The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Erewash East Midlands

After spending an hour or so visiting the Ilkeston Heritage and Classic Vehicle Show which was held on the Market Place it was time for a spot of refreshment. Warm and friendly greeting from the person behind the bar, tables well laid out with good decoration, I love these kind of places, no gimmicks, people talking to each other and a a very good pint of beer.

We left the canal path to find somewhere for lunch, and found this cafe. We had jacket potatoes, chilli and cheese. Lovely food and friendly staff.

We waited 35 minutes for our lunch. We ordered a steak sandwich with mushrooms and a Scampi and chips. The steak was 3 & 1/2 small thin strips of steak, quite fatty, and 3 little bits of mushroom, served between 2 slices of brown bloomer. The bread was so thin that it was impossible to eat it like a sandwich. It all fell apart immediately. The chips were just about ok- they could have done with longer frying. Definitely not worth the £8.49 price. The scampi and chips arrived as a "small scampi and chips" which was not what we ordered at all. Not a good experience. We will never go back there again. Not recommended.

Good for taking children, can feed the animals and nice Cafe on site ran separately to the farm.

We stayed here after a party 22/03 Would not recommend for the price, we paid £80 for a family room. No guards on any of the beds, there was a big mirror just leant against the wall, dangerous when you have children. Pillows was as flat as anything, the kettle wasnt near a socket on the table so plugged in on the floor, again not ideal when you have children. The shampoo / conditionor / body wash was an all in one. Cups were chipped, mattresses weren’t comfy, light bulbs was dim and not maintained.. Poor foe the price.

Bar staff dont know who to serve next. The girl staff was cool. The male staff have small c**** and favouritism .... the bar staff with grey hair has never worked behind a bar. Nottingham would eat you for breakfast 😉

Chips were lovely but overpriced we used to visit a lot but at 29.00 for one pork cob which was average and two portions of homemade chips and two drinks was just to steep for purchase. It would have to be a treat to return at 6.00 for chips which would only feed one. We will have to say reluctant to return as better elsewhere for the money.

Love this place, Staff, venue, atmosphere, food and price all perfect, will be going back here again when in the area. Also a good well kept select of ale. All great.

Received an out of date food item bought Monday 9 Dec expiry reads Nov 24th on package unable to get any UK customer service

Hygiene level poor, staff miserable, food well i have eaten at subway for years and this branch is the pits. Dirty and well the sub was CRAP. my advice forget it dont visit here. No gloves touching there hair and then your food. Looking at there job reviews i can see why not staffs fault looks like its the managements fault. Waste of £8. If i could give it no stars i would just look at other reviews on google.
