The best restaurants serving Mexican food in East of England

After three years of being a loyal customer, I’ve never been treated with such disrespect. Ordered vegetarian food and was given MEAT. Drove all the way to collect it, only to be told they wouldn’t remake or deliver the correct order - even though they offer delivery. One person’s food is now cold, the other’s is completely inedible. Spoke to the so-called manager who refused to give their name and had a sassy, dismissive attitude. Absolutely no apology, no ownership, no attempt to fix their mistake. This place clearly doesn’t care about dietary needs, customer service, or keeping loyal customers. Avoid at all costs. You won’t see another penny from me.

Food took slightly longer than was informed upon ordering. Food was fantastic once I got it though.

Went into La Mexicana with my partner and ordered an xxl la beast. When ordering, we met a lovely girl who we asked for recommendations, and she came around and helped us to customise the best burrito and helped with all the choices - cannot praise Clea highly enough, her customer service was amazing and she deserves a payrise!!

First time visit, as trying to view the menu above the food station & 2 different staff told me to just use the point of sale machine & wouldn't answer any questions just said the POS system would do it. Had a basic burrito with no additions. Quick food, generous on the portion size of cheese/chicken/rice. Extremely stingy with guacamole. Tasty & fresh while filling a hunger void. Chairs are reminiscent of a 1980s school classroom. All 3 toilets seem to have plumbing issues for sinks as theres puddles below all of them

First time at Franks. Nice décor and warm welcome from the young waitresses. Early Saturday evening was busy and rather loud, with a birthday celebration in full swing on another table. Consequently, our two-couple conversation was rather hard to hear. Maybe, not the venue for an intimate meal then? The food was really tasty, but the tapas style menu was not to my liking and rather disjointed. Gotta be honest, call me old fashioned, but I prefer a formal Starter, Main & Desert layout. I had two Sol beers, but the remaining three only drank water. Consequently, the £190 bill, for what was essentially a selection of Starters did seem rather exorbitant! Maybe, more akin to a younger clientele, especially if in a group of mates and dates and friends...but we won't be rushing back!

Really lovely healthy, fresh, hot food - delivered. Everything was really tasty. Chicken tacos, beef burrito, chicken burrito. Lots of fresh salad. We were spolit for choice. Check out the menu. There is such a wide range. Not just Mexican. We'll defo order again. Highly recommended.

So disappointed, it used to be one of the best! Both starters were cold and the potato skins with beef chilli had no flavour. The medium rare steak came well done, the first chimichanga came cold so got sent back and the second had no flavour other than what I can only imagine was off chicken. By this point the sides were cold and my partner had finished what little meat she could get off the fatty over cooked steak. The fact no one asked how the meal was even though I had two mouthfuls of the chimichanga was very poor service. If you want mexican this isn't the place you want to be going too.

I've come here a couple of times already. The food is reasonably good. Chips are good and the sweet potato chips are good too. Burritos have a good choice of fillings and are tasty, but they come half cold, wish they'd heat them up more evenly. The service is poor, you don't even get a tray (I always ask for one and always get told just "no"). You just have to carry stuff in your hands to your table over several trips.

I'm a little obsessed with the buffalo chicken loaded chips. Fried chicken, stilton, spring onion, buffalo and blue cheese sauces. I think about it every day, here are some pictures of it from my phone. You're welcome...

Tuvimos un almuerzo aquí y pedimos del menú del almuerzo. Los burritos de verdura y carne eran insípidos. No repugnante, comestible, pero absolutamente nada. Los cócteles eran agradables y el precio estaba bien - 12. 50 para almorzar y beber. Pero definitivamente no recomendaría si te gusta la buena comida. Esto sabía a recalentado.
