Hygiene level poor, staff miserable, food well i have eaten at subway for years and this branch is the pits. Dirty and well the sub was CRAP. my advice forget it dont visit here. No gloves touching there hair and then your food. Looking at there job reviews i can see why not staffs fault looks like its the managements fault. Waste of £8. If i could give it no stars i would just look at other reviews on google.

Went jn today and bought 5 foot long rolls. Used the toilet whilst waiting. No handsoap. Came out and tried sanitiser. None of that either. I was there days ago as well and made tye staff aware but obviously nothing changed!! they didn't acknowledge me but instead just smirked at each other. So basically a food hygiene place has nothing to wash their hands with. The 3 young girls there today have no customer service skills at all. The hygiene has also got to be questioned . Will never set foot in there again.

Appalling service at the long Eaton branch. Arrived and firstly was shouted at for entering, stepping on the floor when they had only just mopped it! Another customer was refused to use the toilet as they had already cleaned it (3 hours before closing) other customers were told they had to order from the door to avoid the bit they already cleaned. Easily the Slowest service I’ve had in a long while even though the supervisor/more senior member of staff was in and out the back cleaning. I asked for my receipt to make but she screwed it up and claimed she didn’t know how to print another one!

Went in to take away due to pandemic, very very regular customers due to the fact that one of the three of us is gluten free and it is one of the few places that cater for the intolerance. When we walked in, there were two people working, an old woman and a young lad. She took my friends order and immediately requested payment to which he refused as he wanted to wait until the sandwich was made in case he wanted any extras, she insisted as it would be “quicker” (despite the fact there was no one else in the shop) but my friend refused and then proceeded to ask for his extras. After this the woman became particularly hostile towards our party. She quickly put his sandwich, hash browns and drink all in one bag. As she passed this over to him, the bag ripped and everything fell on the floor. As he tried to pick it all up, the bag of hash browns ripped too and they also ended up all over the floor as did the sweet onion sauce which my friend put back on the counter. Now whilst this isn’t entirely her fault, and instead the problem of inadequate subway packaging, she should not have put all of these items into such a small bag as it was inevitable it would break. My friend then obviously requested fresh hash browns, personally i would have requested the entire order to have been made considering it was all on the floor. The young lad proceeded to make these hash brown whilst I personally witnessed the old lady whisper to her colleague that “he’s not allowed any more that’s not my problem” which I think is unbelievably unprofessional and I am appalled by this. She then told my friend that he was not allowed any more, took the ripped bag off him and handed him a new bag to put his food in. Thankfully as she said this, the young lad handed him some fresh hash browns as he recognised that we were regulars and never normally cause “problems” like this woman was trying to make out we were doing. You would think this is where the story ends however, due to your clearly insufficient interview process when employing people, it is not. Now I am not a problematic person and proceeded with my order very politely despite the drama that had occurred. The woman then decided to put my food into the ALREADY RIPPED bag that my friend had given back to her which is disgusting. What is even more revolting is the fact that instead of getting me a fresh sweet onion sauce, she put the sweet onion sauce that was earlier dropped on the floor IN MY BAG along with my fresh food which is absolutely unacceptable. Now I am aware people have off days and that this current time is very challenging for some people however, this should not be reflected in your work. I work within the service industry, I understand that customers can be difficult however, you are always trained that the customer should leave with a smile on their face, no matter your personal feelings towards them. I have been harassed and verbally and physically abused within my job and have never responded to those customers in such a disgusting and childish manner. There was absolutely no reason for her to act this way, at her big age. I hope that she will be reprimanded in some way for this as I would hate for this to happen to anyone else.

Staff no idea what they are doing while the miserable supervisor is sitting complaining she’s got to get up again because there’s a queue and 3 trainees on. I work in cutover service and that supervisor had the customer service skills of a plant pot. The guys behind us got his food before us and left before us how? My wrap was a joke hardly any filling and as you can see from the picture wasn’t even wrapped cost me £5 and wasn’t even worth £1. What happened to the signature wraps???? I threw it in the bin and went to greggs. Avoid this place don’t waste your money!!

Customer service was rude. I was given far too much mayo and the next customer agreed with me. Asked staff to remove excess and was told off for saying I only wanted a small amount. Toilet sinks are heavily stained, despite my comments last time. Will not be going back!

Bad attitude and served with very small portions - not like the picture on the menu! Don't get ripped off, go find and support a local, friendly and clean sandwich shop.

This restaurant is great, the food is enjoyable, they are a little expensive but they are worth it, we enjoy going every-time, the only issue I have is that it has no disabled access

The girl behind the counter couldn't even put garlic butter on my sandwich without destroying it. Then they try and over charge you without evening telling you there is extra charges. This is extremely one of the worst of experience I have have and I've always loved subway. Unfortunately you have lost me as a customer. Never again

I often get offers with my Sub Card, this time it was too good to miss. One of the new introduction wraps for free. I chose the smoky bbq chicken and bacon. Well filled and good tasting. Service was good too.

We stayed here after a party 22/03 Would not recommend for the price, we paid £80 for a family room. No guards on any of the beds, there was a big mirror just leant against the wall, dangerous when you have children. Pillows was as flat as anything, the kettle wasnt near a socket on the table so plugged in on the floor, again not ideal when you have children. The shampoo / conditionor / body wash was an all in one. Cups were chipped, mattresses weren’t comfy, light bulbs was dim and not maintained.. Poor foe the price.

Concerning animal welfare standards: I don’t like to be negative, but when it comes to animal welfare, I believe it’s important to speak up and spread awareness. Having been in the animal industry for over five years, I was saddened by what I saw today. I completely agree with a review from eight months ago, which highlights concerns that still haven't been addressed—showing a clear lack of progress despite multiple visitors pointing out the same issues. The enclosures are far too small for many of the animals. While the opportunity to feed them is a nice touch, there should be clear signage indicating what animals can be fed what. From what I saw, the feed buckets given out contained a large amount of carrot and lettuce, which children were feeding indiscriminately to all the animals. Clear guidance would help ensure that the animals are receiving appropriate food that suits their dietary needs. The ducks were confined to a tiny child’s paddling pool with only an inch of filthy water, far from the clean, natural environment they need. The peacock had so little space that it could barely display its feathers without hitting the top of the enclosure. The pigs had very little bedding, raising concerns about their comfort and enrichment. One of the most concerning things I witnessed was the geese attempting to drink from dirty water, but they kept sneezing as if they were struggling with its quality. This is a clear sign that their environment is not being maintained to a suitable standard. Additionally, the flooring in nearly all the enclosures was just mud. While I understand that mud can be an issue on farmland, especially in wet conditions, it would be beneficial to incorporate straw bedding to help keep the animals warmer and more comfortable. The lack of suitable substrate made many of the enclosures appear bleak and unwelcoming. Another major concern was the complete lack of visible enrichment in the enclosures. There were no toys, structures, or natural features to stimulate the animals, making the spaces look bare and the animals appear bored. Providing enrichment is essential for both physical and mental well-being, and its absence only adds to the sense that welfare standards are not being met. I truly hope that steps are taken to improve these conditions. I would much rather pay an entry fee if it meant seeing animals in well-maintained, spacious environments where their welfare is prioritised. As it stands, I would not recommend visiting if you have empathy for other living beings. I wish I would've taken more pictures but I did get a picture of the 'pond' in the Wildfowl enclosure, there are more reviews similar and pictures showing the environment.

Brilliant potential with new owner. Willing to challenge what beers they should sell. We look forward to what they do in the future
