elyfor Sunday lunch with our family, it was my husbands birthday and as we had enjoyed an afternoon tea there In late january,l decided to book our lunch, again it was a great choice we were welcomed warmly,l must say that the staff at the old hall are well trained , l never saw one person who wasn't doing their very best for the diners with great speed of service, but not without a cheering conversation which also added to the welcoming feeling. We met our family In the cosy sitting room by a lovely log fire and enjoyed a coffee before lunch.we were shown to our table which was laid so nicely, there was a good choice on the menu my starter was the pate which was delicious very light and so tasty, three of us decided on the roast beef, we were advised it was served pink , which was fine for us ,one chose the plaice and lastly the fifth lunch was the roast pork and we were assured this was delicious, there was a lovely selection of vegetables to choose from including red cabbage, carrots, cheesy leeks, sprouting broccoli, roast potato and parsnip, and the beef was served with a deliciously fluffy yorkshire pudding , the quality of the meat was really good and it was cooked to perfection, as were the vegetables.three of us ordered desert one being the treacle sponge and two of us the apple tart tatin with blackberry ice cream which l must say was delicious. We were not rushed at all and felt that every effort was made to make our visit a really a lovely and memorable one. This is a delightful place to visit ,the grounds are exceptional, the complete interior is immaculate , and accessibility is so good with help offered if needed, in a happy friendly an unobtrusive way.everything joined together to make our second visit a special one If you are looking for a treat look no further than the Old Hall Ely

A delightful festive experience. Old Hall looked as immaculate as ever and decorations in the Orangery were attractive and tasteful. A varied and interesting menu with plenty of chances to avoid the dreaded turkey ! Indeed the nut roast was delicious. Service was attentive but unfussy and drink suggestions on the menu to accompany the various courses were helpful. Overall a perfect way to begin the run up to Christmas.

I came here for a lovely family afternoon tea which we had at lunchtime. From the moment we arrived at The Old Hall, we received a warm greeting before being shown to our table and attentively looked after until we had all our drinks and food. Then we were just happy to enjoy family time. After we walked around the gardens, which we could see from The Orangery. They are stunning and well worth a visit. I plan to be back to try out dinner with friends in November which I have been told is well worth trying too.

What a delightful restaurant, the service was fantastic and OMG the FOOD!! I've not experienced anything like it in Ely or even this competes with London, I particularly enjoyed the wine flights. It was such a fabulous experience for me and my girl friends, and a great opportunity to catch up with them all. There was also a pretty hunky waiter which put a smile on my face.

I meet here with my friend regularly for coffee. It's relaxed, dog friendly, and the perfect combination of inside and outside. Ana, who served me today, was exemplary in her service, being helpful, friendly, and professional. Thank you 😊
