Noticed today one of the Long Eaton smack heads (orignally from the bass house/ bluebell) coming ouot of this pub and going into the bookies over the road. Thats all you need to know. Avoid this pub (and all others in Long Eaton).

Reading the “some things never change” post and they most be on about a different pub?! There’s no construction going on, the drinks and service were great, the Sunday dinner which we really enjoyed was spot on! I would recommend this prime location pub on the high street in Long Eaton to anyone looking for good beer at a good price👍🏼

Looks like refurb is still going on. Very uncomfortable. Beer was very average, so only had one and menu was unappealing. Moved on as soon as my friend arrived to find somewhere more pleasant. Even location is awful in a dingy backstreet so claustrophic I almost had a panic attack. Not recommended.

Popped in here for a quick drink before the show at the Duchess. Friendly welcome. Lots of tellies with sport (horseracing when we visited)

Called in for a few beers on way to Download Festival, ended up haveing a great sunday lunch for £ 5.95 lovely pub food for the money also when we went to bus stop I realised i had left my wallet on table !! rushed back where someone had kindly handed in to member of staff who was trying to track me down on Facebook so overall lovely experience 😎👍

We stayed here after a party 22/03 Would not recommend for the price, we paid £80 for a family room. No guards on any of the beds, there was a big mirror just leant against the wall, dangerous when you have children. Pillows was as flat as anything, the kettle wasnt near a socket on the table so plugged in on the floor, again not ideal when you have children. The shampoo / conditionor / body wash was an all in one. Cups were chipped, mattresses weren’t comfy, light bulbs was dim and not maintained.. Poor foe the price.

Lanes Garden Centre BreastonGood for taking children, can feed the animals and nice Cafe on site ran separately to the farm.

Heanor Road, IlkestonWe waited 35 minutes for our lunch. We ordered a steak sandwich with mushrooms and a Scampi and chips. The steak was 3 & 1/2 small thin strips of steak, quite fatty, and 3 little bits of mushroom, served between 2 slices of brown bloomer. The bread was so thin that it was impossible to eat it like a sandwich. It all fell apart immediately. The chips were just about ok- they could have done with longer frying. Definitely not worth the £8.49 price. The scampi and chips arrived as a "small scampi and chips" which was not what we ordered at all. Not a good experience. We will never go back there again. Not recommended.

3, Green LaneI had no food but it looked good. Just started going in as I want to find a "local". Staff very friendly and beer very good. Good feeling in the pub. Will go again.
